MINI of Austin

I love MINI & I have owned 2 since 2011… They are wonderful vehicles… 5+ stars all around!
My motoring advisor, Marco Routledge, and staff at MINI of Austin are FANTASTIC! This was by far the best experience I have EVER HAD purchasing a vehicle. My husband and I stopped in b/​c my Countryman’s warranty was going to run out in a few months and we had been debating getting a new Mini OR extending the warranty…
Marco He was spectacular! No pressure, but extremely helpful and found the perfect MINI for me. I was able to upgrade to a Countryman S that had a few more bells & whistles than the one I was currently in with $ 0 down and it was only a few dollars more a month than what I was currently paying… I have only been driving it a few days but I absolutely LOVE it!!! If you are in the market for a new car and have ever considered getting a MINI you have to see Marco at MINI of Austin…

Robert. Robert T. Robert Tyler was my helper guy man and he’s the reason I’ve given this rating. He’s too nice, too friendly, too helpful, and knows WAY too much about his job and all the cars. He’s too good at his job. Idk MINI of Austin. You’ve got to do something about this guy.

I recently bought a used vehicle from Mini of Austin and couldn’t be happier with the service I received. I worked with Mike Benacci, one of the best car dealers I have EVER worked with… and there have been several. The overall experience was straight forward, simple, and painless. I will be visiting the folks at Mini of Austin for my next vehicle!

This time I had a better experience with the service in Mini of Austin. After I payed for the replacement of the engine of my car I received the warranty this time and they didn’t charge for the mechanical service. I received my car a couple of days ago. And surprisingly today the engine light warning appeared again :(… So I think I’ll be back again :(:(so sad I was so happy for the service this time with Rob and now I don’t know :(…

I’ve been interested in Mini’s for quite some time. I almost bought one back in 2012 but fate intervened sine I was meant to have this epic (I don’t use that word lightly) experience now.
I first began looking at used Mini’s at various other dealerships but saved the best for last and went to the authorized Mini dealer of Austin.
Upon first look, this facility is damn cool. It’s visually stunning, great lines, great colors and offers Starbucks hot cocoa and coffee. Oh and the good flavored creamer. They even have a stocked mini fridge with Mountain Dew (kiddo was happy) and other canned drinks.
I loved the people watching since Mini, new to be owners all have a certain ‘Je né sais quoi’. The Mini Sales Guy that helped us was Stephen D. and what a help he was. This was by far the best car buying experience EVER! Which really says a lot. He flat out set out the goal which was to give me the best buying experience possible and make sure we left high fiving each other. Which is exactly what we did!
I was upside down (way upside down) but our credit had improved and we were eager to lower our payments and grab a better interest rate. Stephen was able to problem solve and create a plan that would make it all happen. Instead of a used Mini he got us into a new Mini and surpassed our expectations.
Funny enough we test drove on a rainy day then we picked up our car on the day that Austin had tornadic action and flooding. Yikes!
They had our car pulled inside the building us, basically on display… that was pretty special!
When it came time for us to leave, they opened the big doors and we drove out!
Their product specialist Brad G. was so thorough and you couldn’t tell he probably does this numerous times in a day with that big smile he had, and answering any questions I had with ease. Thank you for that!
Finance manager was also a cool guy who made the process easy. Everything was just simple and easy!
I am so impressed by the service provided that I think they have made a mini ‘lifer’ out of me. Never thought I would say that or become loyal to a car company… but here it is. Well done, sirs, you ALL rocked it out and I am going to sing your praises!!!

I really like the service at Mini of Austin. Everyone is very helpful, and the wait is never longer than expected. (This is completely different than my SUV that I take to Covert Buick — ugh.) They have coffee and soft drinks available, with plenty of comfortable chairs. Wi-​fi is free. During the day, you won’t find much to watch on TV (this is true whether at Mini of Austin or at home) but they try. It’s also fun to look at their inventory!
When I checked in at Mini of Austin, there was a gift available (reusable bag) by showing the receptionist. I showed her, and she had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. But she found someone that knew! And I now have another bag to use for my groceries.

First and foremost it was welcoming, low pressure and friendly. I worked mainly with Damon (first via email as I was out of town and then in person) although Brad and Mark were equally excellent in their skills of explaining financial options and/​or the many features my new Cooper had in store for me. Couldn’t have been happier with their attention to detail and know this is the beginning of a great relationship.

I wrote a 1 Star accurate review of mini of Austin experience I had below and received a phone call afterwards from management. I let the call go to voicemail while I pulled over on the side of the road so I could call them back and record the conversation. Mini of Austin knew they screwed up and wanted to get me to change my review so they told me that if I updated my review to a positive review I would be rewarded. Yes this is all caught on my phones recorder.
To see what would happen I agreed to update the original review and them wait to see what happened. As I thought, nothing did happen. After getting the more positive review I never heard from them again.
The management of this place is a joke and it start at the very top. It is a shame because I’m sure there are a few people there that just want to go to work and do a good job.

The BEST car buying experience ever! No pushy salesmen, no price haggling. It was quick, honest, and an experience that I would recommend any car buyer to experience. LOVE DRIVING MY MINI!!!

Despite the good facilities –that got the star for them– service desk person LIED HIS ASS OFF to me.
I had scheduled the service over the phone so they knew exactly what to do and expect the «professionals» to be able to provide accurate timelines. I was told 1 – 1,5 hrs wait.
When I was checking in, they told me 1,5−2 insted of the 1 – 1,5 they mentioned before and the technichian that they designated was not there.
It now has been 3 hours and still not done and no one bothered to inform me of the delay + none of the questions I listed have been addresses because the service desk person obviously forgot to write them on the service ticket.
Real professionals huh (!)

After posting a one star review, I received a call inquiring about my experience. Kudos to Mini of Austin following up on a negative customer experience, hence one more star for the follow up.

How long does it take mini of Austin to change a lightbulb? …
Over 2 hours after a scheduled appointment time. Their parts department saved them by having a lightbulb available and me doing it myself in less than a minute. My mini did need a service too but I will take somewhere else because if a lightbulb takes that long a service would take weeks.
If Mini of Austin had a good service department more people would buy minis. You are letting down the brand and your sales.

My wife and I visited Mini of Austin after looking at used cars online. At the time our IS300 which I adored, sometimes a bit too much, was just not cutting it as a long distance driver/​reliability issues. At a decade plus old we decided to have a look around.
We arrived at Mini of Austin and within moments were greeted in the usual dealer fashion no more than a minute after arriving. This is where Mini of Austin went from a just another hungry dealer, to a place my wife and I truly felt at home.
Our motoring advisor, was nothing short of amazing. ZERO pressure, no fast talking, just listening to what WE wanted. Sounds good so far right? It gets better.
After looking around the lot and taking a test drive (all hassle free) my usual and troublesome need to get best kicked in. Our motoring advisor seemed to catch this change in attitude and gave us advice quickly on why we really should just stick to a particular conservative model we had been looking at.
Coming from someone who works tirelessly to support his family, wife, and future I was amazed that though it’s Mini of Austin’s JOB to sell me a car, they put these things aside and ensure you are really making a clear decision not only in a car and options on it but as a future investment you can actually afford.
As a car, we couldn’t be happier. We now have a perfect solution to taking road trips with gas mileage part of this decade, and 20 bucks to fill the tank! Not to mention options, lights, sound system, and engine all part of this decade.
We seriously couldn’t be happier with the experience, and our new vehicle. Go by and give Mini as a dealer and a brand a try. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve visited this location many times, most of the times I make appointments. I find it hard to believe that someone has had a 1star experience…
Entire staff is so attentive, very courteous and polite. The waiting area is stocked with cookies, Starbucks and other refreshments. Restrooms are very clean too. People who complain about prices of the labor, parts etc — go to GM and be treated like a nobody… you get what you paid for.
Mini of Austin keep up a great work!!! You definitely have my business.

Just purchased our second MINI the Countryman and we love it. The Sport model has nice pick up and the cargo area does a nice job of handling our weekend shopping trips. The sales process was smooth and fast. In and out in less than 30 minutes. Even better the process was «No Nonsense»
Jim, the general manager is a joy to work with. We stopped in recently to re sign a document and he greeted us with a warm smile and a handshake.
We also have a BMW from next door and the service is off the charts from both groups.
I would recommend MINI of Austin to my friends and family.

I recently purchased my new MINI in December and had an awesome experience. The salesman, product genius and even the finance manager were very friendly and answered all of my off the wall questions and we’re patient while I was making my final decision. I highly recommend this place for your next vehicle purchase!
When I went in to the service department to get my license plates, the service writer and everyone there were real friendly. Made the «chore» almost enjoyable.

My recent experience at Mini of Austin was exceptional, not only in quality service for my delightful Cooper Hardtop, but also for the above-​and-​beyond customer care. This is a brand that, above all, privileges authenticity and uniqueness – qualities embodied in all personnel at this Mini location. Though no one is ever enthusiastic about doling out for here-​and-​there maintenance, this incredible staff reminds you that a car is every bit about experience as it is functionality. Serious thumbs up to this crew. Truly as good as it gets.

My husband and I recently experienced a bit of an ordeal. Long story short, we brought our Countryman in to MINI of Austin for service – to get a tire replaced – and found in the evening, after we picked it up, mere minutes before the dealership closed, that our garage door opener was missing. (We also had our visors replaced due to a recall issue.) Without our garage door opener, we were unable to get into our house. We also couldn’t just stay the night somewhere else, as we have dogs.
The woman at reception (I apologize for not remembering her name) was kind and extremely helpful, even though we kept her at work past closing. She called the service manager, who called our service advisor, Scott Snyder, who came all the way from his home to search for our garage door opener amongst the recalled parts. He found it, thankfully, and we were able to get in to our house (and let our dogs out).
Scott and the receptionist went above and beyond to help us out, and we couldn’t be more appreciative. The service performed on our vehicle (minus the garage door opener going missing) was top-​notch, too.
To sum up: MINI of Austin is staffed by great people who provide great service.

I bought my first Mini Hardtop! Mark McDaniel is the man! He has worked with me for a long time! Mark is very dedicated to helping his clients get the Mini they want. The entire dealership employees are here to help! I have loved my whole experience!
Brad gave me ALL the in’s about my Mini. I couldn’t believe how many extras there are!!! The Mini Board computer was awesome… Brad said I’d be overwhelmed and should I forget something i could call him anytime to refresh my memory.
Jason… the Mini manager did a great job too! He located the Mini that had the price good for me!
I love my Mini!!!
