I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years. Its quick, its easy and seems to last longer than waxing. I moved to Austin from NYC, where the threading salons are in abundance and it can cost as low as $ 6 or $ 7 per visit. In Austin, its $ 15-​$ 20 and you never know what your eyebrows are going to look like when you’re done. I just wasn’t finding a place that was reliable OR that wouldn’t take too much hair from my brows, making them super thin.
So, in desperation I started looking up waxing services. I already knew it was going to be a shot in the dark for me, but I headed over to trusty Unilocal to read some reviews. Moore Couture had raving reviews and its not too far from home, so I decided to give it a try.
First of all, I easily made an appointment online for the next day. I showed up to the boutique and I went right into the chair. Andrea listened to my threading sob stories for a minute but then soon got to work. She actually uses a stick to measure from the brow to different points along the eye and lightly pencils in where she wants to remove hair. She was able to shape my brows so nicely AND still leave them full just the way I like. After all of that, she’s totally nice and sweet, which is a bonus to the whole experience.
I returned 3 weeks later for another appointment– 3 WEEKS! Unheard of with me and waxing lol As long as I’m in Austin and needing my eyebrows done, I will return to Moore Couture… for sure :)

Andrea is the best! I moved to Austin from NYC a year ago and tried out a plethora of waxing and threading salons before discovering Andrea. No one is as consistent or talented. I prefer a fuller brow and she taught me how to fill in parts that were a little more sparse to hold me over between appointments. Everyone compliments me on my brows. I’m now a loyal customer! Make an appointment online or walk in — I never have to wait more than 15 minutes even if a few people are ahead of me.

This tiny boutique tucked around the corner from Gemma’s is such a delight! Jacqueline mixes her spray tans for your skin tone perfectly and is so fun and easy to talk to in what would otherwise be kind of an awkward situation!

I have been using Evelyn for my brows for a couple of years. When she moved to Moore Couture I, of course, followed her! She is the absolute BEST! I highly recommend her for anyone wanting an affordable, expert brow specialist. She listens to what I want and I always leave happy.

This place is everything and more! Andrea is hands down the best eyebrow expert in the area. She takes her time and makes sure you leave there looking and feeling flawless. Andrea is hands down an eyebrow expert. She’s been waxing my brows for about four years now and she’s the only person I trust to go near my eyebrows (never ever making the mistake of getting them done at a nail salon again). Every time I come into the boutique I feel welcomed and I always enjoy chatting with Andrea while she does my brows, she’s super outgoing and down to earth — which just makes the whole experience that much better! Since the opening of Moore Couture, I’ve brought many of my friends with me to experience Andrea’s magic and they have all been extremely impressed and happy with their brows.
The boutique itself is super quaint and fun, it definitely has tons of girly vibes but also maintains that funky Austin feel with many bohemian pieces. I always enjoy wandering around the store before or after my brow wax, admiring all the cute clothes and accessories.
Not to mention, the store often has specials and participates in fun events such as «Sip n Shop» and First Thursday where they have snacks and wine to enjoy (Woohoo for wine!) while also offering discounted beauty services.
Since opening, the boutique has also started offering many other services other than waxing, which I of course have had to try out! I’ve gotten a few spray tans from Jacqueline now, who does by appointment only airbrush tanning. Jacqueline gave me my first spray tan ever and since then I have been obsessed, I wish I could afford to get them every week (boo for being a poor college student). She does a great job at making you feel comfortable (considering the fact that you are standing in front of her naked, if you choose to be, which I obviously do, because hellooo, don’t you want your whole body to look like you’re a tan goddess?) Anyway, point is, Jacqueline is great and I highly recommend you treat yourself to one of her airbrush tans because it’s soooo worth it.
Visit Moore Couture. Let Andrea pamper your brows. Get a spray tan from Jacqueline. Treat yo self, you’ll be so happy you did.

I have been getting me eyebrows done with Andrea, the owner of the store, since they opened. I live in the South Lamar area so this place is really convenient for me! I always get compliments on my eyebrows and I have never been happier with how they are shaped!
I recently tried their eyelash extension service and was very impressed! I It is my first time ever getting them so I was a little bit apprehensive but now I don’t know how I will love without them! I love waking up looking like I already have makeup on its amazing!

Prior to being referred to Andrea here at Moore Couture, I had never been able to get my brows to look even & arch in the right place. After just two appointments with Andrea, my brows look AMAZING! She is very reasonably-​priced, personable, & professional. She measures the angles of your brows to ensure the arch appears in the proper positioning. I have referred four of my coworkers to Andrea, all of whom also love her work! I highly recommend Moore Couture to anyone looking to better their brows!

I have been getting my eye brows done by Evelyn for 2 years now. She is seriously AMAZING at her craft! She takes time with your brows and treats them like a canvas and she is definitely an artist. If you have THICK EYEBROWS you know how frustrating it can be when people just thin them even when you tell them to keep them thick. She is a pro at thick eyebrows because she has beautiful ones herself :) She even draws around your eyebrows to give you the perfect shape. I tried trading with girls at my old work and I ended up going back to Evelyn, no one does them like her. The boutique that she works out of is really cute too and the owners are really sweet! The clothes are beautiful and affordable and the jewelry I’m in love with it. Check it all out!

I actually know these girls personally and can say with confidence that they are the only women I let near my eyebrows! In all seriousness tho, the owners are awesome and tremendously helpful. They have all the hip n trendy clothes and accessories before they are hip n trendy. I frequent there sip’n shops on Thursdays, the free wine and discounts will keep me coming back for forever!
