History

Established in 2008.

Austin entrepreneurs Kevin Koym and Jonas Lamis founded Tech Ranch Austin with a shared the desire to help technology entrepreneurs «take it to the next level.» After creating their own ventures, they noticed an absence of support for entrepreneurs resulting in potential to go unrealized. Driven by the need for more community, Kevin and Jonas remembered the persistent pain that all entrepreneurs experience and shifted focus toward bringing entrepreneurs together into large networks.

Personally and professionally, Kevin Koym is defined by his ability to inspire both individuals and businesses to seize the technological and social revolution on the horizon in order to better their community as well as their profit potential. The key roles Kevin has played in a variety of startups throughout his life have enabled him to fine-​tune his ability to replicate the success of helping entrepreneurs build what they never thought as possible before.

Our startup is renting space here. The location is fantastic. People seem to strike a perfect balance between minding their own business while still being open and friendly.
Operations Manager Severine Cushing is a top-​notch professional who goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that everything and everyone is well taken care of and the place is running smoothly.
The only real drawback is that currently it’s difficult to find a quiet, private place to have a phone conversation, but I understand they are looking to put in some sort of phone booth that will address that issue.

Awesome place! We’ve used the co-​working area on occasion and the community has been warm and welcoming and the staff awesome. Severine really went above and beyond to help us out when we had an issue. Will continue coming here.

I have been to Tech Ranch for Campfires often. It has been really helpful for me. I learned to tell what my business does in a clear and consise way. I learned different markets for my business that I had not thought about. I connected to some really interesting and helpful people.
I also like their philosophy. Rarely does someone succeed alone, but it is extremely difficult. We need each other and Tech Ranch is a great place to meet some supportive people.

Tech Ranch Austin has hosted my annual blogging event, BlogathonATX, for the past three years. The open layout is beautiful, flexible and comfortably fits our 100 attendees. There’s plenty of space to spread out with our laptops, participate in sessions, eat lunch and socialize. The staff is always willing to go the extra mile and help us with our very specific requirements. We look forward to another successful event at Tech Ranch in October. I highly recommend this space!

Tech Ranch Austin — if you’re an entrepreneur, this is the place to be. Strong community of early and veteran entrepreneurs who is willing to help each other to take their business to the next level. The Co-​working is cool also, but I would suggest looking into the Venture Start or Venture Forth programs. Hit up the free networking events also like Campfire.

I recently graduated from Venture Forth 22 cohort. This was a great class to take your startup to the next level. They teach you all the hats you have to wear as an entrepreneur from financials to sales. It was amazing to sit around people so willing to lend a hand. I will miss the class, but plan to continue with alumni groups.

I am an alumni of the 22nd Venture Forth program. VF is designed to help develop and support the Entrepreneur through the process of launching a startup.
I found the culture of the Techranch was it’s biggest asset. This is a community of entrepreneur’s who help one another to succeed in their ventures through a process of making specific requests of the community and being available to provide unique expertise or connections to others.
I’d recommend the Techranch to others. They offer a variety of programs depending on where you are in your journey. Some programs are free networking events if you are looking for a place to get started.

Here for my second visit to BlogathonATX! Great venue for a meeting or gathering of 100 or so peeps. This venue is a super meeting space, and would definitely use it again.
