Learn and Play Preschool is a DFPS Licensed in-​home preschool program geared toward children 2.6 years through 5 years of age. Our program is dynamic, educational, creative and teaches a wide range of life skills and kindergarten prep skills. We incorporate a whole-​child focus teaching philosophy that includes the social-​emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child. We excel at working together with parents to effectively navigate common childhood behavioral issues. Learn and Play Preschool has an outstanding local reputation and is filled with very happy children and parents. History

Established in 1991.

Learn and Play Preschool was opened in 1991 by teacher and owner, Deanna Barnes. Learn and Play Preschhool has always offered a high quality childcare experience. We are a DFPS Licensed in-​home preschool program and we’ve had (0) deficiencies in the last 10 years. Deanna has over 55,000 hours teaching and caring for young children and is blessed to have a job she loves!

I have always loved kids! As a teenager, I babysat frequenty then nannied for a few years. While studying child psych and development in college, I decided to start my own childcare business. In 1991, I opened Learn and Play Preschool and have been in business for more than 24 years! I have roughly 60,000 hours of experience teaching and caring for young people. I am the very proud mom of three children that are in the 4^th, 5^th and 10^th grades. I love my job teaching preschoolers and we have tons of fun playing, exploring and learning about how our world works.
