This Lawyer had caused more harm than good to my case. He is not responsive at all. I’ve been dealing with him for almost 7 months now. I paid him an exorbitant amount of money, yet it feels like I paid him nothing because he is not paying any attention to my case. Don’t ever fall for him or his empty promises and lies. He is going to take all your money and then never answers your texts/​emails/​phone calls. HE occasionally doesn’t show up for our scheduled meetings. He doesn’t have the decency to tell me that over the phone or text, but let me drive over 17 miles to let me hear this from his paralegal. He has no respect for other people’s time and doesn’t value the amount of money they invested for their cause.
I’m surprised how he an unethical lawyer like that is still licensed, when he is not responsive to his clients. I have to contact the Texas State bar and the BBB to get my retainer back along with my documents. Other lawyers also have no respect for him because he is always late and doesn’t act in a professional manner. I gave up and terminated my contract with him few weeks ago and hired another attorney. We are now having a hard time getting my documents from him and he is refusing to return my money or an accounting statement. He is crook and my advise is to do whatever you can to stay away from him. Of course, nothing can pay the amount of time and effort I wasted. I have to also fix the mess he created in the case that he was supposed to handle. I don’t know whether he did that for his friend’s sake (my opponent) or he just really doesn’t read his law books properly. He is supposed to decline when I give him such cases where a conflict of interests might arise, or if it’s beyond his scope of work like business/​contractor law.
Update: Until now I did not receive my documents back from him or my retainer. I knew that all his promises are empty like always. I don’t understand why it’s hard for a lawyer to leave his ex client gracefully by handing the documents and the retainer on time instead of continuously lying. That just shows how some lawyers have no respect for their profession.
I came to this unsettling conclusion that this man is even worst than my first opponent in the lawsuit. He is a psychopath and has no conscience. The only thing he cares about is taking other people’s money. He was willing to accept cash from a woman for a cheaper legal service. That’s how low he is willing to sink.
Update: Nov. 6^th, 2015: This man got his license suspended by the State Bar of Texas before my complain even go through the entire process. At this point he can’t take anymore cases.

Run, don’t walk away from this unethical man. He will take your money and lie or misrepresent the facts. He is usually late to court appearances which irritates the judges. Often does not even show up for court. He is seriously disliked by most of his peers in the greater Austin area. HIs behavior should be reported to the bar for disqualification.

James did my divorce. So much was missed which resulted in a less than equal divorce. Frequently showed up late or not at all. Was even late to court! For your own sanity, I would recommend hiring someone else.
10÷27÷15 I had to file a grievance against the person that claims to have studied the law. He’s not a lawyer; he’s a crook. If I treated him the way he treated me I would have been sued. If you hire him after you’ve read the reviews then you are in for your own ride that you willingly paid for.

What ever you do don’t hire this lawyer. You’re checkbook and sanity will thank you. I read the review on Unilocal then saw that he had tons of positive reviews on another site so I decided to try him, 5k later and 7 months after I initially hired him he filled one document, I just gave up an hired another attorney. Not a trustworthy person. Now that I look at the other websites reviews I realized that he probably paid someone so that his rankings will go up. Don’t be fooled by his charm and run as fast as you can.

If I can give –5000 stars that is how much I will give them. That is the amount they took from my credit card without my permission. I asked for a refund and they said there are no refunds. I’m still waiting for them to call me back 2 weeks later.
Update: after much more waiting, and canceled appointments the lawyer called me and said to come and get a refund (minus a chunk of change). (It was the week after Shark week). When I saw him, he said: «Finally», like I have not been in contact. The number he gave me, where I tried leaving numerous messages had a full mailbox and no messages could be left. I emailed and texted too. This was a very exhausting experience. I was referred to him but I would not recommend him to anyone.
