This place is an absolute rip off. I’ve been there a couple of times trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but $ 48 for a terribly done gel manicure is absurd. The quality is awful as its either bulky or they miss part of your nail and will it will chip off in a week. Everyone that works there is nice and will get you in quickly but unless they drop their price to something reasonable or vastly increase their quality i’d recommend going elsewhere.

Came here once before and had a decent experience, but my second visit was pretty disappointing. Got a pedi and gel mani this time, and felt hugely overcharged for what I actually got. The pedi involved a massage that felt like someone was just barely rubbing my feet. The mani involved an extremely long (and painful!!) removal of my previous polish and cuticles, followed by an approximately 30 second massage of each of my hands.
The result was mediocre. Both toe and fingernails were streaky and my gel mani shipped within the first week.
Will stick with my previous salon, which does a better job at about half the price.

Sorry, but you can’t charge $ 50 do a gel manicure where everywhere else you can get a pedi with it for the same price. I liked the old management before with Cindy and her staff. I had to move on… Sorry guys. The inside looks great.

First off, I was so excited to find a nail salon downtown near my office but like so many others have said this place is mediocre for what you pay. My nail technician was in a huge hurry even though I was her only costumer. She commented on how short my nails were multiple times and accused me of biting my nails! Then insisted that I get a shellac manicure even after I said no. Do yourself a favor and spend $ 10 more dollars to get a manicure at Nava!

I gave this place another shot after a mediocre first experience. Wow, this place is truly the worst. My nails looked better when I came in than when I left. It got to the point where I was literally using the polish to paint my own nails because she did such a bad job. This is after she told me she didn’t like my color.
Also, $ 14 for a polish change?! Unreal.
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I was a regular at this salon when it was Cindy’s … mostly because it’s hard to find a place in Austin where you don’t have to call and book days ahead or that doesn’t do acrylics (and doesn’t smell like it). And what was an ok place is now not even that. At the now «phantastic nails,» I paid $ 70 for a basic mani/​pedi and when I left the salon and got in the sunlight, noticed that my light-​colored nail polish was really only in the center of my nails. I wasn’t asked whether I wanted my nails squared or rounded, or shortened at all and I took that as just a language barrier between myself and the owner. But the nail polish actually covering the entire nail? That’s just kind of basic. Won’t be coming back after about 7 years of coming here.

Much like Kelly R, I paid $ 110 + for a mani/​pedi for a completely mediocre job — total time was 70 minutes!!! I can not believe they charged $ 28 for the shellac in addition to the cost of the mani. I could have bought the bottle set for that price. Weird atmosphere, they were not gentle at all. Never again.

My wife and I come here all the time. Today we had Mai and Maura. Both were professional, courteous, and give great pedis. This is a place we can walk in with very little lead time and the ladies always make us feel welcome with a glass of wine. Doing this job is tough work and one that demands respect. Although, the place is going through a transitional phase after changing hands, this is our go to place.

Worst experience ever. First the women were not nice. One of them seemed friendly and the rest were rude and clearly discussing the patrons. Second, the manicure was one of the worst I have ever had. I had to spend 30 minutes removing polish from my skin after I got home. Last, their prices are outrageous and they are not upfront about them. They charge $ 28 for shellac IN ADDITION to the regular price. This is crazy and they should absolutely tell you this before they do it, as it’s not written anywhere. I hate leaving a review like this, but I paid $ 111 for a mani/​pedi today when I requested the express for both. I will not stray from my normal nail place ever again. I do not recommend going here at all until they can be friendly with good nail techs and honest.

Awful. The lady was in such a hurry. My nails were shaped horribly and not symmetrical. Down way too far in the corners and they hurt. I had long, pretty nails and now I’m going to have to cut them off!!! She put the top coat on too early and my nails will never dry. Already ruined. Heads up, they charged my friend 111 dollars for gel mani and pedi. Mine was 60 for mani and pedi. Don’t go!
PS.- They used a different color polish than what I had chosen. I know this because it’s the color I had been wearing for a month. They were hiding the bottle from me. Really!!!
