In My Boudoir by Lindsey Thorne

I seriously cannot rave about Lindsey Thorne enough. My entire experience from booking a shoot with her to receiving my little black book was extremely fun and easy! Lindsey is an expert at bringing out the beauty in everyone; I believe every woman should feel the way I felt when I saw my photos for the first time! I had no idea I could look like that!
Also, being from out of town, I had thought that it would take a little more work to get everything done before my and my husband’s one year anniversary, but Lindsey made it work for my schedule so I didn’t have to worry at all. She is a quite a professional artist, if you couldn’t already tell from her portfolio! I can safely say that this was one of the best decisions in life I’ve ever made. Thank you Lindsey :)

At first, I was very hesitant about doing a boudoir shoot, but I knew that my husband really wanted me to do it. So I started looking, until I stumbled upon Lindsey’s Unilocal!page. Between the reviews and photos on her site, I was sold immediately.
Lindsey was amazing in every sense of the word. She understood exactly the look I was going for. I am not a very bootylicious girl, but she knows how to pose you in the ways most flattering to your body type/​shape. She was very professional while still being very down to earth. We literally flew through the photoshoot as well, and I ended up with so many beautiful images. I would recommend her to everyone.

Lindsey is amazing. Seriously.
It took me ages to decide what to get for my fiancé as a wedding present. Once I finally decided that a boudoir shoot was the way to go, I was dismayed to see how cheesey and predictable most studios’ portfolios presented. Lindsey was NOT that way. Her ideas were fresh and beautiful.
Once i got there, she immediately put me at ease. Her home studio was clean, safe, and full of gorgeous light. I had no idea what to wear for my 3 outfits, so i brought a million pieces. She worked with me to come up with options that were sexy, but represented me and my personality. I felt beautiful and at ease the entire time!
Best of all, she was willing to work with my tight time schedule and had edited proofs to me 4 (FOUR!!!) days after the shoot! I can’t say enough wonderful things about this talented artist and sweet woman!

When my husband asked me to do a boudoir shoot with Lindsey, I was immediately nervous. I’d done pin-​up shoots in the past and always felt I couldn’t get past my own self-​consciousness. But I sucked it up for my husband and I’m so thrilled that I did because the photos Lindsey shot that day were absolutely stunning and I’m going to treasure them forever. I was actually about 2 months pregnant during my shoot but Lindsay emphasized all the right things and made me look incredible. She guided me the entire time, even modeling how to do poses that were a little more complex. She has such a keen eye for boudoir photography and makes it really easy for her «model» to master. I felt sexy the entire time (rather than silly) and had no problem playing it up for the camera because Lindsey made me feel so at ease. I’m so happy I have these gorgeous pictures that I can show my future grandchildren someday (no nudes, don’t worry!) so they realize how hot their old granny used to be. Thank you, Lindsey for giving me something I will treasure forever!

Lindsey was really great to work with. I was nervous about finding a boudoir photographer and chose Lindsey after reading all of the positive reviews. I am happy to report they are all very TRUE. She made me feel extremely comfortable and she absolutely knows what she is doing and is very talented. My jaw dropped when I saw the first few photos she sent me… I couldn’t even believe it was me at first. You won’t regret going to see Lindsey if classy boudoir is what you are striving for. I’ve even recommended her to a close friend who is also a bride to be and will continue to do so.
I received the gallery within a couple of weeks just like she promised. I plan on giving my fiancé the pictures right before our wedding in a couple of weeks and it’s been so hard to keep them a secret!

This was my second time working with Lindsey and again, it was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease from the moment she got there. I never felt embarrassed or silly. She made me feel beautiful and sexy the entire time. Her skill, professionalism and love for what she does was obvious throughout the entire shoot. She helped me coordinate outfits to look my best. Her creativity is amazing — her eye for for a setting up a shot kept blowing me away. She used places in my house that I never would have thought of! She took maternity photos of me several years ago that were some of the best pictures I’ve ever had taken. I’ve wanted boudoir photos for awhile now but I was holding out until I knew Lindsey could do it because I knew no one else’s work would even compare to hers. I couldn’t recommend working with Lindsey more!

Working with Lindsey is a dream. Her professional and easy-​going demeanor during my boudoir shoot kept me completely at ease. You can tell she is so skilled at her craft– she directed me through each pose, and even helped me pick out the coordinating outfits from the bags of clothes and accessories I brought. Lindsey has an eye for beauty, and the few preview pictures she gave me made my fiancé speechless. While this shoot was a valentines gift for my fiancé, I think I benefitted WAY more than him. My ego is still disproportionately huge!

This was my present to myself for turning 32. Best birthday present, you have to do it. I thought it was going to be awkward and I wouldn’t know what to do. It was actually a lot of fun and Lindsey walks you through exactly how to pose. None of her poses are cheesy and she is really good at putting together your outfits for what’s going to be the best. You have to do it.

Lindsey did a great job as I used her for pics for my husband. She totally made me feel comfortable, had wine ready and music and made the whole session totally relaxing. I love the pictures and would highly highly recommend her!

All I can say is «Wow.» I’m not going to even try to capture what my husband said when he got the picture book, but all you have to know is that he was utterly blown-​away. Actually, I swear he made some kind of «yelp!» sound, yes, pun intended.
I did the photo shoot a few months ago, but I decided to wait to write the review so as not to give away the surprise for my husband since he knows I’m an avid Unilocaler. It was literally a spur of the moment decision for me. I figured I wasn’t going to look like this forever, and after knowing a few friends who had done boudoir shoots in other states, I decided to go ahead and knock it out. Because I’m typically a very conservative person, I was a bit of a wreck researching boudoir photographers in the area. Imagine sweaty pits, racing heart, and my mind in a flurry as I was convincing myself that this was a good idea. As I pulled up various photographers’ sites, I was like that über-​sheltered kid who felt like she was looking at her dad’s dirty magazines, hoping to not get caught. After looking at all the boudoir photographers in Austin, my instinct kept coming back to Lindsey’s site.
What did I like about her photographs? What I loved was how Natural her shoots were. They were tasteful, bright, airy, sexy, and fun. Again, because I’m chicken, the other sites were much too brazen for me — you know, crotch shots, spread legs, putting everything out there in too-​moody-​too-​dark-​bring-​out-​the-​riding-​crop shots. Well, if that’s your thing, by all means! I simply felt Lindsey’s style was what I was really looking for and more in my shoot! All you have to do is check out her website to see how gorgeous her work is. (She’s also a fantastic wedding photographer, and she’s garnered a great deal of recognition for her wedding shoots, too!) Her pricing also stood out, as I was terrified of having to live on ramen for the next few months at the cost of my own vanity, but I must certainly say that I was suprised (yet pleased) that she isn’t charging triple the amount considering how fantastic her work is.
Lindsey was fast and responsive to my email inquiries, and she was able to fit me into her schedule rapidly since I had a small window to do this. Since I was a total noob and had no idea what direction I wanted my shoot to go, Lindsey sent me her Pinterest site with ideas to get a feel for what I wanted. Since I’m also a makeup-​handicapped-​individual, I knew I needed help in the hair and makeup department. Thankfully, she has a package deal that enables you to get gussied up at Blast Blow Dry in Austin. They did a fantastic job, so be sure to check out their reviews too.
Anyways, day of shoot comes along, and I finally make it to Lindsey’s apartment for the shoot. As soon as I walked in, I’m sure I babbled due to my nerves, but Lindsey and her female assistant were so fun and easy-​going that I immediately felt at ease. They offered me refreshments and had some chill music playing. Her studio is also beautifully set up for the natural light that pours in at the early evening hours. As soon as I stepped in, we got straight to pulling out what outfits and shoes I brought. Lindsey was awesome in helping select the different outfits, and I was definitely pleased that she and I were on the same page when it came to outfit selections and coordinating shoes. Nerves begone! I thought I’d be terrified about being photographed by strangers, but Lindsey and her assistant have a way of just making you feel so comfortable and at ease. She directs you the whole time, so you don’t have to worry about awkward poses, inadvertent ugly faces, or bad angles. She has an eye for accentuating your best features while minimizing any flaws. Time flew and next thing I knew, it was over. It was so much FUN!!!
Another detail that I felt that was worth mentioning, is that she is highly respectful and thoughtful of your accessories. I had brought some articles of clothing representative of both of our military service. Lindsey took great care in ensuring that we didn’t do anything that would disrespect the uniform and that we maintained accuracy (even with the level of undress that I was in). I thought that was very special in her approach and I really appreciated her for that.
Within a week or two, she gave me a quick preview of her favorite shots. I was blown away at how beautiful they came out. I couldn’t believe it. Then over the course of the next few months, we selected the best photos to be made into a picture book. All throughout this time, Lindsey maintained great contact and always took the initiative to update me on the process. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless.
If you want to take boudoir photos, Lindsey is Phenomenal. This woman has talent! Her work speaks for itself!
