I’ve never had an issue that would prompt me to complain about a motel 6, ever… UNTILNOW. I checked in and made the mistake of running into my room and dropping my bags off to run errands. Upon my return around 10pm or so, I discovered an Ant trail wrapping around the room, toward the fridge and into the bathroom. I figured no problem they’re only ants. Then I found a caterpillar like creature in a spider web attached to the refrigerator door and wall. Yes still alive. Still not too much of an issue. My assumption was that the room has been vacant for a period of time. Yes, poor excuse but still. The most important thing was the bed, so I proceeded to check it and sadly I found numerous hairs, some over 3 inches long, and stains on the sheets. Of course, the clincher was the live roach hanging out on the bed stand at the head of the bed waiting for my midnight snack to appear. Needless to say, this wasn’t going to fly.(I did attribute the insects to the overflowing trash to the right of my entry door.) So I gathered my items and went to the lobby which happen to be closed. I used the courtesy phone outside to contact the night service. I mentioned my insect issue briefly and that I need to change rooms. He stated that he’ll contact management. The interesting part… Manager shows up and says … «so you’re locked out»…i replied… «uh no, I need to change rooms as there are roaches, ants, dirty sheets in this one»… Mgr states… «oh I thought you were locked out»…“you will have to wait till morning to change rooms”…I replied… «you expect me to sleep in a roach, insect infested room, on poorly washed sheets»…Mgr states… «uh you will have to wait till morning to change rooms sir»…this is where I heard the crickets outside laughing at me… I said…“oh kay”… and we parted ways.(Fortunately mobile phones record even when in your pocket) :) While I’m standing outside the lobby on my mobile phone with a reservations supervisor(needless to say I never went back to my room) I see Mr MGR(Main Goofball Rep) approaching, so I mention to the supervisor on the phone that«…he has returned, so I’ll see what transpires». Mr MGR then offers a room change.(gee what a novel concept) First room… he opens the door and… BOOM I say… «wow cigarette smoke»…MGR …“no we’re a smoke free motel”… as I look up and notice the plastic grocery bag & towel covering the smoke detector(i should have taken a pic at that time) I ignore the smoke smell and check the bed. Yep, even more hair’s than the first… So off to room #2 … this room had hairs in bed and blood stains in bath tub… so(exhausted at this point and just wanting to get to bed) I said…“I’ll take Marlboro door #1″… Sort of felt like a Let’s Make a Deal episode. We go back to the«Marlboro room» and MGR walks over and removes the plastic bag & towel cover off of the smoke detector… The funny thing… the house cleaning peeps didn’t even notice. Did you not smell the smoke people? Absolutely pathetic… this isn’t a case of «when the cats away»… Both the GM(Goofball Manager) and MGR are well aware of this location’s condition, and if they aren’t they shouldn’t have those positions. GM…please don’t post an «apology» for my experience. Just do your job… properly. If Corporate is strangling your wages/production/revenue that tightly that customers experience this, then perhaps someone needs to knock on Tom Bodell’s door and have him turn off some lights and send the proceeds your way for more support staff. Btw… stop overloading the washing machines so the sheets actually clean. …

From the outside, this place looks nice. Even the lady staff at the front desk were nice. We got to our room and the first thing we noticed was a disgusting smell, like old Chinese food. At first glance the room looked«clean» but upon further inspection it looked like the didn’t even clean from the last residents. There were splatters of food on the wall, squished bugs, the bathtub hadn’t been cleaned. It’s pretty pathetic that I had to clean my own motel room just to feel comfortable. The drains were clogged, I couldn’t even take a propper shower without the bathtub filling up because it wouldn’t drain. The WiFi is horrible! If you can even connect to it… And I couldn’t get any cellphone reception in my room. The type of people that stay here are ridiculous. screaming and fighting, slamming doors, very loud. I felt very uncomfortable and had to ask neighbors to quite down in the middle of the night. This place is way overpriced for what they give you, I’ve stayed at a studio 6 in el Paso for half the price that was much nicer!

When we first arrived we were assigned a room that needed cleaning. Bed wasn’t made and soaps were used. But they fixed that right away. Has fridge and stove and bowls, glasses pots and pans. I think this would be ideal for an extended stay, highly recommended

This place is disgusting! There are roaches in the room and the sheets were dirty! We killed about 5 roaches in less than and hour. Never coming here again!

Stay away. The attractive northwest location and low rates do not make up for the woeful state of this property. My rating is based on more than one visit(I’m a slow learner) and consistently poor accommodations. Broken mirrors, dirty carpets, worn-out furnishings, and some questionable clientele are apparently the norm here. Do yourself a favor and try the extended stay deluxe on Gracy Farms for a drastic improvement in a longer-term suite-style hotel with only a modest increase in the price.
