History

Established in 1902.

Stewart & Stevenson, established in Houston, Texas in 1902, provides products that fulfill the needs of business and industry. In 1959 Stewart & Stevenson became a dealer for Hyster industrial forklifts to serve the material handling industry. Over the years we added the material handling products of Manitou, Cushman, UTILEV and Stewart & StevensonÕs patented Rail King railcar movers. Today our material handling solutions serve the Port and Rail, Pipeline and Oilfield, Heavy Manufacturing, Warehousing and Distribution markets. We offer more than 130 Hyster models configured for gasoline, LPG, diesel or electric power in capacity ranges from 2,000 to 105,000 lbs; Manitou rough terrain forklifts, Cushman electric industrial vehicles and gas or electric utility vehicles, UTILEV utility trucks for light to medium-​duty operating environments, and Rail King railcar movers in single and double-​coupled versions. In addition, we are a turnkey supplier of automated warehouse management systems.
