Omega offers new and used broadcast video equipment sales, rentals and support. Our sales and rental inventory encompasses a wide variety of the latest in broadcast video, lighting, grip and audio equipment. Video production, editing, duplication and format conversion are a few of the services we provide. Our onsite 4,000 sqft greenscreen studio space is now available to rent for your next production. We are authorized dealers for Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Apple and other professional manufacturers. We offer support after the sale including an in-​house Sony certified repair technician. Our local customer base includes: AT&T Labs, KXAN, LBJ Library, and Austin City Limits.

History

Established in 1986.

Omega Broadcast Group was founded in 1986 by David and Pam Fry as a duplication services business in their own garage. With integrity and attention to detail the business quickly grew and they began selling used video equipment in a small office on Gregg Lane but they quickly again began to run out of space. As serendipity would have it, the opportunity arose to purchase the old Pflugerville Airport on Howard Lane and the Fry’s seized the opportunity and watched their business grow exponentially. Including the remodeling of a 40×40 Green Screen Studio, several high end edit suites and showroom that includes all the latest and greatest broadcast video products.

In 1986, though, after 10 years of working in the restaurant business and a stint running the audio and visuals for a publishing firm, David and Pam Fry jumped at the opportunity to spin off his growing clientele into their own company.

Working out of their home, David Fry and his wife, Pam, really started learning the ins and outs of the business when they formed Omega Broadcast Group LP, which offers everything from equipment to video production, editing and duplication services.

But, David and Pam Fry say Omega isn’t simply an equipment supplier. In addition to production work for Dell, Willie Nelson and Austin City Limits, Omega offers technical support, service and free seminars on various technologies.
