It’s interesting that many people believe that counseling is just talk, subjective discourse, or the pointless discussion of feelings. Not so. Nate did an amazing job of providing insight, personal reflection, and perspective. He did such an amazing job, that our visits were very few. He was concise and straightforward, providing actionable strategies to manage relationships. Thoroughly recommended, for anyone who could use some perspective.

Nate counseled my husband and me many years ago for marital problems. During that time, my husband and I got a long well enough. However, don’t assume that counseling can make a great relationship between any two people. It can’t. Sometimes the best advice is to part ways. After a year of counseling, it came down to that. And Nate had the guts to say it. We got divorced — which was a very good thing. Nate continued to see me through the divorce which made it tolerable. In fact, it made the divorce a positive and welcome life-​changing experience filled with personal growth. He helped me understand why my husband was a poor choice for me, and how to make a better choice in the future. I’m now in a very happy, healthy relationship!
Nate is more like a shaman to me than a therapist. I always learn something amazing or enlightening from him at every visit. I especially like the enneagram approach he brings to counseling. I’ve been to a lot of counselors — and every other one would have gotten 1 star. Nate’s the only one I’ve been to who I’d ever recommend or see again myself.

My husband and I have seen Nate for the past year for marital issues that were tearing us apart. Nate has been very supportive and caring with our issues. He goes above and beyond what is expected as a therapist and has helped us tremendously! We both would recommend Nate without hesitation.

His caring, highly effective counseling has helped me find answers for charting a new, healthy course in my relationship, as well as connecting more deeply with myself, others, and the life I want to lead. I highly recommend Nate’s safe, compassionate environment for healing and growth and for the empowerment tools he provides to address life’s challenges.

Couples therapy didn’t go so well, One meeting w/​girlfriend and I, one by myself and another with my girlfriend by herself. Nate bailed on us, we needed some direction and he gave it, another therapist. For a total bill of $ 230.00 the last $ 65 of which was needed to tell my girlfriend we needed to see someone else. We didn’t need a miracle worker Nate. How about a little value for my money, I feel duped and disappointed. Two stars.
