History

Established in 2010.

Mimosa Screen Printing started by Jameson Crain and Mills Hogan as a creative outlet and entrepreneurial business venture in true do-​it-​yourself fashion. Coupling our own homemade four color printing press, exposure unit, and washout booth with equipment found on craigslist and at garage sales, we transformed a South Austin garage into a fully functional screen printing shop. This DIY process, literally building the company from the ground up, relying on creativity and ingenuity, and learning with every step of the way, has provided invaluable experience and a unique understanding of the screen printing process from it’s most basic level.

Recently, we have moved locations and upgraded much of our equipment to increase the quality and efficiency of our production process. We are now capable of printing intricate designs with up to 6 colors and as large as 24×36.

Business Owner

Jameson was born in Houston, Texas and lived in Oregon and Washington for much of his childhood before settling in Austin, Texas. After graduating from St. John’s High School in Houston, Jameson attended Arizona State University in Tempe where he studied Architecture and worked as a Graphic Designer. Since earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, Jameson has been pursuing entrepreneurial and creative interests including screen printing, graphic design, web design, photography, and film and video production.
