And heard the van pull up. Very very nice new van seems very clean and sterilized the groomer has even allowed us to stand and watch as she grooms our dog. very cute job always comes back with a cute bandana on and alwYs smells good too

We usually use Ruff Cuts Mobile Pet Grooming when we’re in a pinch, and to be fair, they’ve done an alright job in the past and were always hit or miss depending on the groomer that came to our house. For that, I’m okay with giving them a star.
To preface, I’m not terribly picky when it comes to Cooper’s cuts. We usually give him a short summer cut so there isn’t much room for error. Sometimes his face is just trimmed better than others.
However, the last time we used them and he was brought back to us, he shot straight upstairs under the bed. Not thinking too much about it, I thanked her and gave her a nice tip.
Unbeknownst to me at that time, the top of Cooper’s little ear was cut. I noticed there was blood on his fur on the top of his head and looked closer to find the tip glued (or SOMETHING) back on. It was stuck on there with something dark and stiff with blood around it. Poor lil’ guy.
When the groomer dropped him off, there was no mention whatsoever about an accidental cut to his ear. I immediately reached out to Ruff Cuts via phone with no answer so I reached out via email with a photo. Silence.
It’s been a month since the incident and Cooper is now missing a part of the tip of his ear.
I understand the weight of a negative review for a small business but at the same time, Ruff Cuts should really understand the value of their customers. All I was expecting was acknowledgement and an apology.

I was really excited to try them out due to the mostly glowing reviews — called on Tuesday, February 11^th and have not received a return call? My first Unilocal bust — boo!

I wish I didn’t have to give them one star. I called and called and called and only got voicemail. I left a message twice on different days and never received a call back. They either don’t want your business or they don’t care about customer service! Don’t waste your time to just be frustrated!

They were great the first couple of times we used them, but the measure of a company and its service is how they respond when something goes wrong. The last time we used them the groomer was awful. Our poor dog came back with cuts all over that required a vet visit to take care of. Despite pictures of the scrapes and cuts sent to the management and promises of help initially given we’ve had repeated emails and phone calls go sadly unanswered.

Great job. My Leo was full of mats that I couldn’t keep up with. Ruff cuts shaved him and now he looks even more like a lion. They did a great job.

We have been using Ruff Cuts several times for our Coton De Tulear. Stephanie is an amazing groomer. It’s just too bad her employer doesn’t know much about customer service. I, too run a business and know how important your customers are to your business. We had an appointment at 4 PM and they didn’t get here until after 5 pm. When I called and phoned them, the girl who answered the phone said, «we had trouble with our truck». Ok… but then why didn’t you call me and tell me you would be over an HOUR late? I explained to the woman that being 5 — 10 minutes late is acceptable, but over an hour and no phone call? Very poor customer services. I asked her for a discount on our bill and she said she would call the owner and then I heard back from her and the owner said, «no discount». WOW! This owner needs to learn about customer service, because with her attitude she won’t be in business for very long.

Caroline did a phenomenal job on my kitty Gizmo.
He has been professionally groomed for the past 7 years and she has done the best job I have ever had. Two washes and a clip. She also tipped us off to a possible start of an ear infection. It was wonderful to have someone come right to the house for grooming. If anyone out there has a persian/​long hair cat that needs grooming this is the way to go.
Ruff Cuts and Caroline are not «big box» or «chain stores» (aka Petco) and their service, attention and care to the animal, and length of time spent shows this. They are not the «cheapest» on the block so if you are looking for a Walmart quality job for a Walmart price then you should probably go to Walmart. However, if you care for your animal and want a fair market price for an excellent job then this is the place to go.

ever groomed a cat? Know how many groomers will? I couldn’t have been more impressed with the care and expertise shown to one of my favorite fur balls. Caroline rocks!

Caroline was absolutely amazing with my cat — she has the patience of a saint and was so compassionate, treating her as if she were her own pet. Evidently she has extensive veterinary training as well, which is valuable to know. Thanks Caroline!

I LOVE THESE LADIES. My cat looks so handsome and is so happy when he gets his monthly spa day with Ruff Cuts. They are prompt and sweet and treat my ‘son’ in the best possible way. I cannot say enough about how much Ruff Cuts has imporved my life. No more cat hair around the house and I don’t even have to drop him off, they come to me!

For the convenience of a groomer coming to you, completing the job in about an hour, and my pet coming out clean, pretty and happy, this service can’t be beat!
And the email reminders are awesome! They’ll even text clients if we want!

I had a very negative experience with this company and will not use them again.
When I I called Ruff Cuts and scheduled an appointment, I was very clear to tell her I needed a nail trim, a bath and my dog’s anal glands expressed (this is my standard routine appointment). I was booked 6 days later, Saturday morning at 11am.
The groomer was an hour and 10 minutes late and no one bothered to call me and tell me. I had another appointment that morning and my mother just had to sit in my house all that extra time not knowing what to expect. When the groomer finally arrived, she informed my Mom that they didn’t do anal gland expression and offered no apology or discount for being late.
My Mom, being the lovely woman that she is, called my regular vet and took Casey in to get his anal glands expressed. At that time, the vet tech remarked at how awful a nail trim he had – stating that they must have used dull clippers b/​c they were jagged and rough. She had to redo all the nails (for free, btw).
So basically, I got my dog a $ 65 bath. Screw that.

My first experience with Ruff Cuts was fine. My second experience with Ruff Cuts was awful.
My dog’s hair cut was completely botched and they refused to fix it. I asked for a traditional lion cut (super easy), the back half of his body looked fine (shaved properly, etc) but they essentially did nothing to his front half. His hair was left long, his front legs were left unshaven, and there were a bunch of mats in his mane that they did not get out. I was also over charged $ 5. Which doesn’t sound like much, but when you’re paying $ 80 for a dog haircut it adds up.
When I called to have someone address the issue it took a couple of days to get a hold of someone, and when I explained my problem the person had to contact the owner and she said she would call me back. She never called back, I had to call to call her and her response was essentially that they were not going to do anything about it. After explaining my situation once more she said she’d contact the owner again. She called back to let me know that the owner would be issuing me a refund, less $ 25 for the trouble of coming out. Even though I felt I was entitled to a full refund, I said that was fine but that I wanted to speak to the owner regardless. I was told the owner would contact me.
I have not seen a check from these people and the owner has yet to call. So I have paid $ 80 for a terrible hair cut, and I’m going to have to pay full price to have it fixed which is going to turn into $ 100+. The reason why you pay extra for this service is supposed to be for the convenience factor but this experience has been anything but. Terrible grooming, terrible customer service, and it’s now going to cost me twice the amount of money and time to have it done properly. I will never use this service again and I advise others to go elsewhere as well.

Caroline did an excellent job with my two cats. I dare say that it was the best grooming that they’ve ever had, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Yes, Ruff Cuts is a bit more expensive than what I’m used to paying, but they are friendly, prompt, and do an excellent job. I highly recommend them and I will definitely use them again when my kitties need another grooming.

I have the dog from hell when it comes to grooming! «He is a rescue and gets really scared» I have been called back to every grooming store that i have used asking me to pick up my dog because he is biting and they can’t finish him.
After about the 5^th place I was about ready to give up and try to become a groomer myself. I even tried giving him pills that the vet gave me to calm him down and make him sleepy for the groomer but… They didn’t work.
My last chance was calling Ruff Cuts. After talking on line and giving them my dogs history etc. we finally decided to give it a try and set up an appt. They came out to my house and took him inside the van. Washed him and blow dried him. Then comes the knock on the door. He was trying to bite the girls that where working on him.
Instead of handing him back over they took my into the van with my dog to calm him down and even let me hold him while they finished up. Needless to say the cut was not the most even but for all that they had to deal with they did a GREAT job and they even came back the next time that I called them.
My second visit went even better than the first. This time Cat came out by herself. She remembered my dog and had a game plan ready. She was going to wash him and dry him then come and get me to hold him for his cut. But she is so great with him that in about 35 min she had him washed dried clipped and shaved and didn’t even need my assistance!
I can’t tell you how happy this made me! I never thought that he would be able to get through a whole hair cut.
I love this service! It is a bit more pricy than I would like to pay and I don’t for my other dog, but it is so worth every Pennie.

Here’s the jest: you call up Ruff cuts and they will come to you to take care of your doggie and kitty grooming needs. Now 9 times out of 10 when you call said number you will get a voicemail. Just leave a message and they will call you back ASAP.
They were even cool enough to work w/​me on meeting me around the corner since my apartment does not know I have a cat, and I’d like to keep it that way ;-)
My cat Charlie got the works and came out shaved and smelling like lavender! Now it wasn’t the best shave job ever, but the groomer said he was the squirmiest cat she’d ever seen, which in all honesty he is.
The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars, is price. My local vet I just found out (South Congress vet clinic) is cheaper and does a more even shave.
But for a no hassle, save some gas experience it’s really cool that they come to you.

I have 3 cats that had never been groomed. After research I realized that mobile grooming is expensive. Especially for cats! Ruff Cuts was very reasonable. I found a cheaper groomer, but they seemed very dog oriented. Ruff Cuts sent Caroline out to groom all 3 of them for me. I had been nervous about my cats freaking out & also getting what I paid for.
I was very pleased. Caroline has cats of her own & was very at ease with my cats as they were with her. Well, as «at ease» as they can be with their 1^st groom! Of course they didn’t like their baths, but they quickly recovered & even enjoyed their brushing. It was obvious their comfort was Caroline’s top priority. She was patient & very knowledgeable. I will definitely use her services again.
Things to know about cat grooming:
They do not handle blow drying very well so there may be some areas that don’t get completely dry. I’m sure she could have gotten them completely dry, but as I learned from watching to do so would probably be too upsetting an experience for the cat. It was better to leave some damp patches than to upset them more than necessary.
If you want the furminator treatment it can only be done on dry fur, so if your cat is not tolerant of the blow dryer they can’t be furminated.
In the end 2 of my 3 cats were dried & furminated. The 3^rd cat was too upset to tolerate the blow dryer so Caroline suggested a lion cut. She was my worst shedder so I gave it a try & we both love it! I can pet her without getting covered with fur & she can not get enough petting!

Very convenient and friendly. They pulled into our driveway with their grooming van and went to work. When finished, our dog was still happy and really seemed to like the groomer. They sent her back to us with a St. Patrick’s day bandana around her neck. I don’t really put that kind of stuff on my dog so we got a good laugh seeing her «dressed up.»
We have had her groomed in the past at other places and she was always upset when the grooming was finished. Ruff Cuts is a little bit more pricey than some other groomers we have used, but definitely worth it for the convenience and not stressing our dog out. We will use them again.
