Really nice little ice cream place(cash only!). Lots of flavors and topping options with huge portions! The serves are also super nice about letting you try things which is a plus! I got the Buccaneer Tracks and it was GREAT! The smores one(which my friend got) was also good but a bit too intense to have a whole scoop of.

The shipwreck is a must for your group. Great homemade ice cream. They also have live music and other performers for the family during the week.

Ice cream is good but way OVERPRICED. I see more ice cream thrown away than eaten. $ 20 for 2 kids I guess they got to make their money quick.

The kids really wanted to do the shipwreck. The kids were underwhelmed looking at the tray that came out… scoops of ice cream in a upside down plastic lid with some plastic cups of toppings on the side. Blaaah. Wish it came out assembled so it is more fun. Oh well… it is still icecream and it is still good ice cream.

They have a wonderful variety of flavors and toppings. It’s hard to choose whether to get crazy caramel chocolate pretzel or butterfingers blast but its really hard to choose the wrong thing. The staff can sometimes be a little disorganized however, it does get pretty busy. My main complaint is the prices. $ 4 for one scoop is pretty ridiculous. They do give pretty large portions however $ 4 is still $ 4,

I wish i could report that my family had a positive experience. Unfortunately the service was not good and when we tried to talk with the manager we were treated even worse than the staff members that decided it was better to pick off the toppings from our ice cream vs. make us a new sundae. A simple«i’m sorry, let me see how i can help you» would have sufficed after our $ 65 purchase! Instead her response was«don’t worry, we won’t forget a face»! I guess they have enough customers? That’s OK, Avalon has enough ice cream places as well. Avalon Freeze and Sundae Best — here we come!

I absolutely love the ice cream here. I love how they serve it in a boat-shaped cup, very cute!

The worst thing about this place is having to make a choice between flavors like: Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, Moose Tracks, Heath Bar Yogurt, Butterfinger Blast and Peanut Butter Ripple. What a conundrum! While my inner fat kid kept pushing me to get all of them, I «behaved» and only ordered the option that included a delicious mix of carmel and peanut butter. I was not disappointed. Mmm, mmm, mmm!

September 28 and it is the only ice cream joint opened on the 7 mi beach I think. So we finally visited. It was very good!!!

I had suuuuch a good sundae here! It was Death by Chocolate ice cream(it had delicious brownie chunks in it!) with hot fudge, whipped cream, and a cherry! They top each scoop with whipped cream! Even for lactose-intolerant me, that is heaven haha My boyfriend got a coconut almond milkshake(you can make any flavor of ice cream into a milkshake) and he said it was great. I got my mom salt water taffy and she liked that as well!

Oy the young pirate couldn’t see the movie because it was rated Arrrrrrr. The B is located right in Avalon. So many competing places for ice cream. While the B isn’t my favorite(see Springers for that) it is a top choice in Avalon particularly if you take kids. There are many flavors and toppings to choose from. The ice cream is very good. Portions are ridiculously huge. Note there is a bit of deception: the small isn’t really the smallest portion, it’s a medium at two scoops, with kiddie being the smallest at a single scoop. You want kiddie. I know, it’s embarrassing to order kiddie as an adult, I suppose that emotion is there objective, but it’s still huge. Ice cream here is expensive, brace yourself. But it’s Avalon, everything is expensive. The B also has entertainment some nights; a magician, juggler, and singer. Fun stuff for the kids. Not every night so check the calendar. The boldest can go for the Ship Wreck: 12 scoops of ice cream and all 15 toppings in a giant bowl in a pirate hat you can keep. Finish it, even with friends, and they will take your picture for the annual wall of honor(or shame depending on your perspective). I made the wall in 2010 and the memories are not fond. Aside from feeling like a slug afterward, I didn’t like that you can only order 3 different types of ice cream, ie 4 scoops of each. I understand that some patrons would take an hour to pick out 12 different scoops, but I say that’s a buzz kill. Even so, I am a pig at heart, can’t resist a challenge, and vane enough to want my picture on the wall, so I’ll do it again this summer. Go to Springers for the best. Save the trip to Buccaneer for a night when they also have the Juggler or Magician.
