I had a fantastic experience here as they were ever so nice and helpful. I was putting together a package for a person who likes «Hello Kitty» and sour candy and found a lot of the latter but none of the former. They pointed out where some of their Sanrio stuff was located, while apologizing because they don’t get it in consistently (a Sanrio problem, not theirs). They even referred me to another local store if I wanted more variety. When I explained that I was buying the items as part of my monthly swap is to include something local, the young lady at the register grabbed me a hand-​drawn bag and put two «Terra Toys» stickers in them.
I like that they have a café as it makes it a great stop for parents who need a pick-​me-​up while out shopping for/​with their kids.

Alot of interesting stuff… Good learning games and a wide assortment of toys for kids of all ages… I love taking my kids to this store and highly reccomend it…

Just Bought a gift set for my baby cousin and Lauren was so friendly and helpful with suggestions. Great to store, staff and fun unique stuff!!!

Came in for jig saw puzzles. Small selection but they do have a Keith Herring 32,000 piece puzzle for $ 300+. If I still had little kids, they would dig this place.

This is seriously the very best toy store I’ve been to in a long time.
The selection, organization, and service here were all excellent.
I stopped in looking for some Texas-​centric things to take back with me to Seattle. (I’m from Austin originally.) and while I didn’t find anything in that skein, I found quite a few other things I didn’t know existed at the time.
Also, (and here’s the fifth star) there’s an espresso bar in the back of the store that has really good espresso. The person manning that espresso bar knew when the coffee was roasted, what the source of the beans were, and was very genial.

This place is great. The staff is super helpful and I always walk out of here with something that the kids love. My only issue with them is that they don’t sell Legos. Argh.

Such a great local toy store. Honestly, it is fun to just go and window shop. It is a bit pricey which is expected but you can find some pretty unique things here. I highly recommend it!

This place is a blast! It reminds me of the toy stores I used to go into when I was growing up — a place that provides unique ways to spark imagination and creativity. The have a great selection of «out of the ordinary» gifts. I spent ten minutes just browsing through the science experiment wall! Oh and the employees there are fun and friendly! Enjoy!

What an awesome store!
It’s not too often that you’d find me in a toy store but I had 2 purposes today: to get a little something extra for my niece for her birthday and to find something for the Toys for Tots drive we are doing at work. I saw several great reviews on this place from Unilocal friends and couldn’t wait to check it out!
This store if really a delight for several reasons… one being that the staff are super helpful and knowledgeable about the store ~ they seem to really have a passion for it. Two, there is a wide variety of things from kids clothing to legos to stuffed animals to all kinds of little toys like different kinds of erasers, windup toys, candy… the list goes on.
I found a cute little car for my niece (yes, she loves cars) and a little paint project for girls (staff pick) as well as a really cool little projector thing that projects stories of animals on the wall (staff pick).
I think the coolest thing ever was the bag they gave me ~ painted by a child, Terra Toys buys them from them and then uses them to bag the toys ~ brilliant!

This place is the best toy store in town. The inventory is consistent with good additions to surprise you every time. This time the staff did a fireworks demo outside. So fun!

This is a charming toy store that has a little bit of everything for kids. From dolls to science to magic to blocks to music… this place focuses on the timeless classics that often gets overlooked by a place like Toys R Us, which is occupied with always updating its stock to reflect whatever the kids are into at the moment. Here, you might find something you were into as a kid but thought was discontinued or something.
My favorite thing — there’s an adjacent sweets/​coffee shop that you can enter through the toy store, and they have a Zoltar fortune teller, like from the Tom Hanks movie «Big». I was standing there just looking at it and it called out to me to come closer. I got a kick out that, but then one of the employees jokingly expressed amazement at how it could call out to me, since the machine was unplugged. I looked down, and there was an electric cord protruding from beneath the machine. So hilarious!
I really dig this place.

I love toy stores and I feel that it is super unfortunate that I only rarely find myself browsing one. Why is that? It’s sad really.
As far as Terra Toys goes, though, they have repeatedly proven themselves to be a fine establishment wherein I have found super awesome and neat things for everyone on my list. Need a toy for a baby shower? Came in and discovered Zoobies. Need a funky and unique stuffed animal for a little girl who has lots of stuffed animals? Walked in and browsed the zoo and found just what I was looking for. Have no idea what to get your friend’s one year old who probably got every top toy and other mainstream gift already? Came in and browsed the unique baby and kid’s clothes, as well as a really cool toy section that includes vintage and solid looking wooden toys, and things I’ve seen nowhere else. I ended up purchasing a super cute Deer named Blanche who was wearing a pretty little dress. She’s made by a company in France. It was absolutely perfect!
This store is comprehensive. I love coming here during Halloween and walking through their massive display when I enter the store. There’s endless wonder in here, from big kids to little kids, from collectors to readers to gamers. And now they’ve opened up a super neat café adjoining their main space. Although we didn’t have time time to hop into the café to get something, I’m thinking we might need to go back for that.
Customer service at Terra Toys has always been fantastic as well. Free gift wrap and the people at the counter are fun, with a silly sense of humor — and when I leave, I always secretly hope some of that energy has rubbed off on me so that I can bring a little of Terra with me. All in all, it is always a pleasure to go in here whether to browse, find something spectacular and memorable to give to others, or to just get silly. Five stars easily earned.

My favorite toy store in all of Austin! This is a toy store even adults like to hang out at. You find toys that aren’t sold anywhere else. There are everything you need here: sport toys, books, stuffed animals, board games and so on! The salespeople are incredibly nice. Unlike other places, I feel completely comfortable letting my kid play with the toys. The staff even dress up in fun costumes, some with pirate hats, other with funny hats etc! Some even walk around with cat puppets letting children pet it.
We come hang out here all the time because there is a little table where we can read books, they have a tactical table out, little shopping carts kids push around and a doll house.
If you ask them to wrap a gift, they put it in a bag that children have colored. It looks fantastic!
Last but not least, they expanded and added an area where you can buy coffee and sit!!! Yay!

This place is magical! Every time we turned a new corner had us ooh-​ing and ahh-​ing. There were a plethora of small figurines, stuffed toys, unique candy, dollhouse miniatures, rare handmade items, intricate Russian nesting dolls, a coffee shop, art gallery, and way more! All in this one store. If this store carried half the items it does, I would’ve still written a five-​star review. The employees here were great fun, one man kept showing us cool things and they all seemed to really enjoy being there. I got a lot of stuff, some one-​of-​a-​kind, and it was pretty cheap. A happy, positive place to have fun :)

Okay, so we totally went in here with high hopes that this was going to be like ToyJoy.
It’s not.
BUT! If you have kids, then this place is great! It’s way better than Toys R US and for us adults it’s a great walk down memory lane. We went in and did a quick walk through the get the full feel of the store and then decided where we wanted to spend more time in the store. Bring your kids and have fun looking through everything from costumes to bug and plant discovery toys to magic and pranks to all kinds of other goodies. Lots of fun candies and there’s even an espresso bar in the back. Smelled amazing but I was heading to Epoch afterwards so I held back.

This place is super cool. They have all of these toys you forgot even existed when you were a kid. Plus they have unique and clever toys that even adults get excited about. I got some smaller stuff to keep on my desk at work for when people need a stress relief break or need to brain floss while working on a project. They’re a hit.
Recently I called an asked if they would consider donating an item or a gift card to an event I was in charge of planning for my church. It was a single mom’s event on Mother’s Day weekend.
They totally showed up in the biggest way.
They said they’d get something ready for me to pick up. I get there, tell them what I’m there to pick up, and out comes the cutest box, full of all sorts of fun things PLUS a gift card for the kids to pick out their own toys when they come in to visit. How great is that?!
I love this place, get my nephews toys here, and come back any time I need something for work or for a friend. Toys really do make people smile and Terra Toys does an extra good job of ensuring a smile.

This is a great, unique toy store with a wide selection of offerings. The store has different sections: there is an astronomy section (get your glow-​in-​the-​dark stars here!), a yo-​yo section, a game section, a large book section (don’t miss it, it’s in the back), a costume area, a Playmobile section (so much Playmobile), a dollhouse section, a doll section, a section of tiny things (stocking stuffers, hello), quirky baby/​toddler clothes section, baby section, seasonal section (love their Halloween and Christmas stuff – you WILL find Advent calendars here).
I’m leaving out a ton of stuff. There is so much stuff squeezed in here. Need a crazy hat? This is your place. (That may be seasonal… I have more luck getting crazy hats from Halloween-​Christmas).
Origami paper! Stickers! Lunch boxes! Not only is this a great place for kids, this is a great place for the hard to gift adult in your life. Lots of science stuff, too. See, it’s educational. You have to take your kids here.
They also do this cute thing where your kids can design the shopping bags. I am not sure if you have to provide your own bags or if they give you the bags (it looked like they were giving out the bags, but I haven’t verified this yet). They will pay you .05-.15 per bag. I’m hoping to have my kids do this soon. Pro-​tip: it’s not just for kids.
The people who work here have always been very helpful – in person and on the phone. When I frantically had to find a lab coat for my child (nowhere near Halloween, of course), they did not have one in stock, but they steered me right to where I could find one.

You never get too old for toys. Well, when you stop listening to others and always think you are correct (like professors) that’s not really getting too old it’s just being a non social ass hole.
Enjoyed the selection here and the staff was friendly. The Hello Kitty selection was one of the best I’ve found outside of the original location in Kyoto, Japan.
It does seem to be pricey.

or to take an adventurous girl on a date… after you eat at Hopdoddy’s right across the complex. (parking is a piece of cake)
from the creepy minatures display… to lizard goggles & unicorn hats… miniature teensy weensy pencils, you can definitely find something to entertain yourself with.
