WOW i wish i could have kept my original review up but whatever you do do not waste your money here!!! you are legit better off at claire’s if you re getting ear piercings
i got two outter rim piercings on my ear. and both of them fell out with in the same month which is very alarming cause you have to keep jewelry in for the first 6 weeks before you change it. 1. they cant out it in for you 2. they are going to charge you 21 $ for a new earring (clearly cost them about $ 2) when its their fault they didn’t put the earring in securely. i went for the Sunday special for 415 a piercing and have been charged more than that for them to simply fix what they did wrong. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! they are rude, and unprofessional. I have my tregius pierced from another place and i haven’t had my earring fall out in over 5 years. that’s what you call professional service.

My experience was not at all what I expected. When they called my name to get my piercing, I felt very rushed; the piercer was not helpful when I was trying to decide which piece of jewelry to pierce with (He ended using the wrong jewelry and when I found out, it was too late to fix it). When the piercer was finished, he wasn’t even going to give me an after-​care paper to know how to clean my piercing, I had to ask. He wasn’t informative at all and the whole experience was unfriendly.

Drew was so awesome! He was kind and efficient with our daughter and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The atmosphere was cool and I’d recommend this place to everyone who wants to get pierced (especially your kids). Thanks!

BRING A BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND PHOTO ID FOR YOUR CHILD. I called to ask details about my daughter getting her ears pierced, and NO one mentioned this to me on the phone. I realized later that there is an auto prompt for «ID requirements», but I never pressed it naively thinking «who would need an ID from a 9 year old?!!». So we had to drive home to get it. They needed proof that she was indeed my child.
But once we were in the que, our experience was only positive. The place is clean. All the equipment is sterile. Darren, who pierced my daughter’s ears, was very kind. He pierced her ears super quick as well. She didn’t cry at all. I will be taking my younger two daughters here as well.
We went on Sunday because they have a piercing special ($ 30 for both ears). So we did have to wait longer. But it was worth it to me to save $ 20!

I love my new tattoo! My first one, and If I decide to get another one, I will come back. James was very proffessional, and did a beautiful job.

I went in to get my cartilage pierced around four months ago by Darren. It has been healing beautifully, the process was quick and painless, Darren drew my away from the pin with a joke which was incredibly sweet. Amazing piercer, will definitely request him next time.

Got a couple of piercings done with a few friends and Kenny who’s a piercer there did a fantastic job! If you decide to get a piercing go see Kenny. He’s awesome and explains everything that he does. The shop is nice and well kept.

After reading an article recommending ear piercing at a tattoo shop as opposed to Claire’s etc, we decided to go that route. We had a hard time finding a place that would do ear piercing for little girls. I’m so glad we found this place. Darren was great with our 6 year old. Everyone working there is very friendly and kind. I felt very comfortable having my child there. We will definitely be back for our other daughter when she is ready (and probably for myself too.)

I went in with some friends to get piercings yesterday, and we were very happy with the experience.
When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by Darren who quickly checked us in and began to get set up. There were four of us, and he pierced all of us in under ten minutes. He was extremely clean, professional, and friendly. I couldn’t be happier with the quality of his work.

So, I got my industrial piercing done here back in February. Initial impression of this shop was definitely not the best. I was not given a run down of the procedure nor given any aftercare instructions at all, and I was the only customer in the shop, so there was no excuse to rush me out without doing these things.
6 months later, and I’ve developed fairly horrible looking keloids at both entry sites of the industrial. I have had previous piercings, so I know to do the warm salt water routine for cleansing, even tried tea tree oil to help with the bumps that have grown. Nothing has been working, so I’ve sought opinions from several other shops in the area. Both Atomic Tattoo and Shaman Mods (both reputable shops) have taken a look at my industrial and the conclusion is that it was placed incorrectly with the bar pushing against my ear unnaturally, hence the outcome of it never healing correctly and keloid development.
I’m extremely disappointed in the work done here and will look elsewhere for my future piercing needs.

The first time I came to Platinum Ink was in early 2015. I was looking to purchase a simple septum ring to replace my retainer and was happy that they were willing to help me switch it out for a small fee. My septum was newly healed and they were helpful with the questions I had.
Tonight I decided to take advantage of their Sunday piercing prices and went in to get my third holes re-​pierced on my earlobes. It was surprisingly busy at 10pm however I was seen very quickly. Darren has a great personality and was very fast with the piercing process. Everything came out evenly and painless — I have an uneven earlobe and I was concerned it would come out crooked like the first time around in the past with my third holes but it came out perfectly. I will definitely be back to get more work done on my ears!

So I’ve had multiple piercings done here and over all, I can say 2 stars is probably the most they can get from me.
I’ll start by bringing up their customer service, I called several hours in advance about an ID issue and who ever I talked to was an absolute dick. Wouldn’t even use complete sentences like I was a waste of time and breath. When we actually arrived the two tattoo artists on duty were not any better and stood propped up against the reception desk determined to reject every piercing idea I had and with an attitude of being «gods» and we were just peasants.
Going to the actual shop I can honestly say this place is the «fast food» of body shops. And just as everyone says you get what you pay for. Parking is a nightmare (especially on Sunday’s). But the shop seemed clean and well put together.
Piercing wise eh. Darren has done all of mine. He put my tongue ring in a special spot for me and it’s healing well. But the real problem I have is with my nipple rings. On one side he pierced crooked and too far back but they healed fine and everything. THEY HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH RUSHING. For someone that’s never had body piercings outside of my ears, it’s a little concerning when they just jam a needle in no warning and then pat you on the back, give you a sheet on care, and push you out the door. And calling later you can only pray you don’t get Dick 1 or Dick 2.
Will I go back? Yea it’s cheap but I would never get a tattoo here.
Would I suggest? If you want fast, cheap, and «I’m above you» employees then by means go!

This visit was such a bad idea. Came in here for the Sunday piercing deal an turns out you get what you pay for. Cheap nipple piercings are never a good idea. I did a better job in my room by myself than this guy did in the shop. He barely used any prep/​sterilization processes and my piercing is completely crooked both horizontally and in depth. The first ring I was given was too tight so I had to go back to get a larger one. It was fast I give him that but there was no convo. He didn’t even let me look at the markings for placement before hand and didn’t use tongs. When I asked for ice I was almost laughed at an he failed to give us any info on how to keep it clean and healthy after we asked we got «just keep it clean». I’m sticking to True Blue for now on.

I’m from San Antonio and was recommended by a friend, so I decided to get a tragus piercing done on a Sunday while I was in town. Environment was so clean! The guys at the desk were helpful. I didn’t wait long (maybe 5 mins?). The piercer, Darren, made me feel extremely comfortable and the whole thing was very quick! I’ve heard horror stories of tragus piercings — not here! It was quick, not painful at all, and he gave clear care instructions. I would definitely recommend this place!
Ps. Sunday specials are great, too!

I went yesterday afternoon to get the second hole on my ear lobe pierced. I was extremely satisfied with their services!
I have tried getting my ears pierced two other times at Clair’s but each time my ears were very sensitive and hurt for weeks after getting them pierced.
My ears today don’t hurt at all! I bumped one while getting dressed and it stung a little bit but it only lasted for maybe a minute or two. I will never go anywhere else but platinum for all my piercing desires!

I came in for a finger tattoo with a picture reference. I was told ‘Matt’ was the best at finger tattoos. For $ 80 for a ½″ tattoo, I certainly didn’t expect the lines to be messy, the shading to be somewhat horrible, and the shape to be TOTALLY off. The piece is lopsided and isn’t correctly proportioned. Now, I will be going to a DIFFERENT studio to get my new piece fixed because it wasn’t done correctly the first time. For $ 80 (this tattoo is super tiny), I expected it to be near perfect. I will not return and I will not recommend this place to anyone.
**I am not new to this. I have a full sleeve and my back is covered. I expected better.

I highly recommend Platinum Ink. We’re always greated as soon as we come in the door, hardly ever a wait time for piercings and just a great, friendly place with very affordable prices! I’ve had a couple piercings done here by Darren. He’s awesome! Fast, painless and gentle. I plan to get a couple more and if I ever get brave enough, maybe a dermal or two. lol
Matt Wood is wonderful! In June he covered up an awful tattoo I had for many years with a beautiful stargazer lily. Of course i was hooked and came back later on for an awesome dragonfly tattoo on my arm. Then in September Matt tattooed a gorgeous butterfly with another stargazer lily. I’m now planning a half sleeve for next year with Matt. Matt is a wonderful, talented artist!
Everyone at Platinum Ink is so friendly, helpful and talented! If you want an awesome tattoo or piercing this is the place to go!

Went in to get my navel pierced today. Darren did a fantastic job. Quick, clean, (slightly) painless, it’s nice and even and looks lovely. I doubt the healing process will be excessive. I bought a very inexpensive piece of jewelry I really liked and can’t wait to try it out. I’ll definitely go back and have them change it out! The guys at the shop were friendly and knowledgable as always, and I can’t wait to go back.

I was looking for a nice studio to get my second round of piercings on my ear, and a friend of mine recommended Platinum Ink’s sunday pierce deal for me and what great experience she had at this place!
Knowing that it will be inevitably crowded on sunday (Private parking lot was packed, but there’s a big parking area for a nearby plaza), I walked in expecting a long wait. I was genuinely surprised how quick the staff were at greeting and informing me about basically everything about the whole deal. After a brief wait, a staff calls you to the station.
Got 2 lobes and 1 inner conch pierced all quick and painless by Darren who was very amiable. He checked the spot I wanted beforehand, readily answered all questions you might have, and didn’t forget to give aftercare directions! Awesome experience here, and the best part is how fast they were since I had to crunch this thing within my work break. Give this place a go!
