I treat a wide variety of behavior issues but my specialties include: fearful dogs, shy dogs, fear aggression, socialization, natural communication, off-​leash training.

Understanding and communication are fundamental elements to achieving an emotionally close relationship. Using common sense and simple, dog friendly techniques, we will focus on these elements in order to strengthen the foundation that your relationship is built on.

Group classes are rolling admission. I offer a no-​commitment Orientation Group Class every week. I offer Private In-​Home Training within Austin city limits. Training outside of Austin limits may incur an additional fee.

I never use shock/​e-​collars on dogs. Whomever you choose as a trainer, I recommend you do not allow the use of a shock collar under any circumstances. Email me for more info!

History

Established in 2002.

Started out as a dog walker in New York City and then created Petato Pet Services in Brooklyn before eventually moving to Austin. I consider my biggest dog behavior education to have come from thousands of hours supervising dog play groups in daycares. Watching how they interact, studying body language, observing how each individual coped with various situations. Once you open yourself up, begin listening to the dog and recognizing that she is a living, breathing being with emotions and feelings not unlike your own, the relationship will improve dramatically for both of you.
