Joel came highly recommended by our realtor. Even after we compared three others, he came out on top because of his speedy service and friendliness. Joel was super responsive in his emails and made the process go so smoothly and quickly. He consistently gave us updates on our loan and answered any questions we had no matter how big or small. We closed on our first home in 30 days (we could’ve had an early closing, but the sellers needed to stick to their scheduled closing date to finish packing). He even showed up at our closing to help explain our final HUD statement and future mortgage payments. We highly recommend Joel if you want to have a smooth closing and get it done as soon as possible.

Excellent communication, easy transaction.
My husband and I purchased a duplex in Austin, and although we live in California, it was the easiest loan process and escrow coordination we’ve had.
Joel and his team tell you what they need, you give it to them, and they move forward really quickly.
They have some sort of system which updates you with emails every step of the process so you never have to wonder if you’ve missed something, or that they have forgotten about you.
We were able to close escrow 10 days early because of their expertise, organization, and excellent communication skills.
Would highly recommend Joel Richardson and his team.

So after moving to Boise and briefly attempting to deal with mortgage related issues with local folks supposedly in the same business as Joel (they were clueless), I decided I would continue to work with Joel from a distance of over 1,500 miles away. Made me realize he was and is the best. Always has good advice, never says that’s not possible, and doesn’t blow smoke up your butt.

We went to Joel after speaking with three other lending experts, and having read the excellent Unilocal reviews. Those reviews are spot-​on, and so is Joel’s motto: ‘Prompt, Reliable, «No Bull» Service’. Joel immediately made us feel like we were being treated as individuals, rather than another number. He was extraordinarily forthcoming with information right from the start, and that carried through all the way to closing. We had never taken out a construction loan before — and while everyone else made it sound like Mission Impossible, he made it As Good As It Gets!

Despite my good credit and a 20% down payment, most banks would not give me a loan for my condo. Joel was able to do just that and offer me an unprecedented interest rate!
When dealing with the nitty-​gritty of paperwork, Joel and his people were able to expedite the process fairly quickly even when I was out-​of-​town on business.
Even when there was a snag with the HOA at the very end right before closing, Joel was able to resolve the issue without me lifting a finger!
I highly recommend Joel to anyone buying a condo.
