History

Established in 2012.

The concept of SherpaLux came about because we believe that Austin has so many jewels to offer and many visitors are never given the opportunity to enjoy them. Whether it is our great restaurants, great nightlife and live music scene, or the countless daytime adventures waiting to be explored, Austin is an experience waiting for you to enjoy. SherpaLux realizes that everyone wants to have a good time, but many people don’t enjoy planning or taking care of the details. That’s where SherpaLux comes in. What an incredible day we had touring the wineries with Joseph!!! What a great way for 10 of us to enjoy my birthday! Joseph was very curtious, professional, as well as having a great attitude! The bonus was the awesome pictures he took along the way. The van was very clean and comfortable, we apologise for all the glitter we left! Thank you Joseph and look forward to our next adventure! We will only use his services in the future!

After the recent flooding in TX forced me to cancel my planned tubing trip for my friends bachelorette weekend I scrambled to find another fun day trip. Being from Colorado and never having visited Austin wasn’t sure which company to choose. I called Joseph at the very last minute and he took the time to walk me through all of our options and suggested a winery tour. He sent me his suggested locations as well as some options for alternate brewery/​distillery stops. I didn’t have a thing to worry about.
Joseph arrived early with a cooler for us to pack our roadies and snacks and we were on our way. He also acted as the trip photographer so we could relax and enjoy our time. He took us to some great spots and even offered to make additional (liquor store, grocery store etc) stops on the way home knowing we did not have a rental car for the weekend. He could not have been more accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable.
I would absolutely recommend this service if you want a pain free booking experience and top notch customer service.

My husband surprised my for my birthday with a culinary tour adventure in Austin!
My friends were waiting at the Van close by my home and we went to three different places. We had appetizers at first one, main meal at second one, and in the last stop we had dessert and a personalized cake, with life music. In each stop I a received something, flowers, birthday card, spa gift card. Each restaurant had a personalized menu with my name. I loved all the little details
The experience was great & fun! We all had a blast, and we were really impressed by the way it was organized.
This company did an amazing job, the tour was perfectly organized and they were very detailed to make sure we enjoyed the experience.
They also accommodated all our requests.
100% recommend this company for any personal or corporate event!

I am writing a review for Joseph even though I did not use his services. I emailed 6 car transportation service providers in the Austin area in preparation for my bachelorette party. The responses I received (if i received one at all) were very impersonal. Even though Joseph was already booked for the date and time I requested he went above and beyond to try and work with my schedule and basically said if he couldnt take care of my group he would make sure someone would. Joseph came across as very caring and thoughtful in my communication with him. He is someone I would definitely recommend if you are looking for transportation for a group.

Joseph is awesome!!! I hosted a Bachelorette Party this Labor Day weekend with 10 other ladies in attendance! I needed a reliable, safe way to get all of us from Downtown Austin to Lake Travis and back again… SherpaLux came to our rescue! Joseph picked us up and helped load all of our ice chests! I wish we had used SherpaLux more throughout our stay, and definitely will next time! I highly recommend them when planning your trip to Austin! Thanks again Joseph!

Joseph is amazing! I planned my best friend’s bachelorette party for a weekend in Austin and Joseph was the best. He was very professional, affordable, and always showed up promptly, in themed attire to boot! He was very easy to work with & very easy to coordinate with as he was always available through text and/​or phone. On top of that, we enjoyed having him around! I highly recommend for any large groups trying to coordinate any event (s). He also offers planning help as well, and if I had known earlier, would have signed him on without a doubt.

Joe is as good as it gets. Was down in Austin for my brothers bachelors party and not only was Joe the cheapest in town, he drove and waited for us patiently as we tried to assemble 13 guys to get from downtown austin to lake travis. He was timely, quick and extremely polite. It also didn’t hurt that we got driven around in a mercedes van. Joe is a professional, and I would use him 100 times over. Thanks for the best service around.

Joseph is the best! I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to spread the word about the fantastic service, professionalism and hospitality that SherpaLux and Joseph offer. I was planning a weekend getaway to Austin for seven people and wanted a hassle free, reliable way to get around on Saturday night, especially since we needed to drive far out from Downtown Austin to eat at Uchiko and then come back to go out on Rainey Street. From the moment I contacted Joseph, he was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. He was right on time picking us up and was kind enough to take our pictures and tell us interesting things about Austin during our drive. Our dinner ran much longer than expected, but Joseph waited very patiently to take us to our next stop. He was extremely nice and professional. I would definitely book Joseph again and recommend him without hesitation to anyone was wants to have a smooth experience getting around Austin. Thank you so much Joseph for making our night go so well!

Joseph was fabulous!!! He was our driver and was on time with everything, and extremely patient with us when we weren’t– as you can imagine with 10 ladies! I organized my sister’s bachelorette and wanted to be sure to get the best transportation possible that would allow us to drink while we went from one place to the next. Joseph was friendly and took pictures of our group for us. A few of the ladies needed to go back and get IDs and he was super flexible with giving a extra rides as we needed. It just made the whole night a blast and carefree!
Also his prices were the best for what we needed. I would definitely use him again for another event!!! Highly recommended

I LOVE JOSEPH! I have to tell you, this man was my savior last night. I was hosting a bachelorette party this weekend and we had already been stood up by Austin Yellow Cab on Friday night, so I wanted to make sure we had RELIABLE and safe transportation around downtown Austin for Saturday night. (Not to get too into it, but I despise Austin Yellow Cab. I am constantly stood up by these SOBs.)
At the last minute, he was able to pick the 6 of us up in a 15 passenger van, provided bar ideas all around Austin, brought a cooler full of water, and was no more than a text and 5 minutes away all night (I don’t have any idea where he went, but he never went far!). AND he brought his own fancy camera and took flattering and fun photos of us (which, trust me, are much more Facebook appropriate than anything we took ourselves).
He was flexible, reliable, laid back, fun, caring, responsive, and completely awesome. Not only did he have to deal with 6 obnoxious, screaming girls falling in and out of his van all night long, but he did it with a smile.
I called around 5 other companies before I found SherpaLux and he was the most fairly priced, by far. So much so, I gave him a 50% tip (and a hug) because the dude deserved it!
Thank you Joseph! You are on my speed dial. :)

Austin Texas! For the price of most one-​way cab rides, I rode in comfort to where locals hangout, had super awesome food, a drink (I had a beer) and a ride back to my hotel. If you can one up that I’d like to hear about it! Oh my tour was during the day. I was told that they do custom tours at night. I plan to give that a shot too look for my review.

Our friends surprised us with a party bus rental from Joseph at SherpaLux for our bachelorette party. We had a fantastic time, and he planned the whole thing for us. With the opening weekend of SXSW plus the pouring rain, I was a bit skeptic as to how much fun we would have, but he altered the itinerary of stops so we’d stay out of the rain, and had reserved tables at each place for us. We even had a last-​minute change of plans at our last stop, and he was completely flexible. He kept the music pounding and upbeat, and the alcohol (and water) flowing. The guy has my respect — a bus-​full of screaming, almost-​drunk girls has to get tiring to deal with, but he was smiling and happy the whole time, and took care of all the details for us. It was a night none of us will forget, and Joseph and SherpaLux made it memorable!
