Meet the Business Owner
Ben D.
Business Owner
Partner and Principal of Design at Root Design Company; a landscape architecture, pool construction and estate management firm located in downtown Austin, Texas. His studio focuses primarily on privately commissioned residential estates with emphasis on unique gardens and watershaping. As a graduate of Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado with a degree in Business Recreation, Ben extended his studies further in the industry through Mike Lin Graphic Workshop, American Society of Landscape Architects, The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals and Genesis 3 continuing education opportunities. He is thoroughly engaged in the ASLA Design/Build Professional Practice Network. As well, his office has design work throughout Central Texas, New York and even into Colorado. He and business partner Duke Cowden along with a strong team aim not only to build timeless gardens, but relationships reflective of the equaled efforts made by both client and firm.
