Polaris on the Park

What I was looking for in an apartment sorta took me in many different directions.
First off, I wanted to find a place that puts in a centralized location to food, fun and festivals.
I also wanted to be close to downtown’s music scene which is 2 miles away.
I also needed easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, entertainment as well as area parks for recreational activities
Most importantly I wanted a nice and attractive place to call home.
After driving and searching around town I decided on Polaris on the Park. They offered most of what I was looking for in a place to live.
I’m presently renting a large two bedroom apartment which is pretty much the same price of most one bedroom apartments in central Austin.
The apartment I’m renting has new appliances, dark hard wooden floors, free basic cable and soon to come Google Fiber.
I especially LOVE the Management and Maintenance Team. Those folks always greet me with warm smiles and friendly conversation.
The managers on site are always willing help out with any questions I have and the maintenance guys are Johnny on the spot with completing work orders.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Polaris on the Park.

I am a 24 year old woman from Mexico who recently moved to Austin. Being blindsided by the amount of apartments and housing options in Austin I can definitely say that when I found Polaris on the Park I knew straight away that it was the right fit. I live with a roommate and split the bill making it easy on me economically. This allowed me to live close to my work, Riverside, Congress and Downtown without spending that much. There is a corner store at the end of the street, great food in the surrounding areas, and even some running/​walking/​hiking trails I definitely have taken advantage of. Since I moved in I have seen great changes in management as well as updating amenities. The laundry room used to be a hot mess and now they re-​did the entire room adding ventilation and new machines to mach the new Lobby. Google Fiber will be installed in less than a Month, which means fast internet for about $ 10 a month. There are a lot of positive things about this complex and the only negative thing I could say is that parking can be limited, but I believe I am just lazy and want to park as close to my APT as possible. All in all I believe I chose wisely for my first Austin apartment and have definitely recommended it to my friends.

Absolutely love this place. My boyfriend and I have been here for over two years now and it does just keep getting better. We didn’t experience this when we first moved in, but then the staff and management changed & since then everything has improved beyond belief.
They’re very reliable, they get to maintenance requests right away, even the leasing office is so aesthetically pleasing now, and it just feels like you’re well taken care of by these folks.
Right across from the cutest park called Mabel Davis, close to public transportation, close to downtown, we have wonderful neighbors… I really do love these apartments.

I had seen/​checked out these apartments about 5 years ago and well… EW to say the least. I moved in this summer and am BLOWN away at the changes and the new management. As someone else said, they came in and REALLY cleaned house. They have renovated all apartments, cleaned up the property, and got in much better tenants. All of the people in the surrounding apartments are fantastic and my biggest fear moving into a new apartment was you never know who you’re going to get next to you (I’ve lived all of the country and have seen it all, the people here are great).
There is a clean and sparkly pool, with a very large patio to sit at, read on, cook at, whatever. It is usually pretty empty during the day so you have the pool to yourself more often than not (and it is super peaceful and tranquil).
If there is a maintenance issue all you have to do is pick up the phone, stroll into the office, or even fill out a form online and they get it taken care of for you right away. The actual maintenance/​grounds crew staff are all really nice and work really hard to make sure things are done right. They’re also personable and even let my disabled son ‘help’ if something needs to get done by my apartment.
To pay rent, same thing. You can do it online, by check in the office or drop it in the mail slot. It is really convenient.
The office staff is beyond amazing. They go above and beyond all the time. Every time I need any little thing (fax this, scan that, my cell phone broke can I use your phone real quick to call the doc back, help carry this package for me it is too heavy), they’re always there to help out. They’re all very polite and do what they can to make sure you’re happy.
This new management team really is above the rest. I know there are OLD reviews that aren’t great (and this place wasn’t great to be honest prior to the new mgmt.), but since the new management team came in and I’ve moved in, this place has been a fabulous place to live.
It is also super convenient to everything! I35, 71, Lamar, Congress, shopping, dinning, any service you could imagine. The location is great.
Overall I’m really impressed and glad I made the decision to check this place out again.

Moved in February with s roommate. (2 bed 1.5 Bath)
This complex is under new management and they are working hard to make this a nicer place to live.
We’ve had a couple concerns that were addressed by maintenance in a timely manner.
And wouldn’t ya’ know, they even called me to ensure I was satisfied with the work!
They also just recently upgraded their laundry room to have machines that take debit/​credit instead of loadable cards.
I also really like the appliances that came in our unit. And the pool is a pretty decent size if you’re big on swimming/​splashing around.
Neighbors are a mix of students/​families so it rarely gets crazy loud.
AND IT’S CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN!
I am enjoying my time here, and am heavily considering renewing our lease.

I have lived here for 6 months. It has been great. I haven’t had a roach or bug problem at all. I like how close I live to work and other attractions. I had an AC problem one time and the maintenance guy came that same day even though it was fathers day. He fixed it quickly and gave me useful tips. I believe management recently changed.
I don’t use the washer/​dryer here bc I like Oltorfs washateria alot.
I have seen the cops here once or twice, but hey its not the apartments fault when people want to act up around here.
I live with my husband and toddler and we keep to ourselves and enjoy living here.
Only thing I will say, park in visitors if your a visitor. Ive had three family members veh’s get towed.
Also, pay rent on time, or youll have a problem with late fee’s.
So far this place has been good to us.

This place is awful.
The apartments are infested with roaches. The woman who works in the office told my roommate to not go into any other apartment because many are infested with bedbugs. She acknowledged that the complex has a roach problem, but that their exterminator wasn’t doing their job well. SO GET A NEW EXTERMINATOR.
The washers and dryers consistently take your money.
This is by far the most disgusting place I’ve ever lived. NEVER MOVE HERE.
