The Nouveau Romantics are a one-​stop design shop and champions of highly personalized events based in Austin, Texas. From weddings in Texas Hill Country, to the California desert, and all the way to Morocco, we’re a full-​service planning and design studio who are big fans of collaboration and always strive to capture the unique personalities of our couples. Our in-​house design team create event design, florals, and paper goods that leave your guests walking away thinking «that was just so them» — which is what we consider a job well done.

History

Established in 2010.

Beginning in 2010 offering event design, floral, and stationery we’ve grown into a small group of talented designers and planners who now offer full event planning, production alongside our original specialities.

The short review: if you want a premier wedding design & planning team, choose The Nouveau Romantics. They will go above and beyond to make your dreams a reality!
The long review: we hired The Nouveau Romantics for our wedding planning + design, which included florals, décor, and paper goods. From the beginning, we knew our wedding would be an intimate celebration and we loved TNR’s all-​under-​one-​roof approach. My initial meeting with Liz (the owner) went so well, I wanted to hire her on the spot! We shared a vision for how the wedding might look, so the rest was up to the planning & decision making process… over the following 14 months. The TNR team was always available and supportive, and since I didn’t have family or friends who lived close by, they even helped me shop for my wedding dress! Our actual wedding weekend involved events on 4 days, which TNR helped execute flawlessly. Each step, our guests felt cared for — and we received so many compliments along the way! On the actual wedding day, two members of the TNR team continually checked in to make sure that my bridal party & I were relaxed, happy, and fed. We ended up having terrible weather before, during, and after the wedding — thunderstorms and rain so bad our venue flooded in certain areas. But the TNR ladies handled every challenge with excellence and grace. There were so many things that were part of our original plan that they had to change, alter, and roll with on the fly. Our guests never knew the difference and had an incredible time anyways. Even under crazy circumstances, The Nouveau Romantics helped to make our wedding a beautiful and memorable event that represented our love perfectly!

The very best planners in all the land! Our wedding was a destination so they really helped us navigate Austin & choose vendors that reflected our wedding visions perfectly. As a floral studio, they are beyond amazing — I wish they could fill my house with flowers every week. We loved that they are planners & florists as well as paper specialists (they created our save the dates & invitations) — it made everything so streamlined & cohesive. Love TNR!

Liz at Nouveau Romantics is a floral genius. I was in love from the first moment I met her — Liz is laid-​back, no non-​sense, super creative, and easy to brainstorm with. She took the time to come up with a floral proposal that gave me options for my bouquet, the bridesmaid bouquets, the groomsmen boutonnieres, flower girl bouquets, mother corsages, and table flowers. The proposal was nearly ten pages long, and lovingly put together.
We ultimately went with a plum, blackberry, gold, peach, coral, and cream palette with peach roses, ranunculas, scabiosas and peonies. The bouquets were loose, and very organic, like wildflowers growing on a vine. I loved it. Best of all? Liz worked within my budget and went above and beyond what was expected of her. Her designs are intuitive, thoughtful, and playful. When I saw my bouquet, I squealed. It was beautiful and exactly what I had wanted. Thank you so much for making my day, Liz!
