Robert L. Keates began his legal career as a criminal defense attorney, handling a multitude of criminal jury trials and cases from simple assaults and DWI /​DUI to complex felonies such as robbery, computer crimes, and drug sales. Mr. Keates has vast experience in arguing legal defenses along with highlighting violations of arrests and missing evidence from a defense perspective; he has never been a prosecutor and therefore has real courtroom experience on how to truly defend your case. The phrase «knowing the other side of the law,» typically mentioned by former prosecutor turned defense attorney, is better viewed from years of experience in the courtroom establishing defenses against guilt, not supporting it.
