I asked Diane if she could help me organize my small, poorly conceived kitchen. As I showed her around, I remember telling her that I knew there wouldn’t be much she could do without a complete renovation. Was I ever wrong.
While I worked in my office, she spent hours emptying every cupboard and drawer and putting items in piles. Then she had me come out to review and discuss what had to be kept and what could be discarded. Her experience as a professional chef came in handy as she helped me gauge the efficacy of the pots, pans, and knives I own. When she was done, I felt like I had a new kitchen, and six months later, it is still orderly and functional. Every meal gets made faster because we know exactly where everything is. She respected my time, my space, and my sentimental objects. I can’t wait to hire her again.

Diane came over with an amazing disposition and we went through boxes that I hadn’t looked at since two moves ago. She prompted me on whether to keep/​donate or recycle/​toss. She took the books I no longer needed to Half-​Priced Books and took the clothes to Goodwill. What looked like an impossible and overwhelming project was complete in two short visits, and all at an affordable price. I couldn’t have done this without the help. I intend on using her for an upcoming move, we’ll do this exercise with my entire house contents before we pack and she promised to help me unpack with memory of where they initially where! It’s like having another me around!
