So, good and bad about KoTD.
Good: The owner was very responsive, very professional, and did a great job getting out 98% of hail dents and dings.
The bad: Their first attempt at paint work was a bit shoddy. I refused to accept it as in that condition. So they sent it back and did it again. The second time was better, but not perfect (some clear coat «spots» on the side panels). This time, however, it came back with my antenna damaged. Although they said they would fix and replace it, I’ve yet to hear from them.
I’m not sure if I’d use them again or recommend them. The reviews made it seem like they did a lot higher quality work than I experienced.

I run a tree service and because of the work we do my trucks are constantly taking a beating. I had driven by their body shop several times but never stopped because I thought to have all my trucks fixed would be an outrageous price and I didn’t want to take my trucks out of service for a lengthy period of time to have the work done, because that’s my lively hood. I had 15 minutes to kill one day so I stopped in and prepared myself to be overwhelmed. I was immiedietly greeted by Todd, who is a genuinely nice guy. I told him my concerns and convinced me to just try him out on one of my trucks. I brought one by and the estimate he gave me was actually in my budget. He was able to do the work the next day and I picked up my truck on Monday and put it back to work. These guys made an ugly truck look good! Since then, I have taken in three other trucks and had the same great service on everyone. The guys at King of the Ding are awesome! They have earned a customer for life. I highly recomend King of the Ding.

Good folks and good experience! I had a bungee cord accident with my less than a year old truck that left a tennis ball sized dent in the rear panel.
Took it in for a no hassle estimate. Called a week later to get it fixed and they got me in the same day. Took about 45 mins to fix and you can’t tell anything ever was wrong. Great experience!

The worst experience I’ve ever had. Because of mainly two reasons.
(1) You might be charged more than the original estimate.
(2) The repiar time might take more than what they say.
I had a really minor dent. Todd told me that it will take only three business days at the maximum, even said two might be enough. I dropped the car on Saturday and waited until next Wednesday. I called him and he told me «It was not ready». I called the next day morning and it was still not ready. He told me that it might be ready in the afernoon. Since they never call you back I called them again and no one picked up.
I called them next day and he told me it was still in the other body shop. He didn’t know what was happening to my car and told me he will call me back. He called me back and said it will be ready by the afternoon.
Thanks god! It took me a whole week to get back my car.
I went to pick up my car and ready to pay for the balance which he quoted originally. However, he looks at the invoice and said «There is an additional cost for emblem and you have to pay $ 130 more for the cost.»
He said they had to change the emblem during the repair and it was not included in the original estimate.
I am really frustruated because if you are charged more than your origianl cost, repair shop nomally calls you first then they move on. However, no one told me that I will be chareged more even we talked over phone multiple times.
Overall they might offer you a cheap price at first but might charge you more with what other body shop offers. I would never go back to this place.

I had King of the Ding in Georgetown repair some small dents and scratches on my wife’s Subaru and it looks great! They completely repaired what two local auto body shops wanted over a thousand $$…for a fraction of that cost. They were courteous, fast, friendly and do fantastic work. Even gave me a ride while they had the car. I can’t recommend them enough. Great job guys.

My wife’s car was damaged recently by a trailer that scraped against it causing the fender, wheel cover, bumper and other parts to need replacing. I had read and heard that King of the Ding in Georgetown was the place to go so I gave it a shot and delivered her car to them for repairs. The guys were very friendly and professional. I appreciated the way they treated me when I got there and also liked the fact that King of the Ding is a veteran owned business! We definite support our vets!
By the time the car was finished, it looked flawless and my wife was grinning ear to ear which made me happy as well! The paint job by Andrew looked as good as the day we bought the car and that was a huge bonus in my wife’s eyes! Should you need any work done on your vehicle, check these guys out! You’ll find them to be very knowledgeable and genuine. Hopefully we won’t need any future repairs or dents removed from our vehicles, but if we do, we know where to get the job done.

New body shop specialist, Andrew, at King of the Ding in Georgetown did an incredible job repainting my back bumper. It only took a few hours and it came out flawless. The staff is extremely friendly, accommodating, and worth the 20 minute drive from Austin!

Called Jason at 11:45 on Saturday to ask when I could get the headlights on my Granddaughters car polished as they were quite foggy with age. Jason told me that there was a coupon on Amazon that would reduce the price to $ 40 (about ½ of the normal) and that if I called back with that he would schedule me in. Called back within the next 5 minutes and he told me to «Come on down» (I live close by in Anderson Mills) and he would get it done prior to closing up for the weekend at 1pm.
He took 30 minutes perhaps to do the job during which time I sat in the little lounge area (with AC) he has set up.
Great job when he finished and I feel a lot better with my GD driving at night now, the lights will give her far better illumination.

Can’t say enough about how awesome Jason is over at King of Ding.
My wife and I got hammed by the hail storm a few weeks ago. Both of our cars… a 2012 Kia Sorento SUV and my 2010 BMW Convertible had plenty of hail damage. I called my insurance and they scheduled me with some body shop… who couldn’t get me in for a month.
I called Jason over at King of Ding… he helped me get my appraisal approved, got me picked up in a rental car, and made sure both our cars came back looking better than when we dropped them off.
Seamless, perfect, and most excellent customer service.
Use them, that is all.

The King of the Ding, WOW these guys really live up to their name. About half a year ago I purchased a new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I had never taken off the doors until last week. Doors went back on, but they swung open when my back was turned and the mirror put a huge dent in the cowl because the door strap was disconnected. I was DEVASTED. I had outfitted my jeep with 35″ tires, aftermarket bumpers and side steps, it was supposed to be IMPERVIOUS to the dings that normal cars get. A quick search on the forums led me to believe that this was pretty common and they a lot of people just live with it. Not an option for me.
I searched for PDR places in Austin and it looked like the two logical choices would be Dentworks or King of the Ding. Dentworks was closer and had better reviews, so I swung by their little place on Burnett. Their guy took a look at it and said that «we can’t fix that» and that «it would never look the same». Needless to say I made a call to King of the Ding and they gave me their full confidence that they could handle it. No appointment needed, just swing by tomorrow they told me.
When I arrived I was greeted and they took a long look at it. It would be difficult due to the location, but they said it shouldn’t be a problem. Joe took it around back and I waited in their waiting room. Comfortable couches, TV, free Wi-​Fi, clean and modern looking, none of which I found at the other place. Jason was awesome and answered any questions I had.
About an hour and a half later my Jeep was back looking brand new. Joe is a wizard at dent removal and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Hands down if you are looking for quality work from people that genuinely care, these are the guys you want. I’ll be coming back to get the interior of my hardtop painted black too!

I brought in my car because I clipped a pole and damaged my rear door and quarter panel on the day after Christmas. I attempted to call 2 body shops that offered paintless dent repair to get an estimate and was unable to get anyone by phone. My hopes were diminished at this point, but I decided to give it one more try and called King of the Ding.
Channon, the owner, answered my phone call. We discussed my situation and he explained what services his shop offered and what would most likely be appropriate for my vehicle based on my description of the damage. Most importantly, he took the time to record my information accurately, schedule my appointment, and transfer over my information to the gentleman that works in the office I would be going to Jason.
When I finally arrived, the service was quick and responsive. Jason knew who I was, the details of the damage, and was able to get an estimate together very quickly after the damage was reviewed.
The most impressive part about the work Channon, Jason, and the technicians at King of the Ding in my opinion is their level of communication, follow up, and follow through they displayed in each and every aspect of the process.
The work they did was excellent on my vehicle, the site of the damage was repaired in such a way that I doubt I would’ve been able to find it if I hadn’t know where it was already. They identified other small dings and dents that could be repaired at low cost with PDR as an added bonus.
I must mention that Jason took the time to vacuum and wash my car for the sake of good presentation in what may be the worst weather we’ve had yet in 2015 (maybe not saying much, but it’s freezing (to Texans) out there today guys). A nice cherry on top in my opinion.
I would strongly suggest using this shop if you’re in need, though I sincerely hope that you don’t find yourself in a situation where you do!

Wow, what a great experience.
I had my Charger less than a month when it was assaulted by a vicious hailstorm. It was heartbreaking.
I saw an Amazon Local deal for King of the Ding that offered a great discount for fixing the damage, so I purchased it blind thinking I had nothing to lose.
I just picked up my car this afternoon, and it looks brand-​new again. It took a little longer to get fixed, but it was because the insurance adjuster couldn’t make it to the shop until the fourth day. As soon as GEICO approved the work, King of the Ding had all of the work done by the end of the day.
Every panel on my car had multiple dents. Today, there are NONE! The work was fast, and could not have been done better. Words cannot describe how pleased I am to have my orange beast restored to her full glory.
If your car has any hail damage — or any other damage for that matter — run, don’t walk, to King of the Ding to get it taken care of. You won’t regret it.

If you have an eye for detail, and you need something more than paintless dent repair (like hail damage) I would definitely go elsewhere.
I had dents in both bedside panels of my Tacoma, I needed a new bumper, and I wanted the wheel well trim resprayed because the paint was flaking off. The work was done quickly, which was nice, but it turned out to be at the cost of quality workmanship.
The price I was quoted before the work began went up when it was time to pickup my truck. When I inspected the vehicle the new paint had small pits in the clear coat, sanding marks in the paint had actually been sprayed over with clear coat and could not be buffed out, and some of the new paint didn’t cover the existing damage. I asked the owner, Channon, about the flaws and he provided me with a number of interesting quotes:
«Your truck is 7 years old and it has flaws all over it, don’t give me a hard time about the flaws in my work.»
«Those swirl marks in the paint that have been clear coated? I’m not going to fix those.»
«If you want me to respray the wheel well trim I will, but it’s going to turn out the same.»
After some debate with Channon, ironically standing under his «100% Satisfaction Guaranteed» sign, I cut my losses, paid my inflated bill, and drove away with a set of new flaws in the paint on my truck. Overall, it was a terrible experience. If you do business with Channon, I hope you get the 5 star service others have reported, but if the work you need requires something more than the most simple body work I’d take your business elsewhere.

They did a great job on my car. I needed a new bumper, headlight, and fender and I was quoted $ 1000 less then 2 other places. I got the feeling that customer service is a plus here and they really strive to make the customer happy.
I took my car in Tuesday around noon and was told it would be done Friday, the latest Saturday but weather played a part and I got my car back Monday evening, the only other minor glitch was when we went to pay our estimated price went up about $ 75 but only because of extra parts they weren’t aware we needed until they took the broken parts off.
I would for sure use King of the Ding again… hopefully I don’t need to though =)

I didn’t like it at all. I checked the price before I go, they said, under 2,5″, it’s $ 75. I showed up, he saw my Camaro and said it’s $ 100. I asked why, he said it’s because of the location if the dent. Anyway, I said, go ahead and fix this. They did not do a good job. They caused some new scratches on my car. When I pointed out those, he tried to clean them with a fabric while wearing a metal wrist strap. So it was hitting my car, I said stop it, I will take care of my new scratches by myself. Anyway, it was a total bad experience!

You WILL NOT find a better place than this. Channon is one of nicest, most genuine people I have ever met. I took my car in to get some hail damage repaired and could not have been happier with the process/​results. As others have said, it was effortless. Channon worked from the estimate that I had received from my insurance company and dealt with any adjustments without any needs from me. On top of all of that, the car looks flawless.
If you’re searching for a shop, do yourself a favor and just go here. Even if it’s across town from you. Seriously.

Great service, great repair work, and great manager. I had a pretty big dent on the hood of my car, most body shops told me it’d cost around $ 800. The manager here was really professional and honest. Told me exactly how he was going to repair the dent and said it’d cost me about $ 300.
My car looked brand new and couldn’t even tell where the dent was. In addition, he does provide military discount for anyone it applies to. SEMPER FI!
Overall great experience compared to other body shops I’ve experienced.
