I went in the store last night at 6:30 PM.
They close at 9PM. There were three employees and three customers. So I patiently waited and waited and waited. Seems like the employees like to shoot the breeze with the customers and take their sweet time. No one acknowledged my presence or even said hello we will be right with you. I was planning to switch over to Verizon from at&t… Finally one of the customers got finished and they left. Now you would think the freed up employee would take of me now. But no she started walking around the store and didn’t even look at me. Well that was the last straw. I left and Verizon lost a customer that would have probably stayed with Verizon for decades. So now I’m going to check out T-​Mobile. Whoever manages this store is certainly not doing his job or cares about customers…

After wasting half a day researching cell phone plans, my wife & I went into Verizon in South Park Meadows Shopping Center and found Jonathan Ash who was very helpful and friendly finding us the best deal to fit our needs. We were with Sprint for quite a long time and made the switch saving us $ 40/​mo. We highly recommend this store and Jonathan’s laid back no pressure style. We are older and not ‘techno’ savvy and he was very patient! Thanks again for the great service Jonathan. We will recommend you to everyone we know.

I have always had great service from this store, and I’ve been to several. The whole team is so helpful and friendly.
This past week I went in and I was so frustrated with my phone that was acting up, however, I left a VERY happy customer. John, Junior and the whole crew were great! They really worked hard to make sure I left happy. Yay!

Not even one star. This is the worst waste of real estate and payroll I’ve ever experienced. They don’t actually DO anything here so don’t waste your time. I don’t know why they bother with a staffed store location if they can’t take care of anything here. They referred me to everyone else they could think of to avoid taking ownership.
Right after I left I got a delightful woman on the customer service line who was super apologetic and appalled at my experience at this awful store because they lied to me and could have helped me just chose not to. It’s not Verizon, just this terrible store. Stay away, save your time, just call customer service.

Problem solved: Go to Apple. Free SIM. No drama from Amanda. It was too easy. They just went ok sure here you go. Don’t understand why Verizon couldn’t wrap their head around this without being awful and making me argue all night. Duh, just duh.

he made sure i got the super best deal on my new iphone 6, also threw in the case, an extra lightening cord + a hands free bluetooth headset. (btw, my coworker had just gotten the same phone from best buy but paid $ 150 more!)
plus he noticed that i had an old plan, so he got me a new plan, with more data for less money per month.

I just had the most bewildering, strange customer service experience with Rodney at Verizon in Southpark Meadows while trying to upgrade. Without going into the details, he would not listen to us while we were explaining a pre-​existing discount that had been applied to our account until 2017, and kept insisting incorrectly that he was giving us the best price. It was clear that he did not understand what my husband and I were telling him. We even pointed out the line item to him where he was attempting to charge us double our agreed upon price, but he refused to acknowledge that. Whether that ignorance was willful or not, I’ll never know. After three times of trying to explain to him our situation (which was understood perfectly fine by others at this same location, several weeks prior), he huffed loudly, crumpled up the paper we were reading and threw it in the trash and said «I was trying to help you, but now I’m done», and walked away. I was so shocked at his display, that my husband and I just left the store. Absolutely egregious behaviour.

I am moving from Verizon Internet to another company. In my area, south of Austin, they only can furnish DSL. Although it is supposed to be 1 –3 mbs per/​sec down-​load speed which is really slow, at peak use times in the evening it locks up and you can forget using their service. It is not high speed internet and it is a marginal internet service at best.

We have been going to this store since it opened years ago. However, tonight will be our last time. Rodney entered our name on a list at the desk and we were quite happy to wait until our name was called.
After 20 minutes, a clerk walked up to someone else, asked if they were signed in, they said no, but the clerk said he would help them anyway. We would have been somewhat ok with this, except another 30 minutes passed.
2 salesmen were wandering around not doing anything but said we would be next. We left.
It has turned into a very badly run store. Again we won’t go back.

This store rocks! Syed rocks and Rodney is the best! After two other Verizon stores couldn’t help me (I will spare the details and long story) I ended up in this Verizon at Southpark Meadows. Started with Syed (the manager)…maybe he could see the desperation in my eyes but he came up with a solution for me that was perfect! Turned me over to Rodney who worked out all the details… I couldn’t be happier. Thank you thank you!!!

BUYERS BEWARE — A service representative here named Rogelio scammed the person I tried to sell my iPhone 5s to.
I sold my unlocked iPhone 5s (with Applecare and in pristine condition) to a girl on Craigslist and she decided to take it here to get it activated. The service representative named Rogelio, inconspicuously signed into the phone using an unknown Hotmail account (thereby locking it under his e-​mail account), and tried convincing her that she got scammed so she can buy a brand new phone from him. Fortunately the buyer texted me about this so I immediately turned around and drove back to the store to resolve the issue. Rogelio was surprised I showed up. He didn’t think the Craigslist seller would care for the buyer and would help her out. He denied logging in the phone and acted really sketchy and continued to try and sell her a new phone. In the end, I ended up giving the girl a refund and walked out of the store with a brick phone! As we walked out, Rogelio gave an obvious «sigh» and said «so you don’t want a new phone?» What a douche bag! Basically, now I have an iPhone 5S that is locked under a user named «g* * * * * * @hotmail.com». I bet the manager of the store is even pushing to have their representatives perform this scam to get more phone sales.
Stay away from this place unless you want to get scammed!

Rodney is the man! Not sure why so many bad reviews, but w/​the help from Rodney, everything went smoothly. He was super helpful, tried to sell the extras he’s required to, but didn’t push anything.
I switched from Sprint and couldn’t be happier with the cellular service I have now.

Rodney was the best. I switched from AT&T and spent over three hours at the store. They gave me so much free stuff and a kick ass new plan! The manager was a ton of help. I had to wait an hour to be seen, but it was during the holidays. Well worth the wait… AMAZINGLY customer service and that’s hard to find these days, it feels like. Thanks, Rodney! You definitely know what you’re doing.

High priced and never willing to help you out even though we have been customers for over 10 yrs. Price keeps on rising yr after yr. Only reason we stay is for the telephone service. Wish they would do more for there loyal customers.

The frustration of this experience is beyond words but I will try to explain. I signed into the store being told I had 3 – 4 people ahead of me. I waited there for about 30 minutes as over 5 people went ahead of me. I asked where I really was in line and they said I was just two people away. 20 minutes later, I finally saw someone.
When I saw the person, I knew the exact phone I needed. I had previously went to an authorized retailer before but because the salesperson was so pushy, I walked out and decided to go to an actual Verizon store. That was a huge mistake. The offer I had been given by the salesperson at the authorized retailer was not the same at the official Verizon Store. I was told I would still need to pay another $ 70 (vs. $ 0 at the authorized retailer). In addition, the phone was also being offered for $ 0 on VZ’s website but I was told that they could not honor what
offered and could only offer what their stores were allowed. I was told to try to order the phone online and have it in store delivered.
I went online to get the phone and have it in store delivered but kept getting an error message. I tried to use the online chat customer support but they could not help. I was then told to call in. I called into Verizon to find that I would have to pay another $ 50 (not $ 0 like the authorized retailer or $ 70 at the official store). I then told them how awful my day was with getting this phone and how oddly inconsistent the pricing was across each channel and he told me that the in-​store person at the official Verizon location made a mistake and should have matched the offer online. The person on the phone then finally matched the deal.
This is hands down the most non-​sensical and most inefficient run business that purports to enable the latest technology for consumers to communicate w/​each other. What a complete joke. It’s unfortunate that the company with the best network has all of us being held at ransom with their terrible and inconsistent services and exorbitant fees and costs.

I went in twice, to see about upgrading our family plan. I signed in and ended up waiting for over an hour both times and leaving. I’m not even really sure it was the staff’s fault because there were maybe 3 people working and around 9 customers waiting to be helped (a lot of them left), although the staff did spend an awfully long time with the customers they were with. While I was waiting I never even had an update on how much longer I’d be waiting. I’m not sure if this location just needs to hire more people or train their existing staff to work more efficiently, but something needs to change. IF YOU CAN, AVOID THIS LOCATION!

Just had a very unsatisfactory phone conversation with a man at this store. From the get go, his voice sounded harassed, sarcastic, and as though I was annoying him.
I understand that they are probably receiving a high call rate about the new iPhones, so he may be sick of answering the same questions about the cost of upgrading, but he was just plain rude.
I only asked him a couple specific questions, and was about to wrap up the call when he exasperatedly interrupted me with, «Why don’t you just come into the store?!» I was taken aback, but told him, «You’re being rude, but thanks for your help.» He said, «Okay, thanks.» and hung up.
I know I won’t be going to this location after that experience. I doubt he would have treated me that way, if I had been a man calling.

So I visited this store a week ago and bought a phone.
The good things,
It was a quick visit. I went in knowing what I wanted and the store guy helped me, he was great. I wish I took his name.
The bad stuff,
The manager. So the first guy that helped me, asked if I wanted any of the extras, like a case or the protection for the glass. I said no thank you that I know cheaper places to get it.
The manager took over the transaction at the till once he heard me say this to the store clerk.
The conversation went like this.
Do you need a case?
*No.
What job do you do?
*(I told him)
So you know the risks of your phone breaking right?
*It hasn’t happened in years so far
You know the risks of sweat on the phone right?
*Yes, but I don’t want the extras.
How come?
*I can buy it cheaper online.
But we sell the real product here. Online will be fake imitations
*Well they have done me well so far
This is an expensive phone, do you know how much it will be to replace it?
*Yes, but I do not want the extras, I can get them online.
But ours is real glass. It will protect the front of your phone and it is covered by warranty.
*No thank you.
We’ll even install it here while you wait.
*No, thank you.
Well I have been told that I jinx people, seriously, I have people come back here all the time telling me that. But if you don’t want it, that is your choice.
*No, I don’t want it.
I can cut you a deal, I can reduce the price.

I was so close to going else where to buy my phone. The manager was a complete moron. The case would have cost me about $ 75, the sticky plastic that goes on the front another $ 25. $ 100 in all.
Online I bought a case, an extra charger, a car charger, a car window mount, plastic to stick on the front all for $ 15. (Including postage)
If anyone from Verizon contacts me about this review and confirms my suspicions by telling me that this manager is in fact mentally handicapped, I will remove this post. I am a strong believer in having the special needs in managerial roles.

June 2014:
Let me start off by saying that this is the BEST Verizon store I’ve been to in the Austin area!!! Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
I originally came into the store in June of 2014 to add a new line of service. I was pleasantly greeted by a gentleman by the name of Andrew. Andrew helped guide me through my phone selection and answered all of my questions (and I had tons). I was going back and forth between the S5 and the Note3. After I finally made my decision on my phone selection, now it was onto accessories. He helped me pick out a case and even talked me into buying the tempered glass for my phone. He took time out to let me try on different cases and even offered to put the tempered glass on my new phone.
Upon closing of my transaction, he asked me if I worked for any preferred employers. I told him where I was employed and got a discount off of my plan and accessories. Before I came in, I didn’t even know about a discount based on where you work (and I’ve been with them for a year). I was very happy with the outstanding service I received that day and left the store very excited about my new phone.
August 2014:
I came into the store yet once again, to add a new line of service. This time a young lady helped me because Andrew (my original salesman) was busy. She also did a great job. I felt a little rushed but it was ok. I chose my phone and she finalized my sale. I wanted to get some accessories but I knew she was getting ready to go home for the day.
I came back the next day and was greeted by Junior (I think that’s his name), a very helpful and friendly guy. I came there to buy the accessories for the phone and to have the tempered glass put on my new phone. Andrew assisted me with the installing of the tempered glass as Junior supervised. I guess there was a bad batch that came in because he went through four packages to find the perfect one for my phone.
The time that they spent with me was very much appreciated. They made sure that all my questions and concerns were taken care of. Their professionalism, product knowledge and customer service was superb. I left a very happy customer and will return soon for my new gadget.

If you can, make an appointment, it would be a bit easier. Thankfully, our wait wasn’t too terribly long, just 20 — 30 minutes.
We were upgrading a phone as well as adding a line and just to add a twist, turning a phone in for credit. The sales person who helped us was Christine and she was just awesome! She was very up beat and personable the entire time. Even the computers going incredibly slow didn’t deter from her demeanor. She was very patient with questions and thorough in her explanations.
While I have been a Verizon customer for over 14 years, I generally tend to stay out of the stores because of not being much for crowds or long waits. Christine helped minimize that as much as she could and I am very appreciative!
