RJ Orthodontics

Dr. Jackson is my 11 year old daughters orthodontists. We are very happy with him. He is very personable and explains all procedures in great detail. He often returns calls himself –especially when we have had minor «emergencies» like a broken wire in the night/​weekend etc — which is very reassuring and gets the matters resolved quickly. Once he even returned my call when he was driving to the airport to go for a conference.
He is highly qualified as you might already know from his bio. His assistants and staff are very competent and nice too.
I interviewed several Steiner/​River Place orthodontists and was not impressed with their high and mighty attitude and very mechanical approach — wanting to pull 4 teeth out before and treating it as a very standard mechanical procedure with not much motivation to explain anything etc. One of them even wanted to rush us into starting the treatment right away telling me that one of her tooth (that was taking a long time to come out) was not going to come out on its own since it was blocked… apparently other teeth has to be moved orthodontically quickly to let this tooth come out.
Dr. Jackson, on the other hand, looked at my daughters x-​rays of that tooth and told me it was on its way — not to worry — and to come back after it came out which might take 3 – 6 months. We waited 4 months and went back to him when the tooth had descended on its own.
Dr. Jackson then examined her and said in her case there was enough space and there was no need to pull any teeth out before the treatment. He also explained the procedures for invisalign and the standard braces with advantages and disadvantages. His knowledge, friendly demeanor and confidence is striking and you know you are in good hands. We are getting close to the year mark with her treatment and are seeing progress as he had expected.
You cannot go wrong choosing Dr. Jackson. He will do what is good for your teeth and not suggest any unnecessary procedures like many others. He is THE BEST orthodontist in the 4-​points area! I warmly recommend him.
They also fit us in with all our crazy school and activity schedule and see us either before or after school hours.

I’m 25 and have no kids, but I did come see Dr. RJ for my orthodontia-​related needs and loved my experience just as much as everyone else on this page.
Specifically: I shoved the same grimy, metal, upper-​retainer into my mouth since my childhood orthodontist removed my braces in the year 2002. Given the amount of time that has passed, and the lack of love I gave my retainer for many years, it broke on me smack-​dab in the middle of holiday-​season (as if to smite me for said lack of love).
Fearing the cost of a replacement retainer would deter me from replacing it at all and banish me to the realm of crooked teeth, I made an appointment with Dr. RJ anyway. (Let’s be honest though, my teeth are already more crooked now than they were when my braces were first removed because life happens and I never said I was perfect.)
Anyway, the woman who scheduled my appointment and manages the front desk, it seems, was the absolute kindest. I regret saying I’ve forgotten her name in the month that has passed since I went to the office… but really, she’s the best. Actually, everyone there is really the best. They are all very kind and very helpful and at least feign interest in my life outside of my broken retainer.
I researched Dr. RJ before coming in to see him because that’s what you do when you’re frugal and cynical. Safe to say: he lived up to the hype. He’s extremely kind and actually seems to REALLY enjoy shoving his paws into people’s mouths. He, too, exhibited a great interest in me as his patient and made me feel comfortable. Like all orthodontists SHOULD… he had a perfect smile and isn’t afraid to flash it. Everyone there smiled most of the time. I’m sure their faces hurt at the end of the day, but I really appreciated it.
Perhaps most importantly (to me at least), the cost of Dr. RJ making a new retainer for me was beyond affordable. I was expecting to pay over $ 350 and I paid well under that.
I was so satisfied with my experience that I am actually considering undergoing a brief Invisalign stint in RJ’s care to fix my apparent malocclusion. Which, BY THE WAY, no dentist I’ve had since 2002 has mentioned to me… but Dr. RJ did because he actually cares about my mouth and teeth and oral health! Thanks Dr. RJ!

He is my daughters orthodontist and we love him. She feels very comfortable with him and they take care of any issue we may have in a very timely manner. They have always been upfront with everything and have never surprised us with anything that they did not tell us in the beginning.

One grim morning, I had a text from my roommate telling me he accidentally threw away my retainers down the trash chute. Needless to say there was an urgency for me to go to a dental office to get an impression of my teeth to make new retainers before they began to shift drastically. As a Dallas native, I did not have an orthodontist to immediately go to. So what I did was literally Google «orthodontics» and and went down the list of offices the search provided. The first ten offices or so either had inconvenient hours (closing at 3p), they were full for the day and my appointment would have to be 3 – 5 days from when I called, or simply they don’t make retainers for non-​existing patients (for whatever reason…). However, when I called RJ Orthodontics, they were extremely accommodating. Despite a last minute notice and a full schedule, they worked with me and fitted me right in for the afternoon on the same day.
The staff is extremely competent and friendly. Although I only went in for an impression, I’m 100% positive they will do any other dental service they provide exceptionally well. On top of this, Dr. Jackson is the most personable healthcare provider I have met. After an initial conversation with him, he gained my trust right away and I’m sure he will gain yours too.
By far, this dental office is the most accommodating of all. Although there are dental offices that are extremely more convenient for me to go to, I don’t mind the extra 20 minute drive to RJ Orthodontics.

We met Dr. Jackson when he checked my two boys’ teeth at Kids Dental Smiles. My 8 year old was ready to begin his orthodontic journey, my 6 year old needed some more teeth to grow in first. Dr. Jackson now sees my 8 year old at KDS. My 8 year old really likes him! I was impressed with him as well so I now see him at his 4 points office for Invisalign. We are all really happy with Dr. Jackson! He’s nice, friendly, funny, and he really listens to you! The icing on the cake is his office staff! Every one of the ladies we have worked with are so nice! I cannot recommend RJ Orthodontics highly enough!

I met with 3 different orthodontists in the area, and Dr. Jackson and his staff, stood out! My 10 yr old daughter and I knew immediately that this was the right choice for her. Not only did they work with our monthly budget, but they treated us like we were all part of a great family. There’s never a long wait, we’re always greeted with smiles, and they truly care about everyone they see. The best part is that my daughter actually looks forward to her appointments!!! Thank you!

I am an Army wife visiting from Germany to see my parents and needed my retainer tightened twice and found this amazing doctor and great staff! Got me in quickly, super friendly, and great work with my retainer. Everyone is always smiling and has a great attitude, I really enjoy going in and love the Chrisitian music in the office:) Highly recommend RJ Orthodontists!

RJ is presently my nine-​year-​old daughter’s Orthodontist and I’m not exaggerating when I say he is probably one of the top two best healthcare providers my family has ever had (out of probably 3 dozen).
My daughter is deathly afraid of both Dr. and Dentists because she has needed a lot of medical care, much of which was not pleasant.
To date, he is the ONLY ONE who has been able to gain her trust.
Furthermore, his business is well run and his staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. We have two different insurances (one of which is military and somewhat cumbersome) and RJ’s team manages everything expertly.
We have used two other renowned orthodontists (one in Stiener and one on Bee Caves) and neither are remotely as good as this guy.

Dr Jackson was recommended to us from our dentist, Dr Freeze. She gave us a couple to choose from and said he knew all the latest techniques and that he would be a great fit for our 3 children.
We absolutely love Dr Jackson! He is so kind, compassionate and sincere in his care for the children. My daughter was in first grade and getting her first retainer and she thinks he is great and even looks forward to her visits. He even made the retainer rainbow colored and also with glitter and a custom picture embedded into in with her name. She loves it!
We also love that he has a strong Christian faith and he even gave up watching tv for more time to study the bible. Amazing man and we are glad he is here in Four Points.

Dr. Jackson and his office personnel have been very polite and respectful. Dr. Jackson is very knowledgeable with all his products and services which allows me to just relax and trust that what he says or does will work! I highly recommend giving Dr. Jackson from RJ Orthodontics an opportunity!

We have been going to Dr. Jackson since his move to the Four Points area, and I can’t say enough about the amazing quality of care my son has received at RJ Orthodontics. Dr. Jackson not only knows the latest technology in the industry, he builds a relationship with his patients AND with their parents.
Having three older kids we knew what we wanted in an orthodontist and Dr. Jackson has surpassed our expectations – from his great bed side manner to working with our budget, he has gone above and beyond to make our experience a great one. Not only has Dr. Jackson made my son actually like going to the orthodontist his lovely office makes it fun for me to take him. I have recommended him to many friends, who have loved him as well, and will continue to do so even after our son’s treatment.

Dr. Jackson is fantastic! I know that’s simple and straight forward but it’s the truth. We have two boys, ages 14 and 9, who love going to see him. His office is modern, convenient and friendly. You can tell he really appreciates his clients business. I think what we liked the best was his personality. Anyone who can get two boys excited about coming to see him is impressive and he has done that! I plan to tell everyone who is interested how great our experience was with his service.

When recently moving to Austin we knew that we’d need a good orthodontist for our three boys. RJ was the last of four orthodontists we met with, and when we did meet him– my sons told me that he (RJ) was the one! The clinic is both, beautiful and in a convenient location. RJ is personable and doesn’t talk down to my children, but patiently explains everything he’s doing and why. All in all we enjoy working with him.

I have to say Dr. Jackson has to be the most down to earth orthodontist we have ever met (and I have met a few :-)). His ability to make kids feel at ease about orthodontics is a gift!
My daughter was less than excited about getting anything done to her teeth and now she is excited about her appointments. She looks forward to catching up with Dr.Jackson. He is so good at involving the kids in the decision making which makes them feel even more part of the big picture.
We often wish we had longer appointments just to chat with Dr. Jackson!

A really great experience! I had a dental emergency and RJ was able to see me immediately to fix another dentist’s mistake on my lower retainer. He not only fit me in right away, he was kind, friendly, courteous and waived the fee considering it was only a 5 minute procedure to fix! I definitely will be sending the rest of my family to RJ when the time comes! Overall experience was two thumbs way up.
BTW: The office was brand new, with bright friendly colors and a clean interior for all of you clean freaks out there. I am really picky when it comes to medical and dental offices being clean and his office was spotless.

We have been seeing RJ for over a year. My 14yo has completed her time with Invisalign braces, in one school year! Her teeth look great and her experience with braces was so positive! RJ is so fun and friendly but still professional and easy to contact. We have exchanged emails back and forth at 11pm! Just a great guy.
My 11yo has also been seeing him for pre-​braces treatment. As soon as those permanent teeth come in we will be seeing RJ for braces.

We LOVE R J Orthodontics! My kids are 11 and 9 and currently in phase 1 of orthodontic treatment. They love going to see Dr. Jackson! He is so good with them and as a mom that is very important to me. They love his great sense of humor and how he explains everything perfectly to them — so they feel in control and understand everything he’s doing with their treatment. With each visit he answers all our questions and spends a lot of time with us. I really cannot say enough great things about Dr. Jackson and his practice. When you go in for a consultation you won’t be disappointed — You and your kids will love Dr. Jackson.
