Johnson ATX Moving

Was a bit leery about using Brandon because of the previous write ups. I am a full time airline pilot and part time pilot in the TX Air National Guard and have had many moves in my Air Force Career. From day 1, Brandon had great communication via text and email. He showed up right on time and did a great job moving all household goods from Austin, TX to Atlanta, GA.

Clearly the guy doesn’t show up. He stood me up as well. Fortunately I no longer trust anyone off craigslist so when I noticed he wasn’t showing up within 15 minutes I called another company as a backup. Never heard from the guy again. Called and called, no answer. I borrowed a friend’s phone and then he did answer; when I questioned him about why he wasn’t answering, he hung up. Classy.
What’s the point of making appointments and then not showing up? Is this one sick joke? I get a feeling this guy gets a kick of hearing pissed off people on the phone.

We booked him for Monday, Aug, 12, 2013 at 8:30am for a move. We called him the night prior to verify & he said he’d be there. He did not show! We tried calling & texting him all Monday morning. He never answered nor returned our calls or texts. We then called from a different # to which he answered. We tried to find out if he was ever going to come & do the job he promised & he hung up on us.
His name is Brandon Johnson. He has done this several times before to other clients.

Also known as «Longhorn Moving». Confirmed everything via phone & text with Brandon Johnson– moving date and time set. I took time off work and sat there packed and ready — waited for hours. NO SHOW NO CALL — I have yet to hear from him after several phone calls and texts. Moving is stressful enough — do yourself a favor and get a reputable mover!

BEWARE! WILL STAND YOU UP!
I had Brandon booked for my move on June 25^th. Spoke with him on June 24^th and confirmed the time of 3:30 and the location. I drove from Dallas to Austin, rented a U-​Haul and proceeded to wait, and wait, and wait. I had started calling at 2pm just to let him know that I was in town, picking up the truck and would c him soon. NO RESPONSE! Didn’t even have the deciency to let me know he was not coming so I could locate someone else! I am a 53 year old, single woman and had NO ONE to help me. I am considering filing a civil suit! I can’t believe Brandon would do business like this???

Do not depend on this guy! Moving is a stressful enough time as it is, and the last thing you need is some slacker leaving you high and dry.
We had our move scheduled with Brandon for weeks, he confirmed by email multiple times leading up to the move. He even offered to let us use his truck, so we canceled our U-​haul. Big mistake. Our scheduled time came and went, and we never heard one peep out of Brandon. We called multiple times and it was like he was dodging our calls. So we hired somebody off of Craigslist who was more reliable. I mean come on dude, it’s not like being a mover is rocket science. We were just sitting in our apartment surrounded by all our stuff with a couple hundred bucks in cash. Just show up, do your job and take our money! Anyway, if you’re planning a move, do yourself a favor and go with somebody else.

I hate to write negative reviews and was going to give this guy a chance until I read the other reviews below. There is nothing more stressful and downright heartbreaking when someone stands you up on moving day. We sat at the storage room last night waiting for him to get there at 7 PM as promised. We worked really hard to get it out of the Uhaul to make it easier for him and put on the curb as we waited. He no showed on us and we had to scramble to get it all in there by 10 pm as they closed. He didn’t return our calls or texts. Two small, petite girls and one guy had to move two people’s worth of stuff into a storage room. Couches, beds, heavy boxes, etc. I can’t believe he would do this to someone. Maybe he has no conscience.

If I had only experienced Brandon’s services once, I would have rated him five stars. Unfortunately, he was a no-​show on the second move! I used him a few weeks ago to move from a house into a storage unit. I emailed him from Craigslist, then exchanged a few text messages and he and his partner showed up right on time. They moved all of my things into a 5×5′ storage unit in about an hour and a half.
Several weeks later, I was ready to move from storage into my new apartment. I texted Brandon because I had other movers (who I scheduled with because they were available earlier) fail to show up. He said he could move me at Thursday around 10:30 am. Wednesday evening he texted to say it’d be closer to 12:30 pm. No problem – I appreciated the early communication, and said that’d work. I just asked for a 30 minute heads up so I could meet him at storage.
Thursday at 12:30pm came, and I heard nothing. I waited until about 12:45 then texted to see when he thought they’d be free. Nothing. I waited (he was probably busy moving boxes or driving to my place, I thought) and then called him at 1:10 and left a polite message asking him to call or text. Nothing. So I texted about 1:40 and let him know I’d left a message and would he please get in touch so I could plan my day. Nada. I gave him another call around 2:15, just in case maybe he had missed the other three attempts. Nope, nothing.
Seriously, dude, I wanted to pay you money. Hell, I even helped my other movers (it’s a three-​floor walkup, a real pain) and I would have tipped you on top of the fee, probably given you some beer.
Bottom line – based on the reviews here, I’d say you’re flipping a coin with this guy. If he feels like moving that day, you’ll probably have great service. If he doesn’t feel like it, be prepared to get someone else.

Like the review above, Brandon totally bailed on me on my moving day. We reserved his services 2 weeks in advance, and even confirmed the appointment the day before. The day of the move, he did not show, and did not respond to numerous text messages, emails, and calls.
To add insult to injury, he even posted an ad for same day services earlier that day. This implies that he ditched my job for a bigger one.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY!!!
Instead, go with Eric Escobar Moving: (512)788−8352. Luckily I found him on the Unilocal review above when I was in a bind. He is a super nice guy, very professional, and very reasonable.

If I could give this guy 0 stars, I would.
He totally stood me up on my moving day! We had been communicating for weeks prior and I booked the date and time. He even sent me a confirmation email the day before! Come moving day he was a no show. He didn’t call, respond to my emails, texts or messages I left on his phone. (He never called me to explain what happened or to apologize.) What a jerk!
On the bright side, I was able to find a replacement mover from Craigslist who showed up 35 min after I called him and he was cheaper than BJ ATX Moving! I highly recommend this guy instead of BJ: Call Eric Escobar Moving: (512)788−8352. Not only was he there on time, he was super nice. I ended up giving him and his helper a bonus because they were so awesome!

Unilocal won’t let me give 0 stars, but consider this a 0 star rating. Brandon did NOT show up for my move. He did not call, text, or email. He was nice and professional in the week leading up to the move, but the morning of, he did not answer my phone calls, emails, or text messages. I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend him to anyone. He has yet to respond or explain himself.

I had called and left a message for Brandon and never heard back from him. 3 days later I texted him and he responded within minutes. We schedule a time and date for him to bring 2 movers and a truck. On the day of the move I waited for 30 minutes after the scheduled time to call. NO ANSWER!!! Then I texted and called several more times. As of 3 HOURS PAST the time he was suppose to be here to help me move on my ONLY day to move, I still had not heard from him.
I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the fact that I relied on him to assist me to move! Now I am stuck moving my entire apartment on my own with no help from him.

I cannot tell you how extremely disappointed I am in this company.
Brandon and his helper were supposed to show up to do a two-​hour job at my apartment at 8:30AM this Monday. They never showed despite the fact that he confirmed the appointment Friday evening. And here it is Wednesday evening and I still haven’t heard from Brandon after reaching out to him both through e-​mail and telephone.
I strongly strongly advise against using Brandon. The fact that he didn’t have enough tact to contact me to tell me that he wasn’t coming or even contact me after the fact is just mind-​boggling.
Luckily I was able to find other movers same-​day, but I still am in awe of what a horrible HORRIBLE experience this was.

I called Brandon from Craig’s List last minute last Sunday afternoon and he responded within an hour.
I liked his fun ad ~ He said that he promptly responds to calls, texts, emails, and even smoke signals!
He arrived promptly at my storage place with a Uhaul truck, blankets, and a dolly. He was focused, extremely careful, pleasant, and quickly moved my stuff from storage into my new apartment.
He has very reasonable rates and a partner as well if needed.
