Seriously, the very best baristas work here. Starbucks is so hit or miss and the quality is variable to the location, however this one is gold and I frequent this location at least 3x a week. The beverages are consistent and you won’t find friendlier, cooler people anywhere else.

It’s a Starbucks. Pretty typical: friendly baristas, decent coffee and food, small, gets super crowded. Best part about this one? There’s a PARKINGLOT. Austin miracle.

My husband and I live two blocks from here so we are frequent visitors — and by frequent I mean almost daily. This location is usually pretty busy, especially since it is right across from Whole Foods and it has a private parking lot(a commodity in downtown!). The staff is usually pretty friendly, but I think the turnover must be high because I constantly see new people working here.

I frequent this Starbucks often and it’s always a positive experience. However, this morning while I was drinking my trenta green tea I sipped up plastic wrap. While I know this was a simple mistake it was extremely disgusting and potentially harmful for my health. I will definitely be more careful when drinking drinks from this location.

For the second time in a row visiting this store my order was taken wrong and not read back and when I got it wrong at the end the barrista was obviously unhappy to have to remake it. I’d now assume I need to modify the way I request my order, but I get the same thing all over town with no issue. It wouldn’t bother me terribly, but the barrista being a jerk about it is rude and unnecessary. It was your guy who made the mistake. The coffee is fine when it’s right.

This Starbucks can be really hit or miss. I usually stop by at about 7:15 on my way to work and sometimes there is a huge line, sometimes there is nobody there. The other day I ordered a tall americano… just like I always do. Somehow the guy putting this in to the computer put in a tall latte. When I told the barista that was not what I ordered he looked incredibly annoyed as he dramatically dumped the latte into the sink. He proceeded to make me my americano and then I politely asked about the fact that I had apparently been charged for a latte. The other employee/cashier/apparently not a barista person politely refunded my starbucks card for their mistake. The whole experience left a very bad impression in my mind.

Very limited seating, which leads to «lurkers»(aka: «those of human descent which lurk over another humans shoulder in an attempt to subtly prod them out of their chair»). Choice is consistent, staff is awesome.

A short, mousy blonde decided that she perceived it professional to yell and wave her stupid hand in the air, «Hey girl!» to solicit my attention to be the next customer in line. When I asked her, «Did you just say«hey girl»? She replied, «Yes, is there something wrong with that?» Starbucks, please remind you staff about professionalism. Thanks in advance.

I’ve trotted to this location a few times because its convenient and close to the office. but.they’ .god. com’on corporate baristas — let’s stop the«I’m too good for you» façade and double check the order. If I’m paying extra to have a syrup flavoring to my already overpriced drink, I should have it, right? Right? I usually don’t start drinking until after I’ve left the store and am long gone. I can’t ever justify going back to have them fix it. But seriously. The cashier writes the order on the cup for a reason. Read it. Bad customer service and mediocre coffee. This is why I try to frequent local coffee shops.

I got a very big Seattle vibe from this particular Starbucks. It’s a somewhat busy location and even on a Sunday they were packed to capacity so I can only imagine that during the week with all the businesses around, they should be a popular spot but then again, their staff know what they’re doing. Even though I only saw two people working, even while I was in line, the Barista asked what I wanted so he could start my order. It seems like the polite and logical thing to do but it’s surprising how few Starbucks employees do that. I’ve only seen that done in smaller Starbuckseses and in Seattle, but it’s a stark contrast to some places where they are almost annoyed that you came and they let the line go to the door(*cough*, 24 hour Starbucks in Houston). Other notes, surprised to find a big parking lot that close to downtown…

First time I went customer service was great and I thought the store was nice. Then one time one Barista got a nasty attitude with me when I did not here her call out my name because it was so damn loud so after waiting a while I asked what beverages where waiting on the counter because its been a while so she told me «well what does it say on the label?» Come to find out they put the wrong name on my cup. She was rude and nasty. This location is very crowded now. Barely any room to walk through. You will wait in a long line and wait a while for your coffee. You have to many damn people taking up space making this starbucks their office or conference room and most of them are loud and obnoxious.

I’m all about the coffee, and today I had a great cup of joe. The atmosphere was great for this cold day and was perfect for getting caught up on work. The staff had smiles and were friendly and worth going back. My favorite Starbucks in town.

Pros: They do have coffee and other caffeinated beverages Location is great For this area, parking is great. you don’t have to resort to street parking Cons: AC cannot keep up with the sun. Storefront is all windows with no blinds/shades. It’s hot. Wifi is terribly slow.

Hands down, the best Starbucks I’ve ever been to and I moved here from Seattle. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and you can tell they all get along. They do a phenomenal job of working the lines in the morning and rush hours, so don’t be scared if you see a long line-this crew can handle it! If you become a regular, they treat you like royalty… :)

I want to personally thank the guy who told the lady with the Yorkie that she could not have a dog in the store this morning(4÷26÷13). I’m truly sick of Austinites taking their nasty dogs everywhere in this city. Thanks Starbucks guy. You are my hero.

This is one of my favourite Starbucks in the whole world. Great ambiance. Very clean bathrooms, huge plus. Others complaining about seating, tables, and lines I can’t contrast/compare with. I always get it to go, and have yet to see a Starbucks with seats to fit adults over 5’7 and lines less than 3 ahead of me. So that’s pretty normal to me. Parking DOES suck, but usually I’m popping over from Anthro shopping or Whole Foods, so I’m usually already parked.

Ambiance, it was nice and quiet. May have even been as quiet as a library, with the exception of the espresso machines. The line got a little long, like 16 people(i counted), but seeing that i didn’t order anything, nor did i wait in it, no complaints there. This Starbucks seemed to have a generous amount of plugs, just not ergonomically correct, as i was sitting in a lounge chair, with my cord over and under the window bar area; not a good look; dangerous for someone passing by. Their connection proved to be pretty fast. As of late, Starbucks’ connection usually is pretty slow, but maybe it wasn’t too many people streaming, and or surfing. I’d definitely revisit this location the next time i’m in town.

As far as Bucks go, this one is about as good as it gets. The Baristas are friendly(all excpet one) and they try to actually remember your drink which is impressive given that this place is ALWAYS packed. If you want to grab a table to work, be prepared to wait or sit outside(you know, in November-March when it’s not a thousand out there.) They get high marks for consistency(thank you corporate chain) and for local Austin art on the wall and they always have parking. The only drawback to this location is that there are not enough wall plugs. Check it out and try a Passion Tea Lemonade w. sugar-free Vanilla — DEE-LISH!
