Boooooooooo That 1 star review!!! I have bought a mattress from the north location and the south location and both were good experiences. Quit trying to tear down a small business. I just sent my mother in law to the south location and she was happy too. Mattress man for life!

Really happy with this place. Jason was so helpful and really knowledgeable about then best mattress for the best price. He even offered to work with our schedule on delivering the mattress which a lot of places won’t do (they just give you a time block and expect you to work around them). Overall very satisfied with our experience here, and the prices are definitely worth it!

I was hesitant to go to this one because it had mediocre reviews. But I found that Jason was a nice, friendly, relatable guy. It was super quick, easy and cheap to get a mattress. I got a queen set for just over $ 400, and that was one of their mid price range items. They deliver it right to your home at a time that is convenient to you, and arrive right on schedule. The store hours can be wonky because one guy runs the whole place by himself, but I think it’s worth it!

I bought a mattress from the north store a couple years ago and had a great experience. So, when it was time to buy a new king size mattress, of course I thought of Mattress Man. Went to the south store a little after 3pm on a Friday to find the door locked but the neon sign said open and this is within their posted business hours so I was a little confused. There was a card saying to call Jason on his cell, so I did. No answer so I left a vm. Had my 11 mo old with me so I couldn’t just stand around. Jason called back and said he was getting something to eat and there was a long line and he would be back in 20 — 25 minutes. Then he said he would text me when he was leaving the restaurant. I took my child across the street to Dairy Queen and we ate. Went back to the store 40 min later and it was still locked. Jason never called me back or texted. I guess he doesn’t want my business. So I went to Urban Mattress and had a great experience. Spent a lot of money too. Your loss, Jason.
Cory, The website says lunch from 12 – 1:30. I was there at 3:00, as my review states. I’m not sorry I spent a lot of money. It was worth it. The mattress I bought is much better than the one I bought at Mattress Man a couple years ago.

Plus, Jason said he would call or text me when he was done and he didn’t. I guess business is so good that you don’t need mine. Message received. I’ll tell everyone I know not to shop there.

I spent hours poring over websites and search engines and the prices for quality, name brand mattresses were pretty consistent across the board. Then I found Mattress Man.
At first, I thought it had to be one of those smarmy places that post insanely low prices to get you to go there and then pull a bait and switch or the quality would be bad and they would claim the mattress was ‘comparable’ to the name brand. Such was not the case.
Once I got there, Todd (the 3^rd, I think) was extremely warm and his personality was bigger than the store itself. His largess and permanent smile conveyed a man who was warm, honest and genuine. I finally got my kids to lie on the mattresses because I refuse to buy either of them anything they wont ‘try on’ first.
When it came to prices, Mattress Man’s prices were posted conspicuously right next to MSRP and MM’s prices were HALF the price of the MSRP! Not only that, delivery was FREE.
If you don’t need a box spring you get 10% off the order and good, quality mattress covers are a flat $ 50.
When it turned out that my son needed a longer mattress, upgrading was a cinch; MM representatives are all one big, happy family. I was able to order what I needed over the phone and to our delight what we didn’t think we would get for several days ended up coming the same day as the other mattress we ordered.
Leo, bless his heart, handled some seriously bad traffic to get our stuff to us. No matter who I talked to, and I talked to several different people, every one was extremely nice, courteous and I was never wary or concerned. My only question was how could they make a profit at these prices? But that’s none of my business and because their prices are so LOW, I was able to get each of my kids much better mattresses than I thought I could.
This is the only place I will ever go for mattresses in the future; and they gave each of us a memory foam pillow for FREE!
A no-​hassle, painless and pleasant experience instead of the usual shock to the wallet, delivery charge, next week sometime experience? Oh hell yeah! Mattress Man is the best! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They have a great selection, they deliver free and fast. Couldn’t ask for a better deal!

Needed a mattress for my daughter after we moved– called Jason and he helped me over the phone. Had it delivered in 2 days– such an easy purchase– great quality and service for the price. Will certainly buy here again– and he is local! Thank you very much!!!

I needed a new bed when I moved to Austin. Someone told me about this location. Glad I went Jason helped me pick a great bed and mattress. I ended up getting a bedroom set BC it was in my budget. Moving is a pain but this experience made life so much easier.

The sales rep from the South store and Cory contacted me personally and apologized. They also offered to work with me to try and rectify the situation. That means a lot to me. For that reason I have boosted my experience to 3 stars.
Again, I *really* like their products and prices. They just need to make sure that communication and complete deliveries are high on their list.

Overall this was a great painless experience for my husband which means we will become repeat customers when it’s time to shop for another mattress.
We walked in and Jason’s’ high energy and eagerness to help us find exactly what we needed was a welcome bonus. Unlike some of my normal shopping trips which can be more of a «window shopping» experience we knew we what type of mattress we wanted, a price point and no real rush. We had sold our last bedroom set, which was way too big for our guest room, and were looking for something simple to meet overnight guest needs.
Ironically I had helped a friend search for full sized bed a few months earlier and they ended up going slightly over budget with the full-​size market here in Austin. I had mentioned a well-​known store in San Antonio to my husband but he thought he would give Google the chance to see what Austin had to offer.
Mattress Man website was easy to navigate and had a couple of options right on price point.
We opted to go to the south location since we were already in that area and we are happy that we did. Jason showed us a couple of options and when I referenced one of the online models, he was apologetic about not having it at this location. He did offer to get us a look at the north location. He also offered to Since he had shown us a couple of other models and helped us in understand the specs of the model we inquired about we decided to lounge around the other models we were interested it. Jason was able to give us a great deal and we were well on our way.
Our bed was not in stock, but was ordered within a day and Jason helped make arrangements to have it send to the North store since my husband works in that area.

Saw a good response on Unilocal so I walked into the South location and had a bed in my price range ordered within minutes. Quick and easy! Jason was really helpful and used time from his lunch break to deliver my mattress the next day! Really nice customer service! I would definitely recommend Mattress Man.

Where can I even start about my experience with Mattress Man!
I was in the market for a bed, very very short notice (I needed one that day) and Mattress Man (South) was the last store I visited. The beds are clean, the store is walkable, and there is plenty of great art on the wall. Oh, and I couldn’t beat the price of my new bed!

I’ve been window shopping for a mattress set at a fair price for some time now. After visiting their online store I prepared to make the 45 minute trek up to the North store. What pure BEAUTY it was for me to discover there was a store located 15 minutes from my house, what luck!
From the jump Jason was upfront, honest, and professional. He didn’t push me to buy a set on the higher end of my budget like some stores will. But he helped me find a quality mattress and even got it delivered SAME DAY!

Jason was very helpful in finding the right mattress for my wife and I. The atmosphere is laid back and low pressure. Delivery was prompt and set up was easy. It was a great experience.

Though I had trouble getting in touch with the south location after ordering my mattress, north location helped facilitate communication and delivery. The guy who delivered was really nice and quick with set up.

Looked and saved for a mattress for months! Found Jason and Matters Man South because of all the great ratings from the North store. I could not be happier with the quality and the price of not just the mattress but the foundation also and with the money I saved I got to put money down on a beautiful bedroom set that I saw at Rooms to Go for hundreds more! Then he told me about his financing! Haha! Fast forward three or four days and bam! I just got our furniture delivered and my wife couldn’t be happier and I’m finally out of the dog house! I really suggest visiting Mattress Man North or South, but when you pick out your mattress know that you’re getting quality from a Austintatious home grown furniture store not some big city conglomerate store.
