History

Established in 2015.

Catalina Tours was originally started in 2012 out a need for a way to represent small tour operators on Catalina Island. By providing booking services and general information, we became a one-​stop shop for most activities & excursions on Catalina.

Erin Eubank took over Catalina Tours in 2015, to continue that same mission, by creating a more user-​friendly booking site and expanding on existing features, including growth of package offerings and greater support for custom packages.

Business Owner

Erin’s family has been visiting and/​or living on Catalina Island since the 1920’s! All of Erin’s summers were spent on Catalina Island while growing up. In 2003, Erin, her husband Gene, and their three boys moved to the island full time when they purchased the Catalina Coffee & Cookie Co.

Erin also worked at The Inn on Mt. Ada where she helped run this upscale historically registered B&B as an Innkeeper for nearly ten years. As Erin’s time at the Inn was coming to a close and two of her sons were heading off to college, Erin thought it would be the perfect time to add a new entrepreneurial venture to her repertoire. She started Taste of Catalina Food Tours — the one & only food tour on Catalina Island.

Catalina Tours was a business that supported small tour and activity operations, like hers. She had several ideas about how to improve their offerings, and took over in 2015. Erin hopes her teams at each of her small businesses will be able to help you enjoy your time on Catalina!

Looks like I’m writing the first review! I’m giving this place four stars because we had a positive experience with Catalina Tours. We made reservations for the electric bikes for four hours on the island, which was our mode of transport to get from place to place (since cars are not allowed). Many people on the island were going around in golf carts, but we had a great time
My only negative review of this place was that the bikes weren’t ready for our allotted time. We had to wait an extra 30 minutes for the bikes to be prepared. They did ask us when we got there if it was okay that we come back half an hour later, and we said yes, but it would have been nice if they had been ready for the designated time. Other than that, the man working there was friendly and informative and gave us a great route to follow and ideas of how to spend a couple of hours on the bikes on the island. The bikes worked well, and were clean and easy to use.
Overall, I’d recommend Catalina Tours if you’re interested in getting an electric bike to move around the island. I can’t speak for the other services they offer, but I’d assume that they are equivalent!
