Meet the Business Owner

Ward D.

Business Owner

A native Texan, I was born and raised in Dallas. After graduating from Jesuit College Prep I went to undergraduate school in New Orleans and somehow walked out of that city with a degree four years later. I immediately returned to Dallas and began working as an Investment Banker for JP Morgan Chase. I decided I’d like to go back to school… so I went to teach 5th grade on the beaches of Roatan, Honduras and studied for the entrance exam.

While studying nights at SMU Law School I worked a variety of odd jobs and even managed to fit a few clerkships in. I stayed in Dallas in the corporate scene before moving to Austin to open my own firm and enjoy the finer things in life like Deep Eddy Pool, riding my bike in designated bike lanes and leaving work early on Fridays.

I enjoy my work when it allows me to help people. I’ve described my job to friends as «a for-profit social worker.» Writing has always been a hobby of mine and I’ve contributed several articles to the Texas Bar Journal.
