Matt is genuinely a nice guy and wants to help people. I didn’t make my legal issues easy by any means, but he showed up for me and represented me with professionalism and kindness. Absolutely 5 stars! Truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
First comes first… I’m a young student/​mother and they’re so flexible with payment plans and make it so easy to do.
Second, so easy to contact/​get ahold of. Never had any issue getting in contact! He always calls or texts back and the ladies at the office always email back quickly.
Third… And the best part. He got both of my charges dismissed, and fast. In less than 5 months everything was done and over with (which we all know the court likes to drag things out). I only even had to go to court once, on the final day, just to be told my charges were dismissed and that besides a future removal from my record, everything was done.
Also, he’s not money hungry. He gave me a reasonable price for an exceptional experience. He wants the best for his clients and it shows. Thank you again, Mr. Shrum!

I just found out some good news about my traffic court cases. In other words, I hired Mr. Shrum to represent me, he showed up to the hearings, and successfully negotiated with the prosecutors to dismiss one charge and obtain a deferred disposition on the other one. It used to be difficult to find a good lawyer, restaurant, really anything, before Unilocal and Google, but I found Mr. Shrum through both, and so I shall pay it forward with this 5-​star rating, because Mr. Shrum certainly deserves it. I would definitely recommend if you’ve received traffic citations that could affect your pocketbook and driving record if not immediately and professionally taken care of.

Matt was referred to me by a good friend from NY, but she’s a Texan. I have two young girls, I take them to school and pick them up everyday. Well the law of averages caught up to us and we were rear ended turning right off S. 1^st at 30 miles per hour by a huge SUV Suburban. We were waiting for a pedestrian to cross and were at a dead stop. My girls were secure in the back with booster seats and really felt it. My neck was lashed a bit and I went in for XRays because I was hit by a 93 year old in the early 80’s at high speed. The police were shocked when they saw he was born in the 1890’s! Our car crushed like it was suppost to and we walked away.
The dude who hit us went into a tirade like it was my fault. I was like «whatever dude, should I call the cops?» I got a pic of his license that was kinda smart actually. They had insurance which was good.
Long story short Matt stood up for us and had my little BMW fixed it took over 4 weeks it was so bad nearly totaled. Then behind the scenes like a Wizard, Matt’s team due diligence work paid off. He has outside help but they are efficient and got us a $ 7000 settlement to cover the ER cost and a little extra to pay for a rental car.
In short, Matt is soft spoken but works hard for your case. A lot of attorneys are only interested in their retainer because they believe they are special. Not the case with Matt he took the case on contingency and Won!!! Don’t worry one bit about him taking on your case he’s solid.

Recently i needed a lawyer after i got in an accident and got a DWI, Matthew Shrum was a lawyer i chose. Excellent choice for me. This was my 2ND DWI offence (1ST was 31 years ago). Matt got me off with no probation no fine (still had court cost) and this was a costly experience. I thought Matt did an excellent job, keeping me informed and up to date on my case.
