Quality Inn & Suites Airport

Arrived on Sunday at Quality Inn after Thanksgiving – a very busy travel weekend.
Wonderful reception given me by front desk staffer, Becca. She offered straight-​away to book my shuttle, cheerfully offering chocolate and amenities to honor my «Choice «status. She was equally nice to other patrons.
Good experience because of her excellent attitude and service.

There front desk Assistant Manager is rude, disrespectful, disgusting why she still work there it shows how they really care about customer returning.

This place deserves a better rating than it has. I booked online and got a great deal, but we were gonna end up getting there a couple hours before we could check in. I called ahead and the guy said we might have to wait a bit, but when I got there he was very accommodating and found us a room right away, 2 hours before check in. We asked about some good BBQ places close by and the guy found a map and suggested 4+ places.
The room was decent, the AC could have been colder and the bed wasn’t the comfiest ever, but it was a good deal for what we paid.
Now all the staff we encountered was super nice. But the nicest thing was when we left n checked out at 7am to head to the airport, didnt get on our flight because we were stand by and it filled up. So rather than sit at the airport for hours til our next possible flight at 2pm I called and saw if we could come back to our room, get some rest and then head to the airport when we had to check out. She said that was totally fine, check out is at 11, we can come back, sleep and then head back out. And we got a free shuttle from the hotel back and forth. So nice of them.

Bed was pretty hard, pillows were tiny, and the absolutely worst part was the fact that there was no hot water. Not worth the price of $ 135. Don’t think I’ll be back. Ever.

Clean nice and super friendly staff what more could you ask for. Really close to the airport and has a free shuttle. Meets the purpose for my families trip. Everything in the room is really clean, bed was comfortable.
I will stay here again next time I’m traveling.

Helpful, friendly staff. In morning, plenty of hot water, but the night I checked in there was not. Free breakfast passable — they use real eggs, not powdered. Worst coffee I ever tasted. The main complaint is that cleanliness is not important to them. There were lots of vacuumable bits on my carpet, and some dried grass fell out of the curtains when I closed them. And the curtains smelled filthy. AC works well, but you have to keep the curtains open for it to vent into the room. In the ‘gym’ there was trash on the floor — would have taken all of 2 minutes to clean it up.
PROs– Bed clean and comfy. TV worked fine, as did wakeup call.

Nice hotel inside and out. It was a lot better than a motel 6 or other cheap overnight accommodation.
Beds-​comfortable, but linens not changed or reset daily
Location– great location easy to get to downtown and basically anywhere in Austin.
Free breakfast — mediocre at best. Not checked on by staff regularly. Always out of coffee and food items

I picked this hotel because it was close to the airport and close to the Circuit of the Americas track. If I came back to Austin I don’t think I would stay here again though. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and a decent size, however my door was so difficult to get in, every time I came back to my room I had to slam my shoulder into the door 2 – 3 times before it opened. The continental breakfast left much to be desired. I know, it’s a free breakfast, but I’ve been in hotels that have really good free breakfasts. This one did not have much variety in food or beverages. The first day I was there it was a choice between juice and coffee. I prefer milk in the morning, but I had a cup of coffee. The second day there was no coffee. Thankfully there are fridges in the rooms and I had bought some milk the day before. There are also microwaves in the rooms which is nice. There were 2 elevators in the building yet one was broken and the working one was pretty slow. The location was not terrible, however there were some shady looking establishments right next door and there were pretty much no close by food places, so if you don’t have a car you’re stuck with nothing to eat. The parking lot was also small. I was in town for the MotoGP and so were most of the guests. People were parked in aisles because there was not enough parking. Lastly, the walls seemed to be pretty thin and each night I was woken up by the sounds of toilets flushing. That was kind of annoying.

Do not stay here very dirty and I saw the housekeeper cleaning the whole bathroom with a face towel disgusting. Also their laundry room is downstairs with the door always open music blasting and loud talking. Only one elevator works and no privacy.

Bed bugs. Live, living, infestation of bed bugs.
Mother is staying there at end of trip to Austin. Taking trash bags to put clothes in so they don’t travel.
Have you ever had an infestation of bed bugs? I have, when I lived in Denver.
They are almost impossible to get rid of and make life hell.
So if you want life to be hell and have an infestation of bed bugs in Your luggage to take back home with you, stay here.

We booked this hotel because we were seeing a Concert nearby, and didn’t want to drive the 20 miles to get home, after getting out of the concert.
The room was ok for us, since we only spent about 15 hours there. The room did have a couple of small cleanliness issues though such as, a dirty in room coffee pot and the tub had mold growing in the corner of it.
The hotel offers free breakfast, but we didn’t eat there. There is also a small gym, a small office with a computer for guest use, and complimentary coffee in the lobby… although all the pots emptied very quickly in the morning, with no real effort from the staff to refill them.
The area the hotel is located in a sketchy looking area, and there is a lot of air traffic noise from the nearby airport. So, it’s an ok place, if all you’re doing here is sleeping.

I booked this hotel because it is super close to the airport and we had just flown in for a concert in Austin. Overall the hotel was okay, it served it’s purpose — it was clean, easy to check in, elevators were fast, and parking was easy. The hotel is maybe 5 mins from the airport, which turned out great because my husband and I actually overslept and had to rush to the airport the next morning. One of the things that was weird– that weekend the weather had just changed it was around 38 – 39 degrees, but housekeeping must have been airing out the room because they left the window open, when we checked in the room was freezing! Thankfully the heater worked great so the room warmed up really fast.
Also, there was no one at the desk the morning we checked out, they had a sign up that stated they had stepped away and would be back soon. We were so late for our plane (our fault we overslept), I waited 5 minutes but couldn’t wait any longer. I left a note and our key and put it behind their desk. I called later from the airport, they were nice enough to check us out over the phone and said everything was fine.

I am here right now. Neither phone works, no desk chair, and room smells like smoke even though smoking is not allowed in this hotel. Not a choice place if you ask me. Pool is too small.

For $ 85 a night this hotel falls very short. Unfriendly hotel staff, no sugar for morning coffee, breakfast is very limited on choices, Ladies room near front desk was disgusting.

Great room and close to the airport. We used the shuttle service twice. Wonderful service!

I checked in yesterday and when I arrived in my room the bed had not been fully made — the pillows were at the foot of the bed and there were no pillow cases on them. There were no towels in the bathroom.
As I left for the evening around 5:30 I told the front desk that I needed pillowcases and towels but when I returned that night there were still no pillowcases or towels. At this point it was past midnight and I didn’t feel like staying up waiting around for someone to eventually bring them, so I used my clothes as a pillow and washcloths as a towel.
These seem like two pretty basic things that should be provided by a hotel without a guest having to ask for them. I told the lady at the front desk about it when I checked out and she seemed completely unconcerned.
For $ 100 a night, you’d think they could provide towels and pillows.

My wife and came to Austin for a concert so I booked a room for us for the night. It was pretty obvious by the smell that they had just recently done some renovations so I thought that we should get a pretty nice room. The first room we were given was obviously an old pet room (since they no longer allow pets). The room smelled of can urine and it was very strong. Lucky for us they had another room on the third floor. The rooms appearance isn’t too bad but when I went to watch tv after the concert I couldn’t find the remote. I called the front desk and they told me I needed to go down and get one from the front desk. The friggin thing isn’t programed for the tv and therefore doesn’t work. If you can help it, stay away from here!

No AC, bad bulbs, and a jumpy elevator.
Those are the good things! ATX was packed this particular weekend so this was the best we could do and I honestly think I would have rather lived on sixth street. The average temperature of our room was 86 degrees, we had four burnt out bulbs, and the elevator seemed like it was being held up by a single strand of dental floss.
I get the appeal of something close to the airport, but Austin isn’t so big that you can’t drive someplace — anyplace — and get a better place.

Ok, so it’s not the hotels I’m used to. It was a last minute need and close to the airport. At first walk in, there was a funny smell that I asked about and the front desk manager said it was outside, but I don’t remember smelling it outside.
When they gave me the room, first room on the first floor smelled of smoke. I requested another room. They gave me a suite on the 2^nd floor. That was cool. On my walk to the elevator and to my room, you could see this hotel was not maintained. The floor moulding were off, the ceiling boards were missing in areas allowing you to see the pipes and ventilation systems. Needless to say, it didn’t leave me feeling comfortable in the sanitation.
The room was decent, I smelled the sheets and they smelled clean, lol so I layed out for the 4 hours that I needed the room before I had to head back to the airport.

We walked into the lobby at 3:30 am, and watched the night desk unwrap the freshly Wall Street Journal delivery while our exhausted asses waited not so patiently to be let in a room. This gave us some extra time to check out the three dehumidifiers, industrial strength fans and heater-​blowers moving the mold around the lobby.
Turns out that the night clerk was doing us a favor. Every last second that we did not spend in the hotel room was a good thing.
Room key procured, we walked down a hall that looked as if Hurricane Katrina had just passed through. Door after door revealed desks on beds, desk chairs askew, We exchanged worried looks… was this the «Last Chance Hotel»? How would we make it out alive? Was anyone going to explain why the hotel looked such a mess? Was our room going to be upturned?
Luckily, our personal room had the requisite bed without extra furniture, but it did only have 4 tiny people pillows. It also smelled terribly of mold and mildew. For 2 hours it would do, though thoughts of heading directly to the airport were had. Should we just sleep in the terminal? Eh, we can suffer through this.
We fled alive (as evidenced by my ability to review) at 5:30 am.
