History
Established in 2010.
Seeing friends, family and other business owners overwhelmed by the seemingly endless social media outlets, I launched Tailwind Social Media Management in July of 2010 as a way for small businesses to outsource social media marketing needs. My thought was that with all the hats a small business owner wears throughout the daily operations of his or her business, developing and executing a social media marketing strategy may not be high on their list of priorities. Yet, for survival and longevity in this increasingly consumer-engaging and socially-dependent marketplace, social media is an ESSENTIAL component of a profitable marketing campaign.
Social media gives customers a megaphone to shout about your company to their social networks. What are they saying about YOU?

Heather B.
Business Owner
Hi! I’m Heather, Social Media Strategist and Owner of Tailwind Social Media Management. I have over six years experience in Marketing and Communications, beginning with my B.A. from the University of New Hampshire in Communications and most recently as Marketing Director for a private insurance company. To complement work experience, I have run the gamete with internships; handling publicity for an independent record label, writing copy and setting print advertisements for an advertising and public relations agency, and marketing San Diego as a prime location for conventions and corporate meetings with the San Diego Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
I grew up being surrounded by social networking applications, originally as a way to keep tabs on friends and be in the know for the latest party or social gossip. In the past two years, I have been on the inner circle of the social media explosion; Truly experiencing how strong its influence has become in the corporate world.
