Hands down, the best title office I’ve ever been to. These ladies are fast, knowledgeable and pleasant! I’ll never use the govt agency offices as long as their around!

Went here based on the recommendation of the gentleman that did my car inspection. Super quick and easy. I moved back to Texas from another state. Because there were already records on my vehicle here I avoided some fees. Woot woot! They also do handicapped placards when you bring them the form or an rx for one. If you bring a written rx for one the form doesn’t have to be notarized :)

Went in to transfer out of state title, left with my new plates and sticker in under 20 minutes. Awesome efficient service.

I went here to register and title my car since my partner kept raving about them. Yes, you pay extra fees, but it’s so convenient and quick. Well, my experience was the opposite.
1) I would estimate the total time I spent there at nearly an hour. When I go to the DMV, it always less than 30 minutes even when it’s busy.
2) They did not know the law. I was getting handicapped plates/​tags. They did not know who all qualified for them. Luckily I had printed out a copy of the Texas statute and showed it to them.
3) They gave me an old sticker. I went there at the end of March, yet they gave me a sticker for February. And before you ask, no, the current vehicle sticker was not already expired. It was 100% current and legal.
#1 and #2 I can chalk up to the fact that by definition, half the population is below average.
However, #3 seems illegal. I’m curious how often they do this.
I would like to report this to the state, but I’m not sure where to file the complaint. I stumbled across these Unilocal reviews, so I figured I would tell me story here.
Any yes, I have the receipts and paperwork to prove #3.
DMV all the way. They have tons of clerks, a large waiting room for you and your family. It’s cheaper, they always give you current stickers.

Just like everyone says, this place is amazingly fast and efficient. Bring a check book (or cash, I think), but don’t expect to wait around. I got everything finished in just 10 – 15 minutes. The ladies working here are so sweet… and more importantly, so fast!

I was told about this place from a friend and decided to Unilocal this place.
Every review is spot on! I walked in to get a my slightly over a year registration sticker renewed and I was done in about 10 minutes! I went on a Friday morning at around 9:30 am.
Every review is also right in the fact that they only take Cash or Check. So be sure to bring that before you walk in.

I remember my Dad always going here and now I know why… the place is incredible.
I barely made it at 4:45 pm on a Friday. While I was waiting, I kept hearing them ask other people for their insurance card. Great, left mine in my old car. They said no prob, just call your agent and give them our fax number. Agent faxed over proof and paperwork was done in maybe 5 minutes tops, plates and all. If I had been at the tax office on Airport, I would have still been waiting, and then probably kicked out for not having insurance card.
Even though Universal was crowded, the staff was super fast and super friendly. Sorry Travis County Tax office, not going through the cattle call with you ever again.

Okay, I have lived in the Crestview neighborhood for over 40 years and I have been going to Universal for as long as I remember. Not once have I been unhappy with that choice. 10 other reviewers have given high ratings so I make the eleventh. However, I have some extra information to offer.
1. Scheduling — Universal has limited hours … M-​F 9 – 5, closed on weekends.
2. Funding — they only accept cash or checks, but there is an ATM at the convenience store just down the street.
3. Costs — reasonable. For example, they charge a $ 5 fee for title transfers.
4. Services — they do pretty much everything auto title related and they do handicapped placard renewals. [Note: for lost titles, you can ONLY go to the TexasDVM at 1001 E. Parmer Lane, 512 – 8 374 416.]
5. Attitude, knowledge, and professionalism — 5 stars in all three categories.
This is a small outfit which only does a limited set of things, but they do them mighty damned well. And if you are confused or not knowing what the DVM rules are, they will happily tell you what you need to do. Highly recommended in every way.
P. S. If you go to Universal and succeed in your mission, be sure to stop in at Lala’s just down the strip and celebrate with a cold one. ;-)

I’m standing in Universal right now as they get the car I just bought titled in my name. There are probably 40 other people in the lobby waiting for various things.
They are flying thru the list of people and their needs (mine included) at light speed. Super efficient in this place.
This will be the second car I have bought that I have had titled at Universal and I don’t ever see myself going anywhere else.

They Rock! I have been using them for over a decade for every time I need to register or transfer a vehicle and recommend them highly! They are always patient and get the job done smoothly without having to go stand in line and deal with TXDOT or the tax office.

Service was speedy, friendly and fantastic.
When I arrived this morning (Friday) there was no line. They did the title and registration transfer in under 5 minutes.
I will never visit the DMV again :)

I just left this spot, this was my first time here as a buyer. Super courteous staff, quick process. 15 dollar service charge was well worth the lack of line, and nice folks who seem to actually enjoy what they do for a living.

It’s August 11^th and up until an hour ago I was still driving around with an ⁰⁷⁄₁₁ license plate sticker. Most would not stress just yet. Me, I freaked out every time I put the car in drive thinking that the po’ po’ were going to smell my expired registration coming and get me!
I could no longer renew online, I did not want to pay over the phone and have to wait and subsequently drive around illegally any longer. And I was dreading the drive across town to the tax office.
Enter the bf to save the day. He clued me in on this place. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes at lunch time on a Thursday. The bf let me know it was a cash or check only operation, good to know for the girl who almost never has cash in her wallet. The ladies who man the place are friendly and efficient. Yes, there’s a small service fee (maybe $ 2 or $ 3), but I don’t mind paying for convenience.
The only thing that would have made this experience more pleasant would have been cutting out of work an hour early to renew here so that I could then hop over to Lala’s (just a few doors down) and toast to their great service with a tasty cold beverage. You live and learn!

I generally hate anything automobile related because it means there’s the dreaded trip to the DMV. I have pretty low self esteem, but not even I have the amount of self-​loathing as the employees at the DMV. You know the drill. Going to the DMV is unhelpful, unpleasant, and you know you’re going to be miserable.
Universal Auto Title Services, on the other hand, is a dream. I went in and they greeted me. I didn’t have to wait! I was out of there in a timely fashion! I’ll actually say that this was a great experience.
I’m pretty in love with this place. They’re the best.

People are super nice and the line moved quickly. They only take cash, though– so be ready! There is an ATM in the convenience store on the corner and I ended up running (literally) to get money because I was there at 4:45pm and wouldn’t have had time to walk there and back. I didn’t mind, though– being sweaty was worth a very short wait and my new car registration and plates. Definitely a good place to go.
