This is MY Sonic! I love the staff and how much they care! Of course there’s the occasional visit where they are swamped and things don’t go as quickly but that’s life. They’re not magic but they’re close! :) I literally go here every day for my tea :) … I choose this location over the one at the Y and in Dripping.

Bad customer service, you’re better off going to the Sonic in Dripping Springs!

DATE: 7÷6÷13 After a day in the Texas heat of Austin, shopping Wal-Marts and Best Buy, you’re sure to want a drink from Sonic. Yesterday, I pulled up to this Sonic. Wanting the following, Route 44 Blue Cocaunt, Route 44 grape slush, and route 44 strawberry limeade. We press the ”magic red button”, only to hear Samuel L. Jackson. Here is the conversation. Samuel L. Jackson: ”Hello, Welcome to sonic, how may I help you? Me: ”Yes, I would like a Route 44 blue cocanut.” Samuel L. Jackson: ”OK, that will be 2.22 thanks” Wait, what the hell happened? Exactly. We decided to press the button again. New sonic lady: ”Welcome to Sonic, how may I help you?” Me: ”Yes, I ordered a Route 44 blue cocaunt slush a while back.” (Samuel L. Jackson comes back on.) Samuel: ”YESSIR?” Me: Uh, yeah we would like to add some drinks. Samuel: Is this a new ticket or adding on to the last one? Me: We’re adding. If it’s OK, we’re going to start the order all over. Samuel: Go ahead. Me: All right, a route 44 blue cocanut. Samuel: Is this a second blue cocaunt? Me: NO, I’M STARTINGTHEORDEROVER. Samuel: OK, GOAHEAD! (Sees lady, coming to our car.) Me: Nevermind, she is already here. (After more boring talking, we ended up getting the other two drinks free.) PROS: Good Drinks CONS: HORRIBLESERVICE OVERALL: 2/5, one star for free drinks, another for the drinks tasting good.

Drive through service is slow, the window workers will flat out ignore you for upwards of 5 minutes. They don’t even hand you your drinks or acknowledge you till your order is complete. You just sit there like an idiot for five or more minutes. When you get back to work, the wrong burger, wrong condiments, or completely wrong order await you! Sonic strives to tell you about how awesome they are with all the different combinations you can order. They don’t tell you that the people working the drive through don’t give a shit about what you request, they make it how they feel! Not only that, if you have a pickup truck(I know it’s RARE in Dripping Springs to have a truck) they can’t even tell you are waiting! So not only will you wait five or more minutes once they take your order, but you’ll wait a few minutes for them to even acknowledge you want to place an order! Idiots.

Very friendly and quick service. Excellent cherry limeade slush. I’d rate them higher, except I’ve rarely had food here and their hours have been hit or miss at times.

I am only here for the drinks… the Sonic ice… and the Grilled Chicken combo with Jalapenos and tater tots with no salt… and the Extreme Tator Tots… and the frozen mocca and… well, you get my point.

Totally understaffed. I cannot tell you how long I waited just to place my order but it was crazy. I’m not sure what was going on with the car in front of me but they brought my food out to me(while the person at the window was still waiting), even though I was in the drive in lane. I ordered a wholly guacamole dog — NOGUAC. By then, I was so exasperated with the whole situation, I gave up. Very disappointing.

A fast and friendly Sonic. The food is the same as any Sonic, not healthy but tasty. I like the massive drink menu and recommend iced tea with peach and raspberry added.

Yes, I am reposting this freaking review because Unilocal,in its stupidity, moved it, thinking it was an edited version of another review I’ve written of a sonic’s in another freaking county and zip code. Well, its not that one. OK? This one, here in Hays County, is a damn fine Sonic’s. OK? It has a freaking drive-through and its near my freakin house. And virtually NOTHING is near my freakin’ house. ok? (Deep breath) ok, I’ll proceed…(to copy my other review) Normally, I’m not a Sonic’s fan because of the weirdness about encouraging people to sit in idling cars in the parking lot which is an environmental disaster, not to mention the whole tipping conundrum. But, but this Sonic opened up right near my house and it has a DRIVE-THROUGH! and its super speedy, to boot. Wooo Wooooo! It is clean and shiny and pretty and all the employees are super-duper nice. I like the happy hour — from 2 to 4, half-priced drinky-drinks! Their burgers are passable(barely). Their tater tots are good. Their chili-cheese tater tots are ethereal. Their corn dog is yummo and is only .99. I swear I went through the drive-in today and the person taking my order was so happy and positive and friendly, I just wanted to order half the menu. Well, I kind of did, but it only cost me $ 12! Yay happy hour! ok, its a sonic, so it should only get 2 stars. But — attitude really does help, as does the drive in and my discovery of chili cheese tator tots. So, lets call it a four star sonics, measured up against other sonics. ok? This is like an über-sonics.(maybe its a super Sonics!)
