I wanted to have an old family ring appraised but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on an appraisal as I didn’t think it had much value. I called Russell to get his opinion. I set up an appointment to show Russell the ring. He was very professional and and knowledgable about the ring. He did advise me and confirmed the information that I had about the ring. I would definitely use him again.

After receiving a beautiful heirloom engagement ring I knew I wanted to get it insured right away. I called multiple appraisers around town to discuss pricing and a timeline, but after speaking with Russell I knew I could stop searching.
One of the main reasons I chose him was the fact that I could come in for a 30 – 45 minute appointment and leave with my ring. With no documentation on this ring yet, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving it with anyone for an extended period of time (some appraisers quoted me 2 – 3 weeks until I’d have the ring back).
The actual appraisal report came in 4 business days later. Russell was extremely knowledgeable, precise, and professional. He walked me through everything and answered all of my questions. I recommend him to anyone looking for an appraisal.

Russell was fantastic! I just walked in and asked about getting a ring appraised, and they said Russell was their guy for that, and they put me down on his schedule. So simple.

I honestly wish I had more excuses to see him. He is so inviting and immediately put me at ease. Russ did an amazing job! He worked with my husband and I, very patiently and all via email I might add, to develop the perfect wedding ring. I like working with Russell because he KNOWS what he is looking at and has a sweet demeanor that will teach about what he is doing and why. He is a genuine Certified Gemologist, he knows gemstones and diamond, and metals. I would not trust my precious jewelry with anyone that gives ‘free’ appraisals, they are usually wanting to bad mouth your jewelry or under appraise in hopes of purchasing the items from you.

Greyhouse just repaired an antique ruby ring for me that is a family heirloom. A prong had come loose and the stone came out. I brought the pieces to Russell and he instantly put me at ease that it could be repaired and restored. The finished ring is stunning, and even the new prongs were done with detail authentic to the period. I then brought him a group of gold chains that had been tangled in knots for years to see what he could do with them, having tried many times myself to free them and given up. It was child’s play for him, the man is a ninja! I’m so impressed and so grateful; anytime I need anything in the way of jewelry, I will call Greyhouse first.

My Fiancé went to Russell to design my engagement ring with his family diamonds. He wanted to surprise me with something unique. The ring was perfect and I will obviously remember how Russ made our engagement dreams come true. The quality and care that Russell continues to give us makes us shoppers for life. Greyhouse did a great job when I needed my wedding set appraised. The jewelry appraiser, Russell, met me with a mobile appraisal lab (very impressive!). He did a great job of explaining the steps and what the appraisal meant, and emailed a copy of the appraisal to me as soon as we were finished. The paper copy came within about three days. He even pointed out some loose diamonds I hadn’t noticed, and explained how to get them repaired. All in all, an easy and pleasant experience.

Greyhouse is my new go-​to for jewelry! Russ is so knowledgeable and personable. He really listens and has a great eye. Whether you are looking for something traditional or modern, they can accommodate you. I happen to like vintage looking rings but my ring finger is too small for an actual estate piece.
