Established in 2010.

I have been at West End Salon for over three years, and doing hair for eleven years. This salon is located in a quaint house in downtown Austin, just off of West Sixth Street.

Business Owner

Born and raised in Ohio, I went to cosmetology school right out of high school in a small town. After graduating I moved to Columbus, Ohio to do a year and a half apprenticeship under three master stylists at one of the top salons in Columbus. Then went on to work as a stylist there for three years.

In 2008 I moved to Austin to pursue my career as a hair stylist. I worked at milk + honey for almost 4 years, and in the fall of 2011 I made my way to West End Salon to work as an independent hair stylist.

I am constantly striving to keep my clients happy by staying educated on what the top trends are so I can utilize them in my every day work.

Shortly after moving to Austin 8 years ago, I finally came to the realization that I could no longer travel home to Baton Rouge to get my hair done by my «hair girl.» We all have one that we never want to leave because they do your hair just right. Added bonus, I have thick curly hair so not everyone can do it just right and she wasn’t easy to find. BUT it wasn’t fiscally responsible of me to travel that far for hair any longer.
So the hunt began and led me to a girl in Austin. She BUTCHERED my hair (don’t worry ladies… she’s no longer in Austin!!!). This blonde (me) now had orange hair and layers up to the crown.
Then I found another girl that saved my hair… but was just. well…ok.
Then I found Robin. One of my girlfriends recommended that I go to her and she was right!!! I finally have a «hair girl» in Austin that gets my color right every time and cuts it perfectly for my hair type/​face.
Thank you Robin for always taking care of my wild hair!

Well I can’t say anything bad about this lady. I have thick curly hair so it’s not easy to cut my locks. Once I found Robin and she did it right I quit looking. She’s always happy and greets me with a smile. I live in LA not Austin so the only time I get a haircut is when I’m in town. If I need one I just wait till I have to go to Austin. My grandma has Alzheimer’s and is very particular about who touches her hair. Robin is one of the only people she allows to cut and style her hair. If you need a hair cut, go see Robin!

I consider my hair as one of my most valuable assets, and I’m extremely picky on who I can trust with it. When I moved to Austin I was looking for a replacement to my long time hair desser back home. I tried several, and had to stop one in the middle of my hair massacre! Alas, a friend recommended Robin. She was friendly, warm, attentive, thorough, and knowledgable. After my first session with her, I knew I had found THE ONE!
I have been Robin’s client for two years now. I trust her completely with my hair, even enough for her to do my very first color! Everytime I sit in her chair, I tell her what I am thinking about my hair, what I might or might not want to do with it, and ask for her advice. I know a couple hours later, I will look fabulous and PRIMPED TO PERFECTION!
No need to look any further! Robin is the one!

Robin is CRAZY talented. After moving to Austin, I hopped around for a while trying to find someone I could trust with my hair. A good friend (who ALWAYS has perfect hair) referred me to Robin and the rest is history!
She’s given me the BEST highlights I’ve ever had, she’s great at decoding my crazy thoughts and making them a reality and I trust her completely! As long as I’m in this city, Robin will be the only person to cut & color my hair. She’s an absolute godsend.

Let me count the ways I love Robin!
She has been cutting my hair for a few years now and is the first stylist I have *ever* trusted to just do whatever she wants. The second time I saw her I was chopping off about 20″ for the first time in my life, and I showed her a couple of pictures and just told her to make it look cute. It looked awesome! I have (very) fine, thin hair and she actually gave it shape and bounce!
She just did my hair (and my bridesmaids’ hair) for my wedding last month, and everyone looked GORGEOUS. Everyone’s hair looked just as good at midnight as it did when she put it up, which was in some cases 12 hours (!!!) earlier.
Robin is so sweet and the West End Salon is super cute — plus she will come on-​site for wedding… I can’t believe she doesn’t have any reviews on here yet! Give her a call if you want someone you can trust to make your hair look awesome no matter what you need!
