The food is good. However I heard how an employee spoke to and about a favor runner before and after they left. I was disappointed to see your employee treating another person this way. So you loose stars for that.

I have eaten here numerous times and have never been disappointed. Phad Thai has a tendency to be too greasy depending on how they cook it but this one is light. It sits well with you and is a huge portion. I’ve also had some other noodle dish I can’t remember but it was awesome. The spices were understated and just enough to make you want more.

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants that I’ve ever eaten at. I love going in a group and ordering family style. Pad Thai, soup, and curry are what we always order. The late hours are really great too.

The food was fine– we ordered for a work lunch and everyone enjoyed their meals– but the delivery service used by Unilocal was hard to deal with. We had to add an extra entrée for an unexpected addition and neither the restaurant nor people at Unilocal were able to give us a straight answer about whether we could make sure they would be delivered together. When we called the restaurant they were completely confused about having a delivery order. This needs to be more transparent for the people making the order. But, TL;DR– the food was fine and got delivered fine.

Sorry, Thai Kitchen, but no. My experience started with snagging the last possible spot in the parking lot, and walking into a place where the kitchen and back half looked dirty. And that’s where we were seated. I ordered the cream cheese rangoons for an appetizer, and literally one came out with over a teaspoon of oil just sitting in one of the pockets. I poured it out on the plate it was so much. The appetizer itself, beyond that, was unremarkable with no spices, green onions, crab, etc. in the cheese. The pad sea ew I ordered *smelled bad*. I ate it anyway because the person I was with loves this place. It also had a grit to it. You know, like when sand gets in your food? It also tasted like no pad sea ew I’ve had in the dozens of restaurants I’ve consumed it in. Cokes are served in a can, and those and everything else was really pricey, especially considered how grossed out I was. Never again. Lo siento, Thai Kitchen.

Really surprised this place only has 3 ½ stars(at least while I’m writing this). It is so good! The lunch deal is hard to beat — everything on the menu is $ 8, plus you get a spring roll and either a soup or a salad. The coconut chicken soup that they offer as a starter is amazing. It’s tangy and full of sizable chunks of white meat. The salad comes with a rich peanut sauce and is also very good. I love the pad thai here. The noodles are fresh, the sauce is light(they don’t dump a ton of peanut sauce on it like most places), and the portion size is perfect. The service is quick, the place is clean, and it’s super cheap. Great for take out or a quick meal during a lunch break.

I’ve been coming to Thai Kitchen for over 20 years. great food, and not afraid to turn up the spice heat. Service has never been a strong point, but this isn’t the kind of place where service should even be expected. It’s spicy, it’s cheap, and the place has been spiffed up significantly. An Austin legend. try the ‘Never, Never Again’ or ‘Tiger Cry’. and you won’t(or will) be sorry. Yumm.

Really great Pad Thai. Green Curry was too salty and mediocre in taste. Worth going for Pad Thai.

I’ve driven past this place multiple times when driving on Guad, but I never noticed this place until a friend suggested to eat there for dinner. It’s sort of hidden by the huge tree in front, so it’s hard to see when you’re just driving by. Anyways, I am a little bit of a snot when it comes to Thai food because I have had pretty dang good Thai in Dallas, and so far Austin(near UT) has failed me with Madam Mam’s and this place. Not saying any of these places are downright bad, but they’re not what I’m looking for in Thai food. My friend got the pad thai, which is actually kind of unique because they use a white sauce instead of the normal red/brown sauce one is used to seeing. Tastes about the same as a normal pad thai, but a tad more lime-ier. I got the pad see ew/pad zee ew, which is what I like to get usually at Thai places. It was mediocre, ad for the price, I think I would rather suck it up and go to Madam Mam’s and pay a little more for a larger portion. Service was not too bad, but I just don’t know if it’s worth coming back. Maybe to try something different? They do have a lot more options on their menu.

The Pad Thai is excellent here, haven’t found a place in Austin that comes close to beating it… Everything else is mediocre.

Came in 23 minutes before closing and they said they are only doing takeout. Neon sign says open. Not good. Won’t be back.

I’ve only had their curry and pad thai. Curry is a hit-or-miss, at least for me. Some are incredible and it really hits that Thai food spot and some are just too overwhelming in taste. Pad thai is freaking delicious. I wish I could have it everyday or make it at home just like they do it here. It is on point. If you want to explore your spiciness tolerance, this is also the place to go because when they say spicy, they mean spicy.

Best eggrolls I’ve ever had! The shrimp eggrolls are a must! 14d is great! It’s my go-to every time I come here. It is always very delicious. Tum Yum is okay. Could be better :) Overall, a great place for Thai food!

This central place was delicious for lunch. Yesterday was my first time going there and I’m quite disappointed I didn’t know about it before. I ordered a dish called pepper pork. It was infused with flavor that seasoned my white rice. Their beef soup was the best I’ve had in a long time(comes with lunch) + egg roll. The service was great, too! I’ll be back to try more from the menu, but they have a HUGE lunch menu. Stop by if you’re in the area.

Close to campus, has parking, and is open late. Perfect for any student. I love spicy food too and it has numerous(yummy) options on how I should burn my tastebuds off. I also always have to get the tom kha(coconut milk) soup that they serve heated in a fire pot. Minus one star for rude waitresses and another for small portions. I tend to choose this place over Madam Mam’s because it has a parking lot and it’s open later. However, Madam Mam’s does truthfully give you more for your money.

I’ve only been here twice and each time was due to the fact that another Thai restaurant is closed. In terms of selections, they have a huge variety. Plenty of fusion foods with other Asian cuisines. Their hours are great, it caters to college students for opening until midnight. However, the food quality is not always the best and there’s a faint odor as well. I’ve ordered chicken pad see ew, fish cakes, dried egg noodles, and the Thai tea before. The pad see ew is a stir fry noodle dish, but when it came out it was still drenched in a small layer or liquid at the bottom. Also, they don’t give you Chinese broccoli but use American broccoli instead(yes that makes a difference for me lol). Their fish cakes are really crispy and I like that. The dried egg noodles were something really simple that you could have made at home. It tasted like the noodle was mixed in oyster and soy sauce, peanuts, and some sugar with bean sprouts and other veggies on top. Some would like it, but I guess to others its a miss. Their Thai tea has been pretty solid, a little too sweet for my taste, but not bad. The service is decent. On down hours in the middle of the day, you can find workers sleeping near the front on the chairs. I don’t mind them sleeping, but at least do in a private room or somewhere where it is not public because that is really unprofessional. Like stated before, there’s this odor to the restaurant and I can’t quite explain it. Its not a good smell either. My go-to Thai place near campus is Pad Thai. They don’t have a diverse menu as Thai Kitchen, but there’s better quality to their food. Thai Kitchen is a good alternative though. If I ever crave Thai food late at night, I would probably stop by this place!

Most unfortunately, they used to be better. The coconut soup was fine however the vegetable stirfry was lacking in flavor and portion. This place to be an ATX original that you couldn’t get out on. Now not so much. Our server was rude but I expect that varies.
