The place is nestled in a strip plaza off parmer lane. My Wife and I first ate here in 2010 I believe. We liked the variety and quality of food. Although we loved in the area for the better part of a decade we didn’t frequent it.
I met a co-worker here 12.28.25. It was my first meal there on about 3 years. It was around lunch time and the parking lot waa packed. The place looked better than I recall, I guess they remodeled. We got a table right way. While we waited I played with a cute kid sitting with her parents. She seemed to be more interested in our table than her parents or bottle. It added to the already good atmosphere.
After each of washing up we hit the salad bar. I forgot they had one until I passed it. Basically you buy a main dish and salad plus other delicacies accompany the meal. The pork dumplings were delicious. You have to keep your eyes open for them because they disappear fast.
I had chicken fried rice and my coworker got a noodle bowl beef dish. We both really liked our meals. The whole experience was on point and I plan to return soon.

I’ve been living in Austin for three years and I love the place. Their chicken pad Thai is really good. I also recommend the panang curry or the pineapple chicken. Best deal is to go during lunch, they all you can eat appetizers (place gets crowded so go early or be prepared to wait!). There are no free appetizers with the dinner but it’s a nice environment. The staff wear traditional shirts. Oh yeah, don’t forget to order their Thai tea!

I tried almost all of the Thai restaurants in Austin and Thai Cuisine is hands down the best. Food is delicious. I tried the Papaya salad, fried tofu salad, pad kee mao and satay and all of the dishes I have tried so far were awesome. Portions are generous, not overpriced and fresh.
Service was super fast and servers were very helpful. Location is the only downside, I wish they had another branch closer to downtown. I would visit them more frequently.

The Tom Ka soup was fabulous. Made from scratch and cleared my sinuses up quickly. The coconut milk, chunks of mushrooms and chicken were superb. I really enjoyed this soup with the singha beer!
Next came the seafood combination. Honestly the soup was so good I will get the «pot» version next time but I was experimenting this go round. The combo had shrimp, squid, mussels and scallops. Spicy and I had another beer to accent the wonderful chili flavors. I do recommend the singha beer, but I do like to explore!
The combo was very good. Squid was fresh as well as the rest of the seafood. I do wish restaurants would use real sea scallops and not the sting ray punch outs. I would pay more to get the real thing. The seasoning was superb. Spicy but very flavorful. The veggies were also fresh.
Overall from my rating, you should go here. The customers are multinational and even Thai clients. The devices was great and they are very gracious.

Maybe it was what I ordered, 2 chicken items, but the Tom Ka soup («must try”-not) and the red curry both had irregularly shaped lumps of chicken with the texture of frozen chicken that was dumped into the sauces/soup. I agree with Rachel, the usual spices were not present in any great form but the curry was good and the soup, while like coconut milk mixed with chicken broth, was ok. When I cut up the chicken into small pieces, the dryness was somewhat resolved by the broth.
To be fair, the buffet looked interesting but would rather get plates hot and fresh.

Although I have been to several Thai restaurants around Austin, this place wasn’t even in my radar until I had to look for somewhere to eat close to D&B. Man, I found a gem! This restaurant has the authentic Thai tea and noodles you are looking for in Austin! I got the pad Thai, a must try according to their menu, and yes it was delicious. Though the amount of food did not compare to Madam Mams ginormous amount, it was enough to make me stuffed. I’m sure I could have been wiser and taken some to-go but it was so good I couldn’t resist! I’ll definitely be back for the other recommendations they have to offer!

It’s always good for a somewhat quick lunch. I don’t know if I’d make it a date spot, but if you’re in the area, it’s good for the price. Most lunch specials are ~$ 9.95, and all have options regarding your protein and heat level. The heat level is 1 – 3, and I wish they’d offer a 4 because I love spicy food just that much. The lunch comes with a buffet of 2 soups (1 of which was painfully bland, sadly), salad, egg rolls, spring rolls, and what seems to be a Thai style crab rangoon. They have a new-ish lemongrass dish near the bottom right of the lunch menu, and it was so good (and good looking) that another diner asked me what it was, and if they should have it. I gave them an enthusiastic ‘yes,’ and added that is was the pork, level 3.

I would recommend this place for lunch since it has a complimentary buffet which includes appetizers and dessert! Appetizers include spring rolls, egg rolls, soup, and crab rangoon. They have five or six different desserts that they put out on a rotation basis.
Their pad kee mao was alright.

I have mixed feelings about this Thai restaurant. I have been here for lunch twice now. On my first visit I ordered the panang red curry, and on my second visit I ordered the pad thai. I found my entrees, on both visits, to be a bit bland. I did not get that Thai spice I have come to love from Thai food. However, what makes me love this restaurant is the lunch time appetizer bar.
Appetizer Bar: Salad, Soups, Spring Rolls, Thai Rice Pudding, Crab Puffs, etc.
I will continue to come here for lunch, however I would not go here for dinner. The free appetizer bar is really the selling point for me here. The entrees are not worth going for if that is all you will be eating. My advice come for lunch, and skip this place at dinner.

Best Thai food in town with great panang and green curries. Basil fried rice or pineapple curry is also delicious. Spicy and delicious combinations.
Favorite items: Panang chicken curry, pork king curry, shrimp basil fried rice and salmon green curry.
Excellent desserts for those who appreciate growing up in Southeast Asia. coconut and mango flavors with glutinous rice and tapioca. Quite an extensive choice.
Bonus: Very friendly staff and an extensive lunch buffet which is a great value in choice and price.
Easily the most authentic Thai restaurant comfortable with a traditional style. versus the Anglo-fusion approach that is popular in other places which fall short in flavor and frankly charm.

We love this restaurant! Lunch is awesome: it’s around $ 10 a plate and includes an all you can eat buffet of delicious soups, spring rolls, rangoons and more. It’s a great deal! One of the soups they had today was very similar to Tom Yum soup; my favorite! We had the pad Thai and the red curry. Both were tasty, but I definitely prefer their green curry.
Dinner is excellent as well, but no free buffet for dinner. Definitely give this restaurant a try!

Thai Cuisine is traditionally themed, but their menu is somewhat modernized. Entrees and appetizers are marked not only as to their spiciness, but for their availability as vegan or vegetarian. They also have an appetizer bar, which wasn’t open when we dined there recently.
We ordered a bowl of Tom Kha to start, which unfortunately sports button mushrooms instead of the Asian variety, but was otherwise tasty. It’s a big enough cauldron to share, BTW.
The curried dishes are fabulous, and like other popular entrees, are offered on rotation on certain days. This forces you to try other menu items, much like eating at your mom’s house. I found it hard to narrow down my choices, because so many of them sounded tasty.
I loved the Pineapple Fried Rice with the brown rice option. The frying was light-touch, and the flavor combination of the scallions, cashews, peppers, curry and pineapple was delicious.
Service was quick and polite, and the décor is tastefully Thai.
You can get most of your favorites here, but if you’re going for lunch, try to go early. The restaurant isn’t very large, but it seems to have a large fan club.

Pros:
–lunch specials with all you can eat appetizer bar! This includes springs rolls, egg rolls, salad bar, soups, fried wontons, tapioca dessert, fried tempura with an assortment of veggies!
–pad kee Mao hits the spot!
–you can’t go wrong with pad Thai, pad see ew and curries
–I’ve gotten the curry pasta and asked for flat rice noodles to substitute– it was very spicy but very good if you like both curry and noodles!
–servers are very accommodating for any sized group and for what you want in your dish
–A lot of the time they have groupon deals!
A friend of mine used to work here, and even now that he’s not there, he goes back to pay for their food. That says a lot about cleanliness of the kitchen and how delicious the food is!
Cons:
–I don’t have anything bad to say!

I go here fairly often and the food is always very good. I can’t seem to get away from either the emerald fried rice or pad see ew with vermicelli. Both are great! I like a lot of spicy and their chili sauce is great for that. The dried chili flakes are good but I made the mistake of putting too much on part of my meal last time and there’s no going back once it’s on there so be careful. We also usually get spring rolls and I have tried a few different Currys, coconut ice cream and fried bananas which were all really good. The ice cream had a bit of freezer burn but it was homemade so to me that balances out.
The atmosphere is pretty good but sometimes they let dirty plates pile up where you can see them in the dining area. They have food on display when you walk in and pictures under the clear table covering which to me doesnt add value but rather takes it away. That being said I think staring at the dessert throughout my meals made me finally cave and try a dessert for the first time last time.

I took my brother out to eat here for his birthday last weekend and this is probably one of the best thai restaurants Austin has to offer! I’m critical of most Thai restaurants since my dad’s side of the family grew up in Thailand and Thai Cuisine is almost as authentic as you can get here. We had:
–Khanom jeeb: pretty good! i’m used to seeing khanom jeeb shaped like siu mai but they were formed as regular potstickers. The sauce they served with it was perfect. (3.5 of 5)
–Som tam (papaya salad): this was one of my favorites of our dinner! I normally never order som tam at thai restaurants because I feel they make it too sweet but Thai Cuisine gets it done just the way it should be! It was extremely refreshing. I only wish they had sticky rice to serve along side with it. (5 of 5)
–Poh taek: this was also SO GOOD. It was piping hot and spicy and sour, just the way my family makes it back home. (5 of 5)
–Khao soi with chicken: I was so stuffed, I barely ate any of this and had to take it to go. It’s made with a red curry and coconut base. This one was just okay for me. I wish they used a chewier type of egg noodle and replaced the bean sprouts with pickled green mustard, which is usually more traditional in my opinion. I also sneaked in some spoonfuls of my poh taek broth into my noodle bowl to add more sourness to the curry, which made it a bit better. (3 of 5)
–Curried catfish: my brother seemed to enjoy this quite a bit! I had a small taste and it was quite flavorful. (4 of 5)
Overall, I’m a huge fan of this place.

There is a complimentary appetizers bar that has soup and salad among other things. I tried the chicken potato soup (pretty good) and the vegetable tempura (onion rings and mushrooms, slightly crispy, but not hot — barely warm). What I really liked though, were the egg rolls and the spring rolls. Lucky for me, the egg rolls were freshly fried, so they were hot and crispy!
For the main course, I had the Pad Thai with beef, «madly hot». The waitress even asked me if I was sure I wanted madly hot… Uh, yes :) When I finally dug in, I wouldn’t rate it as madly, but it was still decently strong. Taste wise, not the best I’ve had, but still good. Personally not a big fan of the bean sprouts — I’ll have to remember to ask for no sprouts next time.
Overall, I enjoyed my meal, and I’m glad I tried this place. It’s a good deal too, thanks to the portion sizes and the unlimited appetizers bar. It’s a little out of the way for me though, so I’m unsure if I’d come back, at least regularly.

Many visits have gone by and it’s time to update my Thai Cuisine review!
Obviously I’ve been back, a lot. I haven’t had better Pad Thai in Austin, so I usually can’t help myself from getting it. Sometimes I can convince my other half to split red curry & pad thai and I’m in heaven!!!
I haven’t branched out much more than that, even though everything I see coming out of kitchen looks amazing. The red curry & pad thai are just so good! I like chicken with mine, but that’s up to you. I’ve also had spring rolls, which are good, and Tom kha which is great!
I’m pretty sure this is one of the best Thai spots in Austin, if it’s just for its stellar job at getting the basic Thai dishes perfected. The only reason it’s 4 stars from me is they seem a little big for their britches! My server had tables all over the restaurant and was taking to go orders. I had to get up and ask him for the check, which has sadly happened more than once here. They are just really busy and need more staff.
It’s too bad about the service sometimes, but I’ll be back because it’s just that good!

Hubs is obsesseddd with this place, and I have to agree that it’s pretty dang good. We’ve only gone for lunch which can be really busy, but their appetizer/soup/salad/dessert buffet pulls at his little-fat heartstrings so I usually give in if we’re playing the «what do you want to eat» game.
Over the last few years, I’ve tried a number of different entrees on the menu, but now I mostly stick with the #7 with beef at spicy level 3 (the options are 1 – 4). Hubs’ crack is the pineapple fried rice entrée, Thai Tea, and their Tom Yum soup which is offered on the buffet on Sundays (chicken) and Mondays (tofu).
Check Groupon for a deal! They’re usually running one, but the prices are still a steal even if they’re not.
