History

Established in 1998.

Red Moon Lighting is a division of Red Moon Co, an Austin based general contractor specializing in residential remodeling. In 1998, while doing a large remodel project in Westlake Hills, my customer indicated his inability to find a competent landscape lighting contractor and asked me (insisted really,) to take over the lighting of their 3000sf house and the numerous large Oaks on their acre lot. I was lucky to find a leading equipment supplier willing to give me a crash course in landscape lighting. With his training and my having studied photography where I learned how to ‘paint with light’, I discovered that I have a natural knack for lighting design. That first job with four transformers and 75 light fixtures was a big success. Today my main drive is the personal satisfaction I feel upon seeing my designs come to life and the delight of my satisfied customers.
