UYE – Rob M’s Non-Elite +1 @ The Ginger Man

I don’t know if people write a review for thier own UYE but this is my first one and I want to thank everyone for showing up. Also, thanks to the Ginger Man for allowing us «Non-​elite» types (grin) to hang out during trivia night. Nina H. and Jennifer C. were trivia super stars!
Schedules permitting, I’ll post another «Non-​Elite» UYE or maybe I’ll call it a NEUYE. Unilocal Elites can show up, but MUST adhere to the rules of no pictures of food or drinks unless at least one sip or bite has been taken. I am looking forward to the next event… Be it offical Unilocal+1 or NEUYE.

This was an ingenious idea for a UYE by Rob M. Though I hope it’s ok if I post a pic or two that aren’t ½ eaten food shots. I did make sure to get rid of the name tag as soon as I joined the table though.
Rob M and Nina H were living it up at the Gingerman drinking beer and playing trivia while us –1’s were passing time at a nearby hotel. They were kind enough to allow us to crash the party despite our penchant for writing about the places we like to frequent.
In all seriousness, this was a perfect get-​together on a beautiful night downtown. Cold drinks in the beer garden with such a fun group of people is just as good as it sounds.

So, after the wonderful Elite ONLY Clue Whoddunnit event at the near by W, I (along with about a dozen other peeps) attended the non-​Elite UYE across the street. Luckily Rob M (the creator/​coordinator) let me in even though I’m Elite, but he did make me take my name badge off… still I managed to get away with my Mrs. Peacock outfit intact. Scoff! ;)
Fantastic witty idea, great group of folks, really fun trivia (they ALMOST won!), outstanding beer (s), and some decent bites. Had a really great time and the Ginger Man staff were awesome hosts! The trivia folks even gave a special shootout to n-​e Nina H. for her belated birthday bash!
Thanks to everyone who attended. That Rob M. guy is pretty fantastic, or so I’ve heard. :) And I really enjoyed hanging out with fellow Unilocalers, both newly met and old friends!
This event might be the beginning of a new trend. Just sayin’…until the next one? Cheers!
