Rural Rooster Print & Design

I was amazed with two things about Rural Rooster
1. Customer service — real emails, real phone calls, answers, amazing proofing, patience with me, the list goes on and on. If you want your shirts EXACTLY how you want them, it just doesn’t get any better
2. Quality — the printing is top notch and i can tell a lot of detail and care went into them. It was worth every penny.
Seriously, support local badasses. I can’t recommend this place enough for helping you get to a great final product.

I’ve used Rural Rooster for two runs of shirts now and will definitely go to them again.
The quality of a business can be determined by how they handle mistakes. For the most recent run of shirts, I referenced a previous order that split sizes between men and women’s styles. When I got my second order home, I realized the full run was men’s t’s. Although I was down with Pat Benetar-​ing the men’s tees for myself, I knew some other folks would need the ladies sizes and cuts. I was dreading telling them about this, since my budget wouldn’t allow for an additional run.
I wrote them on a Sunday and had a «just bring back the extra men’s and we will get you taken care of!» by Monday afternoon. Just really great service. They even offered to ship the new run to me for my convenience.
They even let my kiddo (a budding artist) check out the screen printing machines in back.
Good people! I support using these guys 100%! You should too!

i recommended RR for a friend’s wedding poster design and printing. the bride explained to me that she wasnt happy with the original colors on the poster as there was some miscommunication in the chaos of wedding planning, etc… anyways, i learned of this at 6pm on wedding eve and knew that i had to help the bride out, so i called JJ @ RR and he met me at the shop at 10pm to revamp the posters. needless to say, i left at 1am with posters in hand and ready to deliver for the wedding the next day. the bride was so very happy wit the end result, and i thank JJ for going the extra mile for my friend’s biggest day!

I had to have a bunch of posters printed in pinch. These guys made it happen. Simply put:
* Very professional
* Great communication — Clarke fielded every e-​mail and phone call courteously and in a timely manner
* Very cooperative — Had to have these posters delivered, and it was hassle-​free
The part that floored me, was that there was an irredeemable mistake (on our end), and JJ and Clarke made damage control stress-​free and painless.
Couldn’t have been happier with my experience. Highly recommended!

We were looking for a local Austin printing business to help us design AND print a bunch of merchandise for our movie, Merch Girl. We contacted Rural Rooster and not only did they respond promptly, they were genuinely excited to work and collaborate on this project with us.
JJ hand-​drew a font/​logo, and designed our poster, which must have been a challenge since we just threw a bunch of ideas at him, and he make it work.
In the end we got a bunch of shirts, post cards, coozies & posters, and we love them all. We will definitely be coming back to Rural Rooster for any future print/​design needs!

I was looking for a local company in Austin, TX to help me with my logo and with screen printed apparel. I found Rural Rooster online and I am so thankful I did.
I truly enjoyed working with Rural Rooster. Everyone was very friendly. I especially loved working with Audrey. Audrey is the person who first responded to my inquiry via email. Her quick replies and friendly tone in her emails sold me on going with Rural Rooster. When I met with her she was just as kind in person as she was communicating by email. So kudos to her!
Jonathan also helped me with my order. He provided quick responses to my inquires and questions. So kudos to him!
They provided me with a good quote, they worked on my logo, provided me with proofs, the proofs sparked a new idea for my logo, they were open to using a logo created by my friend and they were quick to make the changes I requested.
My kids and i are happy with the product as well, not just the service. They made the whole process easy and quick. I recommend this place.

We went through this place to get some T-​Shirts for our fantasy football league after multiple years using a different shop in town that seems to have shut down.
The quality of the printing was atrocious, it was worse than using an iron on, after the first wash colors has bled and parts of the outline were actually flaking off. While I understand that our 20 shirt order is not a big order there is a standard that should be set for all orders.
The only positives about the experience was that they got our order done on time (although I would have rather waited for higher quality), and they did discount the shirts after we complained.
Do not fall for the slick website, the work is mediocre. Do as I will do next year and find a different shop.

I contacted this local printing service to make custom t-​shirts for a festival the first week in May and was assured the order of about 100 t-​shirts would be ready for Memorial Day weekend. When I contacted them the week before to ask for a proof to approve, they said they would have one to me by the end of that week. It wasn’t until the Wednesday before the festival that I sent another email and finally got a reply with a proof early Thursday morning (t-​shirts should have already been done that day). The original proof they sent me was not what I asked for or sent pictures of and failed to tell me in earlier emails that moving the locations of the graphics would cost more. They admitted that they got «confused» on who was assigned to do my artwork, meaning they forgot!
Friday, the day before the festival, I was anticipating picking them up early afternoon to avoid rush hour and Memorial Day traffic from one end of town to the other. They told me the order wouldn’t be done until after 5pm. I get an email around 4:30pm for the invoice and then at 6pm, I get a phone call saying its going to be another 30 – 45 minutes. When I showed up at 6:45pm, the only guy working late, Lewis said it was going to take at least another hour. I was so frustrated and stressed out and told him I was not going to come back in an hour. He willingly said he would bring the t-​shirts to the opposite side of town when they were done. Thank goodness for Lewis, that’s really the only thing I can say positively about this place.
All in all it was upsetting that I place such an order from a local business that I was trying to support for them to forget my order and then not even stay that evening to make sure that the job got done, but were in a hurry to send me the invoice!
