History

Established in 2007.

John Rubin began his career at an Austin-​based defense litigation firm where he successfully defended large corporations and insurance companies. His clients ranged from Farmers Insurance, Germania, and Liberty Mutual to Union Pacific Railroad, BNSF, and local small businesses. In 2005, John joined a small personal injury firm and represented individuals from the Plaintiff’s side of the docket. By 2007, John set off to develop a high-​end general civil litigation practice with a focus on quality, not quantity. His brother, Michael, joined the firm in 2008 and together they’ve worked to provide detail-​oriented service and personal attention to their clients. Today, the firm continues to expand with a diverse group of experienced litigation attorneys ready and able to provide first class service in a variety of legal areas.

Business Owner

I was born on August 8, 1977, in Alexandria, Virginia. My family is originally from Argentina, both my parents having immigrated to the United States in 1976. I grew up in varying parts of the country, including Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Boston, and Houston.

In 1999, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a Spanish minor, from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2002, I obtained my J.D. with a concentration in General Civil Litigation from Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas.

I then moved back to Austin and practiced with the law firm of Burns, Anderson, Jury & Brenner, L.L.P. for approximately three years, working in the areas of general litigation, insurance practices and coverage, mold, complex commercial litigation, workers compensation, railroad, and toxic exposure involving Toluenediisocyanate, mold, and diesel exhaust.
