Honestly couldn’t have asked for better service. My car was repaired a day earlier than expected and was returned to me shiny and clean. Larry made sure I was set up with a rental and even set up my ride to Hertz. No issues with insurance, everything went smoothly. Longhorn Collision recently did bodywork on my son’s 2007 Honda Accord. I found them on Unilocal from the other great reviews! They did everything they said they would do from start to finish! From getting the estimate, to scheduling, to finishing on time they were awesome! Larry kept us informed on the progress and was very helpful! They made having bodywork done on an automobile not nearly as tedious as it has been for me in the past! I would definitely use them again!

This place is excellent. Sometimes as a young female I find that I am overcharged for auto work, but Larry and his team were honest, efficient, affordable and informative. I would recommend them to anyone needing work on their car!

Professional, efficient, honest, and quality customer service. These folks did some body work on my leased 2014 Ford Explorer which had damage from a hit-​and-​run earlier this year. When the dealer recently expressed displeasure in the paint job (again, done several months ago), Longhorn Collision corrected the problem – no hassle, no questions asked. I was relieved and pleasantly surprised at how easy they made it. You just don’t find that level of customer service any more.

The side of my car recently had an unfortunate run-​in with a concrete retaining wall and lost. Frantic to find a place to fix it, I found Longhorn Collision on Unilocal.The reviews were excellent and the location was on the right side of town for me. Before contacting my insurance, I stopped by to get an «eyeball estimate» of what it would cost to fix. The staff was so friendly and helped me through the whole process. One of the staff walked out, told me approximately what it would cost to fix it, and why (expensive due to a necessary door replacement). I immediately decided that I would file and claim and the staff walked me through the whole thing. They told me exactly what to ask the insurance company and what to expect. The next day I dropped my car off for repairs and when I got the claim amount it was right on the money! I didn’t have rental car reimbursement, but if I did, then they told me that they would’ve set that up for me too. It took a week for my car to get done, but I received frequent updates about its status.
I highly recommend this place if anyone needs car body repairs. They are so nice! I was definitely not disappointed at all and would take my car back here in a heartbeat… although hopefully I’ll never have to.

I called longhorn collision center this morning. My car had been broken into over night and it had poured down rain. Needless to say I was having a rough morning. I stepped out of my car and right into a puddle and screamed out the «F» word. Very classy. Ont of the men opened the door and welcomed me very nicely. They really made me feel comfortable and at ease which is hard to do after you deal with a break in. I just want to say thank you to the whole team. Scott Baker was the man who did my window repair. He drove down from north Austin, picked up the glass and called me when it was done. I was busy at work an unable to pay him at that moment but he had a website set up and allowed me to pay later that day. Thank you Longhorn Collision, it really meant a lot.

The staff at Longhorn Collison ROCK! There’s nothing worse than coming out and finding that someone has left you a nice scratch and dent on the side of your NEW car. Well, that’s what happened to me, but the folks at Longhorn were able to take good care of me and my car.

After managing a body shop office for 8 years (in my hometown, before moving to Austin) I find I am a bit harder when judging the work of a body shop and the staff. Longhorn met all of my overly high expectations. Our collision was extensive front end damage with blown airbags. This shop kept me in the loop with what was going on, was always helpful when I spoke with them. I appreciated that they didn’t assume I knew what was going on and was always willing to explain the steps they were taking to work with my insurance company. I have been very pleased with the body work as well as the mechanical work that was needed.

Our daughter’s SUV was badly beat up in front and couldn’t pass safety inspection with lights hanging off. The guys at Longhorn Collision took great care of us and gave us a great price. The car looks great. They were super friendly and took great care of us. I highly recommend them!

If you look at my other reviews on Unilocal,you can start to discern a pattern — all of them are 1 star reviews for businesses that I hate and want to fail. This might actually be the first time that I’ve liked a business enough to want to help them succeed. From Time Warner Cable (transfer my call 5 times to disconnect service) to University Realty ($ 185 off my deposit to change a light bulb and an air filter) to COA utilities ($ 200 deposit required after more than 5 years of timely payment, because I briefly lived with a roommate), we deal with a lot of miserable businesses that operate in our great city. It’s so refreshing to find a gem like this, especially because you might not be in the best frame of mind when you need a body shop.
At first, I didn’t see getting rear-​ended on the 183 access road on my way to my office holiday party as a positive development. Especially since this happened to my 2-​month-​old Subaru Impreza — my first new car after 10 years of driving an old, junky pick-​up. The next day I was calling insurance claim representatives (ugh) and worrying about trying to schedule a rental car for my pre-​holiday work travel (ugh again) and what little hair I had left was already falling out. Well I can honestly say that my car looks BETTER than before the accident (not sure how this is even possible). Every phone call I had with LC was absolutely seamless — these guys know their stuff. Rental car waiting for me when I dropped off and, even better, they take almost all of the insurance hassle off of the customers shoulders. Since I work for the Department of Insurance, I get plenty of insurance from 8 – 5, and I don’t feel like dealing with it in my spare time.
The staff strikes the difficult balance between being completely helpful and friendly, without seeming obsequious in the least. Larry, Don, and the other guy (sorry I forgot your name, other guy) are likely the nicest people working anywhere in Austin. I’ve been in Austin since I started at UT in 2004, and I’ve had many business interactions both good and bad. Without exaggerating, this is now the absolute best business I know of in Austin. If anything at all happens to my car in the future, I will go to Longhorn Collision without a second thought. If you can think of a way to get into a really minor accident just so you can visit this place, I would highly recommend it.

I’m a poor college student, and they really helped me out. The staff was beyond friendly, and got my car to tip top shape. The glass guy accidentally scratched my tint, and Larry was genuinely apologetic and fixed it right up for me — they even gave me a ride back to my apartment! If you want fast, friendly service that will get the job done — definitely go here.

Have been here a few times for some major to minor repairs. Larry and his staff is amazing and nails their customer service. Came in today with a basic fix, they dropped everything, took care of it while I waited.

I had a fantastic experience here, and that is really saying something considering I was in for a very unhappy reason (vandalism).
I expected to be unhappy from the start, because I assumed I would hate the entire process. Would I be ripped off? Would I be nickled and dimed? Would it come out not looking quite factory perfect? Instead what a got was an extremely easy and fair process with fantastic customer service and a spotless car. It turned out all of those worries were unfounded.
Although I ultimately decided not to handle things through insurance, I did take them up on their free claim estimate as a nice independent source for the damages. I then got an estimate from LCC without telling them I had already done one with my insurance, to see how they stacked up. I assumed my insurance might quote fairly or if anything a touch low since they’d be handing out a payment, and any body shop would quote much higher than fair. I was extremely impressed when LCC quoted me a very similar number right from the start. It told me they are here to do a good job and succeed through referrals and repeat business rather than trying take advantage of someone.
The employees were all extremely friendly. They even showed me a car on which they were doing a similar repair so I could see what to expect and how it was going. Once we got started, they would send me friendly texts to let me know what my car was doing, when it was started, how everything was going, etc. I really loved this, and it made me feel like the employee really feels responsible for you and your car while you are under his care.
In the end, the job was finished dead on with the estimate, and even though I had a challenging metallic paint the car came out looking flawless. I waited a few weeks with my car always parked outside before reviewing to see how it would do, and after that terrible rain storm we had where my car got pelted with hail, the freezing cold front, and the 90 degree sun all in three weeks my car still looks like it just came from the factory.
I rarely write lengthy reviews for businesses on here, but with the way they cared for me and my car, and how fairly I believe they treated me, and just how friendly and happy the guys were, I can’t say enough. I would easily recommend them to folks here and will be referring my friends as well.

First things first:

2. I unfortunately get into one too many sticky impact situations.
I dont trust anyone one with my car! I’ve been coming to Larry and his team for car repairs for years! In the past 4 years, LHC has fixed several of my car issues including replacing my driver side mirror and putting my ripped off bumper back on twice. I’ve been to other body shops but you will never find a place like LHC.
Here are the reasons why:
1. Mega fast turn around– I’ve gone in several times for repairs and usually can get my car back the next day. Getting an estimate is quick and speedy.
2. Larry and his gang will only charge you for what is absolutely needed to be done to your car. There is no fancy bull like you see at other places like disposal fees or something. They charge you for the parts they need to buy and the reasonable time it takes for labor. LHC has not once seemed like they were ripping me off.
3. SUPREME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! This is really the cherry on top of it all. Larry will probably remember your name after the moment you shake his hand. Every time I walk in he and his staff always recognize me even if it has been over a year since I’ve visited. The moment you walk through the door you are greeted with smiles and addressed as quickly as possible.
People here care about you and your car. They give a 110% to each and every customer. Young or Old. Poor or Wealthy. For as long as I live in Austin I will always trust these guys with my car.

virgin reviewer here. I never review because I feel I cannot say what has already been said about a place. but holy %@#$ was this place an expectation exceeder, the likes of which I may never know again. Let me lay it down for you.
I call this place the friday before Labor day. I need a new passenger door because of an accident. The owner/​manager Larry tells that unless he sees it, he can’t make a fair estimate, but can safely assume it will be around $ 1100. I show up the following tuesday, and Larry is not there. Instead, I deal with the other manager, Bo. And this dude was perfect. I’m gonna keep this short and sweet…
estimated it was $ 726. after a few more minutes of chit chat he dropped it to $ 600 flat.

Paid him the next day and thursday he was ready for my car. I didn’t have time to get it to the shop before work. «Oh no problem, I’ll come pick it up and bring it here so we can get it on sooner.»

fixes it in a little more than a day, paints it, pops out a dent in my back quarter panel that I didn’t expect could be done, and replaced a busted speaker with a new one. Remember, $ 600.

He’s there on Saturday (the day they’re closed), putting the finishing touches on my door. I tell him I’m waiting on my roommate so I have a ride. He comes and picks me up in North Campus and brings me to the shop to pick up my car!

Granted, the door had a slightly different molding than the rest of the car. But honestly, after all that, I could not care less. and they had put a layer of clear coat along with my paint, which bo told me is the right way to do it. The rest of my car doesn’t have it so my door looks a little shinier than the rest of the car, But again, I spent $ 600 for EVERYTHING. and it was done in 2 days.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!
First off, let me start by saying 3 things that I’m sure many people will relate with:
1. I’m a broke college student.
2. I’m a busy college student.
3. I highly value customer service.
One week ago, my stupid apartment gate shut on me and knocked off my passenger side mirror. I was freaking out because I have work, organizations, and other responsibilities that all involve using my car. I can’t be driving around without a side mirror, that’s illegal! My mom called around and found the best quote in Austin for a fixed mirror, and she set me up with Longhorn Collision. They literally ordered my part the day my mom called, and I was ready to come in right after they painted the mirror to the color of my car (they didn’t even need to see my car, they just did everything and had it all ready to put on)!!
Seriously, I was amazed by how quickly I could come in. I got my mirror fixed for $ 130 flat, which is good considering I could have bought one online for about $ 50 – 70, then would have to wait a week for it to ship, then would have to figure out how to put it on myself.
I do NOT have the time or patience for that, especially with my busy schedule. Although $ 130 is a good chunk of change to a college student, it’s definitely manageable and a good price for the quality, quickness, and service you get.
All of that was BEFORE I got there. So now let me talk about how my experience got even GREATER when I arrived. I’m not going to lie– when you first pull in, it kind of looks sketchy. It’s super close to campus, on S. Lamar, and you can’t miss the big LONGHORN COLLISION sign on the building. It’s no fancy dealership, and the outside isn’t the most kept looking. BUT PLEASE DO NOT BE TURNED OFF BY THIS! As soon as you walk into the office, you’ll realize that this is quality service you’re getting. The couches are clean and white, the space is very clean and tidy, and it’s definitely an enjoyable place to wait. Also, I saw some super nice cars there– BMWs, Mercedes Benz’s, etc. If those luxury car owners can trust those cars there, I’m pretty sure my little Nissan Sentra will be fine there too.
As soon as I arrived, Larry came to my car with a bright smile and a helpful attitude. He kept apologizing for the delay and felt sorry that I had to wait… but I didn’t mind AT ALL (mostly because I only waited for literally 3 minutes until they started fixing my car). He was so thoughtful, told me to pull up into the shade, then invited me to wait in the office. There, Bo came and told me that he’d be putting the mirror on my car and it wouldn’t take more than 20 minutes.
IT WAS QUICKER THAN AN OIL CHANGE! I brought study materials and even nail polish because I thought it would take a while. I painted two nails, and they told me it was ready. They asked me if I wanted to see the car before paying, because that’s their policy– you don’t pay until you see it and are satisfied with it. But I was so happy with them already I just paid first and said I’d take a look at it on my way out. Of course, it was perfect. The mirror paint matched perfectly, and it was just like new.
Honestly, I don’t know the other prices around Austin. My mom said she called a bunch of places and this place gave her the best deal, so I trusted her. But even if this place was a bit pricier than others in Austin, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LONGHORN COLLISION for all your repairs because their customer service is just phenomenal. Their warm welcome and very helpful attitude made my experience enjoyable– and that’s saying a lot for a car repair service!
Larry and Bo (and also another man I briefly spoke to to ask for directions to the office) were cheerful in such a genuine way. The kind of way that makes it seem like they love their job and genuinely want to make your experience the best it can be while you’re there. THAT is such a rare thing to find nowadays, and I applaud them for that. They make you feel special and welcome without overdoing it or being fake. I honestly couldn’t be happier or ask for more from my experience there.
So, in conclusion: if you want a modestly priced, QUALITY, quick, CUSTOMER SERVICE oriented experience, come here.

I was blown away by Larry, Beau, and the staff at Longhorn! Intelligent, helpful, and honest.
My story:
I just moved to Austin from California and BOOM! An uninsured idiot runs a red light into me at the intersection of East Oltorf and Pleasant Valley Rd. Needless to say, it was a nightmare trying to work out the aftermath with my insurance in California.
Not knowing the reputations of any shops in the area, I did what State Farm said and had my car transferred to Caliber Collision. When I visited Caliber, I was surprised and distanced their cold demeanor, probably because they knew my car was a total loss and I wouldn’t spend the money on their astronomical estimate. I did some research and found good Unilocal Reviews for Longhorn, called them up and Beau walked me through the whole process, even sympathizing with me. I immediately felt that I could trust him and had my car towed from Caliber to Longhorn.
Larry, the shop owner was very through in describing the damage to my car (I know NOTHING automotive) and gave me a few options, ranging from fixing it to safety to restoring it to new. Another bonus point for me was that he was very familiar with the insurance procedures, another thing I was clueless about. I’ll say that though their prices may seem high, the level of customer service, personal attention and knowledge that they care about the outcome of their work is worth it. I was very pleased with the result and this will be my new body shop as a new Austinite if God forbid I ever get hit again. And living in the Oltorf/​Riverside area, it’s bound to happen again with all the mindless driving that goes on around there.
The lesson I learned:
After your accident, bring your car straight to Longhorn and don’t mess around with the corporately owned shops, ESPECIALLY if you have an old car like me.

Larry took great care in handling the repair of my son’s Mustang.
And we put in an insurance claim AFTER the repair was done, and Larry helped us through that process seamlessly.
