I love Joe Nails. I have been going to this salon for about three years and they always do a great job. Always accommodating and polite! Highly recommend.

I came here on a whim to get the $ 30 Gel Manicure while waiting for a later appointment. I came in around 3:30pm and there was only one other person being helped.
While I chose my color, they sat me in front of their TV which barely worked. The feed kept going in and out and I soon tuned it out. They were playing a piano soundtrack, and I recognized a few popular tracks like Yiruma’s «River Flows in You», so that was soothing.
My manicurist was Holly, and she was nice enough. She pulled a bit of my skin and I started to bleed, but didn’t notice until she kept wiping my nail and looking at it. I asked for disinfectant and she was very hesitant for some reason. It took coaxing for her to go get it and in the end she said something about it stopping and I didn’t need it anymore, so that was strange.
As for the quality of my manicure, the coats of polish were even and although my nails were cut a bit too short for my liking, it was still fine. Lastly, the only addition you get to the actual manicuring of your nails is a (literally) thirty-​second massage on each arm. It was more like making sure the lotion got into your arm than a massage, and they used Jergen’s lotion.
At the end, the owner gave me a 10% off future service card and a Frequent Buyer punch card that would give me a free eyebrow wax, which I would never use because I only get them threaded.
It was a fine experience, but I’ve payed the same amount for much more and, while I don’t live around here, I wouldn’t come back to try this place unless pressed for time and it was the only one available.

Third visit same excellent service! They recently upgraded their massage chairs, very comfy! My wife and I were greeted with smiles and quickly escorted to a chair. We went for the RAW pedicure but saw the super deluxe which looked very interesting.
Instead of the regular mani my wife went for the gels and she was not disappointed. We wouldn’t go to any other place, Julia, Jenny and Jason did us up right! It’s nice to have them in the neighborhood.

First, I would like to say that I really appreciate that they took me in as a walk-​in. They quickly had. everything ready for my pedicure. John did an amazing job. It’s obvious that he pays close attention to detail. I haven’t had a pedicure in 4 years, so he had a lot to do! My feet look amazing. I love that they put on a timer, so if you get the package for X amount of time, you get at least that. It felt amazing! I could tell they really wanted to do a great job. They offered me water, turned on the massaging chair for me, they even had a cute star shaped bowl with a slice of orange in it for my mani. They did a great job! I would highly recommend. The atmosphere was great. It was quite, the other customers were happy, they had classical music playing, and they didn’t spend the whole time talking back and forth (like other places I’ve been to). Holly and Kim both worked on my mani and it looks great! They even have a stamp card, so if you come 8 times you get either a free eyebrow wax or $ 8 off! Love it!

I have been going to Joe Nails for several years and have never had a bad experience! The owner Jenny is amazing at everything she does and will make your gel looks look amazing! Recently I’ve had Holly work on my gel nails and they have been lasting for 4 weeks without chipping or cracking! I will only go to Joes Nails for my mani/​pedi needs ;)

If you blink you can miss it on 620, but this is my favorite nail salon in Austin! Joe’s Nails is always on point. With the super deluxe pedicure you get a hot wrap for your neck the the longer, most luxurious massaging pedicure…
The people are friendly, and you get water or a glass of wine, if you wish…
High quite polish options– I always go with OPI– which stays on until my next pedicure…
They even have a frequent nail service program.
Been coming here for server all years and I highly recommend them.

My mom, 7 year old daughter and I have been coming here for years. We love their friendly service. What we appreciate the most is that they take their time. You never feel like they’re rushing to complete your mani or pedi in order to get to the next customer. They are so good with my daughter too. Make an appointment b’c they get packed!

Awesome Raw Earth pedicure. I suggest going when you have time to relax. This place is close to my job, so I definitely plan on returning during my lunch break.

Jenny is amazing. She takes her time and is very detailed. Doesn’t paint on my cuticles and gives the best manicures. I will definitely come back. Glad my co worker referred me.

Excellent service! We had a hard time finding the place because the address listed sends you to a residential neighborhood. It’s located right on 620, by the gas station.

All I’ve been thinking about today is going to get a pedicure. I LOVE going here to get my nails done. Reasonable prices for extraordinary work. I’ve been to a number of places in the area and this is my favorite by far! Expect to see me soon!

I’ve been coming to Jenny’s/Joe nails for about 4 years now and I’ve never had a problem. It’s a very nice place and the staff are all nice and professional.
Make a gel appointment with Jenny and she’ll have you in and out there of there in thirty minutes.

Want the most awkward pedicure you’ve ever experienced?
THEN COME HERE.
So I get it. This place is slow on a Wednesday afternoon… But I made an appointment the same day because I was having a rough day.
I walk in, am greeted by an older lady. She walks to the back of the store where she gathers round her posse of pedicurists and as they stare confused at the book of appointments, they all giggle and tell me to pick a color. As I pick a color, I see them staring at me, almost snarling. Awkward moment #1.
Next, they seat me and the only male in the store is assigned to me by the 3 females in the store. Yes, assigned. As they were giggling while I was choosing a color it they point him toward me as if it were some
kind of cruel punishment. Awkward moment #2.
Then, the 3 women sit in a corner and gather while gossiping and staring at me for the next 45 minutes. AWKWARD moment #3.
Alright, what unfolds has got to be the most awkward pedicure, ever.
Never coming back.
I’m honestly not sure how this place has such raving reviews.

After a bad experience I was MIA from Joes nails for quite a few months. After hopping nail salons I couldn’t yet find one that met my high standards like Joes nails. So I decided to give another chance! I came in and Jenny the owner herself did my nails and was constantly making sure I liked what she was doing. She apologized many time about my last experience and was so sad I hadn’t been in for a long time. My nails turned out perfect and almost 2 weeks later they still look amazing! I went in today for a pedicure and boy did I miss those! The milk pedicure is my absolute favorite and they really take the time to make sure to remove all the calloused areas! Jenny is a great owner and really cares about her customers and makes sure you like everything! No other place has better services or an owner and staff like Joes nails!

I don’t often write reviews on Unilocal,but I figure I have to share my experience after my visit this Monday.
I went to Joe’s Nails for both pedicure and manicure around 6:40 pm this Monday. Although it was close to their closing time, Jason, the technician whom I am always with, did not rush me at all. He did not shorten the process. I did not leave their store until 8:10 pm. I felt so bad, but Jenny, the owner, kept telling me not to worry. I was very impressed with the way how they treated their customers.
My husband and I moved to Cat Hollow in ’05 and I did not find this place until a couple of years ago after reading the great reviews from Unilocal.I wish I had found this place earlier. Their services have been consistent with great quality. Besides Jason, I have had other technicians to do my nails and pedicure. They are all very good.
The owner Jenny is such a sweet lady. She really cares each of her clients and always makes me feel comfortable and happy. I highly recommend Joe’s Nails!

Sadly I cannot write a good review anymore. They have had my business for 8 months, with visits every 2 – 3 weeks, and each time was an experience, sometimes great, sometimes very mixed.
I did gelish nails (gel nails) and pedicures. Pedicures were done by a mix of people. Some did them great, some did them very poorly. But they usually were relaxing. I have short legs. About half of the chairs let me move ALL the way forward comfortably, the others do not.
My nails. The owner’s sister started out doing my nails. We worked HARD together to do my nails properly. Ie, DO NOT FILE THEM AT AN ANGLE. Each time I still had to stress this. Some time in Feb I met someone else who seemed to know how to do a proper rounded square, and I was able to just relax during my manicure, instead of periodically having to take the clippers myself to get my nails shaped properly.
Then I was told she was no longer working there. So I tried another person. He truly was the FIRST PERSON to apply the gel in thin layers so it stayed on longer than a week (I never had the opportunity for the owner (Jenny) or other more experienced members of her family (like Bobby) to work on my nails – when I specifically asked for her, she said she had to stay available in case something came up with other customers!) So I requested him. THEN I got a call that he no longer worked there, but the other person was back (???) She again directed me back to her sister, I specifically said I did NOT like how she did my nails, and was told that since her sister spoke English I would be able to tell her what to do. I’ve been trying that politely (and less politely) for a while.
I’d go back for the pedicures, but unfortunately I think I have to go elsewhere for my manicures. Too much work on my part to get them right – I’d do them myself if I wanted that much effort.

Only place I go to get my nails done. I adore the staff, especially Bobby! He’s very thorough and a super nice guy. Jenny is also really really good, but is always busy so make an appointment if you want her (she’s the owner).
Actually, make an appointment no matter what because they are almost always busy.
Jenny remember you and always makes you feel at home. She’s so sweet!

This is my favorite nail place in Texas. It’s clean, the staff are always friendly and Jenny the owner always goes out of her way to make your comfortable and happy with your experience.
The gel manicure is awesome cause you could go two weeks with them looking fresh. When I don’t get gel my nails still look amazing. I love how they always offer you a beverage and always seek your approval to ensure your satisfied and happy. I will keep coming back …
