I have gone to Kelly for a while now! She is great but I could find better. She is super easy to talk to and really listens to what I want. I would recommend her to anyone that wants to have blonder hair. She isn’t as good at doing dark. But as I mentioned, I’ve gone to her for a while because she is generally pretty consistent and if I don’t like it, she will fix it for me with no complaints. Price for glossing was $ 50. I also go to Brooke for keratin bonded extensions and I love them so much so far. They are pretty pricey but they are super easy to maintain. Brooke is accessible over text, call, and email so it is pretty easy to get in touch with her! Sometimes she doesn’t respond so you may need to nag her!

Brooke Beaty is amazing with color/highlights or low lights/hair extensions… I am picky about my hair and have been going to Brooke for years and always love the results!

N Salon is the best salon in Austin. The N experience starts with the receptionists who are always warm and inviting. And the best part of N for me — Dustin Nix is the most wonderful stylist I have ever had to work on my thick hair, not to mention fun and fabulous. He is an excellent cutter and colorist. Just sit in the chair and let him do his magic. The salon has an industrial feel, which perhaps could seem sterile, but here it is urban chic.

This salon is very cute. The atmosphere is fun and exciting. Lots of people watching and great hair being created by the minute. Can’t say enough about Lisa! What a darling personality and just a joy to get to know. She is so welcoming and friendly. As I understand it she has been doing hair in Austin for over 25 years! The work she does is superb. Definitely recommend this place! Go see Lisa(if you get in to her, that is)

I haven’t even been to this salon and after that customer service, I don’t know if I ever want to. I called N salon today to inquire about extensions with a stylist who does Great Lengths there, Nicole. My sister in law had worked with her before and had her extensions done and loved them. I’ve had a consultation before, so I know how many strands I need and what length. I was just looking for some vague pricing because I’ve been priced some exorbitant sums from other salons in the area. Whoever the receptionist is; you are rude, condescending, and it is NOT appreciated. I am not a moron, and you do not need to talk down to me. I asked you three times for the stylist’s number or email so I could contact her, not listen to you lecture me. You don’t need to tell me that«you’re trying to help me» while interrupting my every word. You’re not helping me sweetie– you’re being rude. Customer service is your job. Get with it. Sucks for Nicole, because she may have lost my business before she ever had a chance thanks to that horrible customer service.

Brenna at N Salon is wonderful. From the lovely washing massage to the very cute haircut, the whole experience was one that will certainly bring me back. I don’t have a set haircut style other than«shorter than now» that I consistently keep up with and so I let Brenna do what she thought was best. She knows how to frame it to compliment the shape of my face, and she put all these fun products in that made it super bouncy and cute! I highly recommend Brenna!

N Salon is awesome! I’ve been going to Niki Hayes, the owner, for a couple of years now. I adore her. She introduced me to the Baliage technique of highlighting my blonde hair, and it always looks fantastic and very natural for being as blonde as I am. The entire staff is friendly, the salon is beautiful and welcoming without the stuffy vibe you find at many salons, and Niki is always willing to do what it takes to keep her clients happy. Highly recommend!

I have been going to Brooke at N Salon since she started there, but truthfully, I’ve been with her for years before that. I don’t think I’ll ever stray — unless she moves out of Austin, in which case I might even find her quarterly to get my hair done. She’s that good. I have thick, semi– curly, semi straight, semi-frizzy(basically the WORST) hair and Brooke has been with me from natural color, to high and low lights and even some red tints. She’s seen me through short and long styles, and the awkward times in between. She will not let you do a cut that you want because«all the stars do it,» if it won’t work with your hair type(believe me, I’ve tried). She’s straight forward and honest and knows her stuff. Perhaps the best thing I can say about her is that random people actually stop me in public to compliment my hair. I’m not making this up! I cannot say enough great things about Brooke at N Salon. Go there, request Brooke. Your hair may never be the same — in a good way!

i am weary to praise any hairdresser because it only takes that one time for you to walk out wondering how long its going to take you to grow the hair back because they OVERCUT or didn’t listen to you. I have chemically straightened my hair for 8 + years and no one is as good as Lianne. I have seen Lianne for a little over 2 years for straightening, cuts and color. She ALWAYS makes me feel like a million bucks. As a busy working mom, thats so greatly appreciated to find someone who is worth your time and money. I would recommend Lianne to anyone!

Inconspicuously located near Lamar and 35th — N Salon is equally cool and great at the same time. From scheduling to the free drinks it feels less stuffy than other salons. Brooke always does a brilliant job of a) convincing me I’m not going gray as fast as I think, and b) undoing the months of damage I inflict to my hair. What more could you ask for?

I will admit — I’m not the best about getting my hair done regularly, or in a timely manner. This isn’t because I don’t love N Salon, however, because I do, ever so much. I’m just not a very girly girl and don’t treat myself as often as I should. That said, Dustin Nix is my jam. He always makes me feel like the girly girl that I don’t let myself be all the time. His dye jobs are impeccable, and he’s always up for whatever craziness I have in mind(like shaving the side of my head last time I was in), or just giving my mane a little trim. He’s always super fun and friendly and I look forward to not only getting a rad cut and dye, but also seeing his wonderful face and gossiping. The salon is super beautiful as well with a really lovely staff. Unpretentious, but hip, and I love that all different types of customers are always in there. I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else.

I have to say everyone at N Salon is friendly and I’ve never had bad or even mediocre service there. I do have to say that Angie is the best! If you want EXCELLENT color and an EXCELLENT cut, go to her. I just can’t say enough good things about her!

I FINALLY found an Austin salon that is posh, yet reasonably priced! Melanie is awesome! Fun personality and always spot-on with what I ask her to do. If you’re looking for a nice salon with good prices… check out N Salon!

I looked online for a salon that sold Keratase products and found N Salon. It was around lunch time when we walked in and it was really busy After being asked to wait I went over to the shelves to look at the product, found a large bottle of shampoo which was marked at $ 35. I’m very excited about the price and go to pay for it. She tells me it’s $ 37 with tax, and then tries to ring it up. It does want to ring up at that price, she calls her manager, they crunch some numbers(no communication with me) and then she runs my card and presents me with a ticket for $ 59. I’m like«you said it was $ 37» and she said no, that the price was wrong and that they were $ 55 plus tax. Not only did they not honor the marked price, neither the cashier nor the manager told me that it would be $ 20 more — they simply rang my card. No Bueno. She blithy asks if I still want it, and I said no, on principle. Not a very pleasant experience, no apology, and I wont be going back.

Nikki is the bee’s knee’s! I love this place… funky décor, impeccable service, and bad-ass stylists. I’ve never had to wait too long when I have an appointment, and every stylist I’ve ever used has been great. I wouldn’t call the price point a «bargain» necessarily, but you get what you pay for and when it comes to hair, it’s worth every penny!

Lianne rocks! She is really REALLY good with color; I always leave with the perfect shade of blonde. Any blonde will tell you, it’s hard to find someone who can get it just right… well Lianne does! Big thumbs up!

Brooke ALWAYS exceeds my expectations when coloring and cutting my hair. It always feels light-weight, the color is always vibrant, and I constantly get compliments(mostly from strangers). Everyone I have referred to Brooke always goes back, including my old roommate who travels from out of state, and even my boyfriend! Once you go Brooke you never go back!

Brooke at N Salon is incredible. I have naturally red hair, and it’s hard to mess with the color and get it «just right,» but Brooke always manages to do so. I love her highlight technique, which she does without using foil and making you look like a space alien while you process. She also uses toners, treatments and color to get a multi-tonal, sunkissed look without looking unnatural and too«done.» When the color’s all said and done, her supermodel blowout is as good as it gets. All I can say is when I leave Brooke, I look goooood. :)

N Salon doesn’t feel stuffy and stuck up the way most(near) downtown salons do. Despite its cool, industrial interior, the staff are the warmest, most welcoming of nearly any salon I’ve been to. The person at the front desk always greets me warmly and asks if he/she can get me anything to drink. When I arrive early, I feel very comforable hanging out on their comfy leather sofa and reading one of their many magazines until it’s my appointment time. On top of that, my stylist, Dustin Nix, is amazing. He’s been with me through blonde, brown with blonde highlights, red(ish), super dark brown, then back to my original hair color again(light brown). He has always been honest with me when I ask if a hair style would suit me(«No, straight across bangs would not look so great on you. What about long, side swept bangs instead?») and I would trust him with my hair any day! I would definitely suggest giving N Salon a try if you’re looking to match up with your life-long stylist!
