We specialize in hail and storm damaged roofs and have saved thousands of customers money over the years by helping them understand, and walking them through, the insurance process. If we find only slight cosmetic damage and the integrity of the roof is still intact we will tell the property owner of our exact findings so they can make an informed decision. Masada Roofing is not a storm-​chasing company… our focus is on Austin, TX and the surrounding area. Our customers can reach us year round… not just during storm season.

Masada Roofing, Inc. is a family-​owned Austin-​based company. We have been in the industry since 1999 and have built our business over the years by referrals from satisfied customers. We are an EPA «Lead-​Safe Certified Company». We are a company specializing in hail damage and storm damage and insurance claims, we also offer energy efficient replacement windows, siding, and roof ventilation systems, as well as radiant barrier insulation in attics which can save homeowners as much as 20% on their energy bills. Masada Roofing replaced our roof a few years ago and did a great job. Recently, some storm damage needed repair. I called Masada and Derek answered the phone, came promptly and made the repairs at a very reasonable cost.

We had a small leak during the recent Austin monsoon rains/​floods, so we called Derek at Masada. Masada Roofing put on our current roof in 2009.
Derek returned our call and came out to look at the roof (and even caulked one of the joints) at no charge. The rains we had pushed an extreme amount of water in a short time. We haven’t had any issues with the roof until this storm.

Called Derek last summer since I was getting solar panels installed to have him check the roof to make sure it was good for a while. The city solar rebates require a roof with at least 10 years like left I think. Was incredibly easy to work with, gave me a great detailed inspection and would definitely use him again!

Hired Masada Roofing to evaluate my flat roof after a home inspector flagged the roof covering as at «end of life». Derek responded right away to my email request, came out to my house, and presented me with 4 reasonable options. After I selected asphalt roll, Derek worked hard to schedule the installation around our unpredictable Texas weather to ensure my roof would not be exposed to rain. I’m sure Derek manages many jobs simultaneously but I felt like I was his most important customer. We scheduled two days for the project but Derek’s crew completed everything in one day! Very professional. Excellent work. Great communications and advice from Derek.

Completed my re-​roof at the end of March. We did this in conjunction with a claim for Hail damage and an insurance adjuster. Derek Foley met with us 2 – 3 times, met with the adjuster to review the damages and again with us to demo the shingles and trim. Derek is a very patient man and was able to patiently answer all of the questions/​anxieties my wife and I had about the job.
The completed job was amazing. The recommended trim and shingles looked great. Now I need to make the rest of this 1978 house look as good.
For energy efficiency we did elect to go with the Polaralum (liner between roof shingles and sheathing) to reflect heat away from attic. My early tests of temps in the attic indicate a 10 – 15 degree cooling, further tests this summer in July/​August will show the results.
We both were completely satisfied with the work done by Masada.

Since I am in charge of managing couple of development projects, I do work quite extensively with the local contractors here and for this particular project, it does require to be a 5 star green building. Therefore, we chose the Ridge Vents roofing system by Soffit Vents because we heard good things and the huge savings it can have on utility bills. Masada roofing seems to specialize in this and get it right. We’ve been receiving positive feedbacks from our clients so I’m definitely happy with the results. We might try Attic Breeze solar powered ventilation down the road if there’s a higher demand for green projects, which is also offered by Masada. But for now, we are satisfied.
On the side note, it’s been very easy to work with Derek and Diana and I can easily recommend this company for your roofing projects, whether they are commercial or residential.

Masada Roofing replaced my roof in one day, and removed all trash and scraps that day. While replacing the roof Derek Foley noticed other problems not associated with the roof and corrected these problems at no additional cost to me. There are not many business that actually do exactly what they said they would do, and go beyond what you hired them to do to ensure you are satisfied. If you have roof problems, they are the ones to call.

After a recent hail storm I needed to have my roof replaced. Derek from Masada helped me with the process the whole way. He met with the insurance adjuster and was able to include a small flat roof that I had previously been denied 8 years earlier. The installation crew was large, professional, and finished in one day. I did have one small problem with a nail that wasn’t driven in all the way, but Derek came and fixed it immediately so it wasn’t really a problem at all. I would definitely use them again.

No Stars! Working with this company was a terrible experience. They were recommended by a friend who did not use them personally, but only spoke with the owner and liked that they were a small, local company.
The owner seemed nice and competent at first, until I decided not to go with him. When I changed my mind about using his company, he did not want to give me my money back (I changed my mind that same day). I had to threaten legal action and even then he ended up keeping $ 150 of the money. I pursued it a bit, but was in the process of moving and did not want to enlist the help of an attorney for this small amount.
