Priebe Security Services

I worked for this company all of 3 months and just got fired. I am 46 years old, retired police officer, operated my own business for 5 years and took this job to pick up extra cash. This is the only time I’ve ever been fired.
What for you ask? For using my phone, not being in uniform & using tobacco. Oh, dread. Here was the deal.
I had to work with the site supervisor for two days straight. During this time, I heard him whine about working for the company, wanting to work for himself by opening a restaurant, hoping that a men’s club opens next door so he could see ta-ta’s every day (I have three daughters), disrespect a retired US Army Ranger (I’m a veteran), complain about other employees and divulge personnel matters on previous employees. All the while, he was out of uniform and spoke on his personal phone regularly.
I was fed up and told him that I was going to ask to be transferred. He blew a fuse and sandbagged me with my infractions without acknowledging his or other employees who use tobacco.
So he sends off an email and I get canned. Did I get an opportunity to make a case or where they interested in my view. Nope! Out… The…Door! Classy place. If I could give no stars I would.

Unilocal says,“Remember, businesses can’t pay to alter or remove their reviews.” Yet every negative review and even the planted positive ones written by Priebe’s office staff have been removed or filtered. At least the five star review written by Priebe’s office manager was finally removed after 1^st being filtered, then featured as their only review for a few weeks, then removed completely for violating content guidelines. If you want an honest review of Priebe you’ll have to search them on Indeed. Unilocal filters all reviews on Priebe including this one.

Worked for almost 2 years. Never had any issues but New Office HR Manager Sylvia Cabello was out to prove a point. And reminded me why I NEVER like the folks in the office. STAY AWAY from Priebe !!! Until the get rid of the HR lady she is Horrible and a Major reason ALL the reviews are One Star or Less.

I worked for them in the past year and Priebe has, overall, been the worst employer I have ever worked for. There are a lot of up front promises or minimizing of what is expected or what you will need to do. The supervisors or managers punish or lecture for not knowing information you don’t have access to or weren’t trained in in order to push the blame onto the employee rather than their inadequate training process. Their «ongoing» training they like to brag about consists of a monthly article that may or may not impart useful knowledge.
The patrol services are their weakest area overall. The end result of their system is either a) Complete a quality patrol, but take more than the allotted 10 hours, get lectured, and not paid for working past the 10 hours, or b) Complete the patrol under the 10 hour time frame so Priebe doesn’t need to pay overtime, but run the entire route missing possible problems, neglecting key areas of the patrol, and just generally sloppy work. One saves Priebe money and the other costs them more money to pay the employee. They obviously pick item «b», but say to complete quality work.
The reason I give two stars, instead of one, is that I had the pleasure of working with some great site supervisors whom I respect greatly. These are not managers or field supervisors. They are regular officers who know more of what their clients want, are more in touch with what needs to be done and what an officer is capable of, and treated myself and coworkers with more respect than the main office’s management did.
In summary, I do not recommend Priebe Security as an employer, but also caution any business that utilizes their patrol services or is considering using it. They need to revamp their current method of patrolling and also increase their patrol officers in order to lower their overall load so that a quality patrol within the desired time frame can be obtained.
